Service is horrible, smells like smoke in the lobby, don't take debit cards. The lobby isn't cleaned up well, chairs are all dirty, they say when booking it's unlimited miles but when you show up they are not unlimited miles. People getting brand new cars with mechanical issues. Terrible experience DO NOT RECOMMEND

Their service is amazing! Very understanding and patient people. There was a situation and they willingly picked us up back and forth 2-3 times from the airport and back. Highly recommended.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!! I highly recommend that you do not book with this place. You're better off booking with Dollar, Avis, Budget, Hertz, literally any other car rental place (there are tons at the SNA Airport which is 5 minutes from this place). U-Save is NOT affiliated with the SNA Airport.Just like the countless 1-star reviews state, I booked a rental car from Expedia.com with UNLIMITED MILES. I received a call one day before my pick-up from "Mark" stating that I can only drive 200 miles! I told them that the booking stated UNLIMITED and Mark said that it's in the "fine print". There is no fine print that states 200 miles only. Mark then says, "I'm just calling to tell you it's 200 miles, if you don't like it, I can cancel your reservation", then hangs up.File Complaints on Better Business Bureau: bbb.org/file-a-complaint

Had a great experience with USave Orange County. Read the reviews and came prepared with a copy of my insurance card. Shuttle was there right away to pick us up, driver who was also the office staff, was very friendly. Read fine print of your contract so you know where to locate the shuttle and the number to call, because it is not on airport property. Last shuttle is at 4:00 pm so be aware of that for your return flight. Car was clean. Everything worked our perfectly, couldn’t have been happier.

Wow! What great service at extremely competitive prices. Amir and Dorothy were so friendly, helpful and kind. I live in north OC but found myself needing to rent a car since my car was in a nearby repair shop and they discovered they needed it overnight during repairs. I checked prices and availability via Priceline and especially considering proximity to John Wayne Airport, I was incredibly impressed that the prices were so low. I booked a car for same day. Check out was very smooth. Amir was knowledgeable and helpful, plus super friendly. It’s great to deal with someone so nice when it could have been a stressful situation. Dorothy pulled the car up for me and walked me through the inspection. She is also a very sweet person. I know that car rental agencies can become super busy and some unscrupulous agents gouge you on price, but it’s apparent that these folks care about quality service and do their best to please. I highly recommend U-Save Costa Mesa without equivocation. Great job!

I never thought in such a short moment of time that I would get an amazing driver, his name is Amir but they call him Joe . He’s a 10 for sure . He’ll give you his apple phone charger for you to use while you come to the rental store. So far I am super happy.

I've never been so blatantly discriminated and lied to directly to my face. I booked a car for 4 days to SF on Expedia. Just like the other countless reviews, the confirmation stated "Unlimited miles." When I go to pick up my car, he tells me there is a limit of 200 miles a day. I told him explicitly no, that's not what the contract says. He then tells me "yes it is, it's in the fine print go read." First of all, what a customer service... Secondly, I said ok tell me where and I'll go read. He couldn't! It's a made up policy the branch added to make an addition fees when you have to pay for going over the mileage. I insisted and he could not point to one place on my Expedia contract, when I pulled it up, that said the unlimited miles has exceptions. Then this is the best part!!! An older white man walks in (I'm a young minority woman in my late twenties) and he hands his keys back and is super happy. I follow him out of the office and in the parking lot I ask him if he got unlimited miles. He smiles and says "yes ma'am, straight from my Expedia booking!" It's was like a movie!!!! I go back inside and I tell him he is picking and choosing who he can con with his extra fees, thinking young women will give in. My dad then comes inside after he parks the car, and he sees my dad and then says "ok ok you guys need a car. How about we settle on 300 miles a day? Does that work?" My dad just wanted me to have my car for the trip but I was so vehemently against the principle. This is who they are, they charge less but they lie to you about make more on hidden fees. LASTLY, I get a statement 4 weeks later informing me that because I used a Golden Gate Bridge toll, of $8.75, they're charging me an additional $55 processing fee bc of toll road. I called toll road and they told me this car already has an account with them. So it was proceeded automatically. I mean these people should not be in business.

Booked via Orbitz - stated unlimited mileage on full size car, upon arriving at counter . Agent stated only 200 miles per day . Which I showed him my contract online and what it consist off . He stated nope , do you need the car or not .With that being said , please look elsewhere if your trying to avoid inconvenience to your plan trip with that " 200 miles only per day "

I rarely write reviews, but I had a really great experience with U-Save and I wanted to share.First, the place had the best rates available. I usually don’t like going off airport because of the extra time, delays and inconvenience of shuttle busses. But to my amazement U-Save was faster than on site car rental. The place has the vibe of a family run business, and the service was attentive, personal and very efficient. There was no pressure to buy insurance, I got my car in just a few minutes, and after dropping off the car the guy personally gave me a ride to the airport, without me having to wait for a full van load.Next time I’m in Santa Ana / John Wayne, I’m starting with U-Save.

I used this service back in May and have been so busy since coming back home to leave a review. I'm traveling back in October and I hope to use them again. I was able to interact with a few people that work there, everyone seemed nice. I didn't exactly want to take this trip as it was a difficult time for my family, but Amir picked me up from the airport initially and was so incredibly sweet. I really did appreciate him being empathetic to my situation, I won't ever forget him offering his time to listen and provide such nice service. I hope to see you all soon! Thank you again!

This is a seemingly small off-airport car rental shop. It is close by...it's just on the other side of the airport runway. The BIGGEST thing to be aware of is the hours of operation. They close at 5pm, so you cannot pick up a car after 4:30, nor get a ride back to the airport after then. There is a key dropbox but you have to get a ride to the airport by cab after the office closes. They were upfront about this so it wasn't as much of a surprise and their hours are clearly listed. The van driver, Dorothy, was great! So friendly and helpful. The most important thing was that the car was fairly new, fuel efficient and worked perfectly. That's what you are paying for, and they came through on that part.

The one star goes to the woman that gave us the car. By far this is the worst rental car company I have had in over 15 years. I go it thru economy bookings, I bought full coverage and UNLIMITED MILES, when I arrived to the front desk they didn't even recognize the insurance I bought, after arguing the man told me it wasn't full coverage and I still needed another insurance to cover if I hit a car. He also informed me that there was no such UNLIMITED MILES if I was a California resident, just wow!! What kind of b s is that. And also I could not take the car outside CA lol. I returned the car at 10pm, there's no one there, you just drop the keys off in a box by the door, I was afraid something would happen to the car and later I would be blamed. Never again this b s company. Stay away. There's better ones by the parking of the airport (all of them are better).

Website says rental closes at 6pm. Employee states they close at 4:30!!!! No shuttle to airport had to find a different way of transportation. Employee just walked away. Very unprofessional, very rude and inconsiderate. I’m thankful we still have daylight.

Great place - I received a good deal on a new Jeep that worked for me perfectly during my short trip. Lots of extras on the car. Apple Play was awesome with my phone. I recommend the place and Joe for helping me out.

Used to be green motion or still is, but that is no longer showing the poor reviews. Not a good experience here. Look elsewhere!Edit: I just checked the charge on my account and it is actually from USave and not green motion. Priceline has you as green motion. So I guess my poor experience was in fact with USave. Sounds like you are being dishonest by having multiple company names and then closing the one with worse reviews. To be fair the 2 shuttle driver we had we very nice and professional. The man in the office was a grumpy person who poorly answered questions and acted like he had better things to do. Also whoever is in charge of washing and gassing up cars needs to be better trained. Our car was dusty interior and not vacuumed or detailed. Also the gas was 3/4 full so good luck filling it back to that line without over filling. Which we ended putting too much in. Never received a dirty car nor a car that wasn't full when renting. I can provide a receipt if you want proof. This company seems very hit or miss and ours was a miss.
