“I have been banking with Star One Credit Union in the past several years and I am very happy with them. My mother and my son also opened accounts at Star One upon my recommendation. I feel Star One is way better than any of the other major banks we have banked with in the past - Wells Fargo, Chase, and Bank of America. Star One's savings rate is much higher than the major banks, and I don't need to worry about being hit with high fees. Plus they offer very friendly service at the branch with a personable touch that has been lost at the big banks. Recently the tellers at the De Anza branch helped my mother with an IRA account transfer to a brokerage firm. The contra firm demanded various documents (even though the information was included in the statement submitted), and was not being responsive to inquiries. Urmila and Charlton worked with Lina in the IRA department to fulfill the contra firm's requests and got the account trasferred successfully. My kudos to them for going above and beyond to help a customer.”

“I walked into the bank around for10 PM. I was waiting for a banker to help me out. I needed to get a print out of a credit card statement. He finally got to me just before 5 o'clock closing time. Mr. Di wu (Woody) helped me out. He was very patient with me because I was not quite sure what I needed to print out. He never said anything about The bank being closed now, he just did everything he could to help me. I walked out of there around 5:35 hopefully I did not make him late for anything. I really do love Chase bank. I switched years ago from Bank of America to Chase. I have never regretted it.”

But I recently visited the Safeway branch in Cupertino, and I was extremely impressed by the style of customer service these group of guys offer. Vu H Huynh is the manager at that branch, and he has a very nice way of making sure his customers are acknowledged as soon as they approach the bank, and happy at the end of each transaction. His team seemed to have the flexibility, and his encouragement to use their personalities to help each transaction go smoothly and efficiently. They don't mind getting a little loud, and being a little goofy to make the customer feel at home. I am very impressed with Vu, and I am glad I had a chance to visit his branch to witness excellence in customer service. It is rare to see this level of quality.”
