I have used them in the past and have never been disappointed. I tried my luck without an appointment for a smog on my personal vehicle. Went in they accommodated me in a timely fashion. The office lady was very kind and kept me aware of the time it would take. I was in and out of there with my certificate in under 45 minutes. Quick and efficient - no trying to upsell which was nice. Parking is a little hard to come by some days as they are a small shop out of many businesses at this location.

I have taken my treasured car, a 2001 Buick LaSabre, to Auto Phoenix several times. Each time, I was extremely impressed and pleased with the friendly customer service and the vast mechanical knowledge that Brian provided. I highly recommend Brian (Auto Phoenix), without reservation.

I have been smogging here for 6 years. We have a 1981 Buick Riviera. Car has a 4.1 v6 and it is a Federal car. Shop / Test guy has no personality at all. Ever. Which is fine, because I'm there for a governmental test. The car has passed every time it tested here. This year, it was a NO / FAIL. The office staff, called me up, and said, that the car failed. I asked can you tell me why? She pointed to the test and said because of these two items. I asked "can you tell me what those two items are?" She said "you need to go to a shop - today, this will be $91.75. And if after the work is done, if you come back, we'll take $20.00 off the next test."While I'm not (that) upset it failed, it would have been nice if the dude (with no personality) would have at least advised what caused the fail. No loss to them, I will not return.

I've taken my car here for a safety check, back when I had my Forester. Apparently, whoever worked on my car prior to me getting the smog, had changed something on my exhaust. I did pass, but he made sure that I had the correct paperwork to keep in my car if something were to happen. It tells the changes that were done. And it was all legal. Brian Gilbert is professional all the way around. His shop is organized and the cleanest I have ever seen. I recommend going to him, he's a really nice guy. But don't go to fast while driving or you'll miss the entrance. Not very often you find an honest mechanic.

I have hesitated to write this review, because Brian is simply the best, and also I love how he can almost always take care of my car the same day I call him! Cleanest auto shop I've ever laid eyes on, and Brian loves problem-solving, from the idle issue on my 95 Acura to a bad cylinder on my uncle's 2010 Silverado, if it's broken he will figure it out, then fix it, then explain it in detail, then give you a super good deal. I am so happy that I stopped in here for a smog check a few years back. Auto Phoenix has been my go-to ever since. Surely the best-kep secret in Cotati!Services: General repairs & maintenance

This place we’ll steel your hard earn money I took my truck have it smog and it failed I was concern why it failed so it passed everything besides Egr valve supposedly and gas cap I took it somewhere else it passed I asked the tech and showed him the smog paper why he failed me he told me he was trying get extra work make more money . DO NOT go there he we’ll find something fail you this is not my first time and it’s going be my last time I go there horrible.new owners it’s not the same people that owned it before be aware !!!!!
