The Strength Co. has been the one thing in the last year that has had the greatest positive impact on my entire life. This is a gym for anyone and everyone is welcome. Every coach is an expert observing your every repetition of an exercise. They give clear and concise cues to correct movement errors which keeps you safe. I stated nearly a year ago without a background in lifting. Now, I can lift more than I ever thought possible. This has made my everyday life outside the gym better. I am more confident and able to move with ease e.g. hiking, biking, surfing, loading/unloading the car, lifting people, etc. Thank you Grant (the owner and a coach)!

I am probably the opposite of someone you think of when you imagine a person who might try to lift weights. I am tall and gentle and feminine, and although I've been somewhat athletic throughout my life, I have never thought about being strong. I am honestly not entirely sure why I started at the strength co, but it continues to be one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Grant has created an environment where everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities (and it actually feels that way). Heavy weight is what is heavy for you, and everyone encourages you with your heavy. The coaches are knowledgeable and patient, and they make it safe to try new and hard things. The strength co has given me more than I anticipated, and physical health is down the list. It is teaching me how to show up and practice interacting with heavy things no matter how I feel. It is an ongoing experience of how a willingness to work and struggle a little bit can build you up, and how attention to the small things over time can lead to big change. It has shown me that some aggression, when used appropriately, can lend itself to meaningful work. I could go on. It also feels good to be strong! I would have never thought I would be the person asked to replace the water bottle at work. I interact with the world differently than I did - who knew! And contrary to what I feared I have not become some huge, muscular dude. In fact, this process has really challenged some unhelpful thinking around weight and what makes a body valuable. So for the ladies out there, the strength co might be especially for you. Strength training is more physically and psychologically challenging and meaningful than I could have known, and the way the strength co approaches it makes the whole process fun, safe, and accessible for everyone. I work as a psychologist and if I could I would send everyone to the strength co!

Strength training can be an arduous process. You need an ally (or allies). Grant really knows his stuff. I met him at a seminar in Texas in 2020. He stuck out to me as a great coach, and when I needed to find some kind of online coaching solution he was the first person that came to mind. The approach they have to online coaching is fantastic. Real time feedback is what you are missing when you can't attend a gym in person, and they've worked out how to provide that with online coaching. I highly recommend seeking these guys out whether it be in person or online.

Great introduction into strength training and the reasons why it's so important. Extremely knowledgeable staff, top notch equipment and welcoming environment for newbies and old crusts (almost 50) like me. I've been lifting off and on for 30+ years and made the common mistake of thinking I knew all I needed to about strength training. Not the case at all. I learned a great deal during the "Intro Class" and look forward to continued learning and improvement during weekly classes.

This review is long overdue!! I've been lifting at Strength Co for almost 2 years and have loved every single moment - even the challenging moments. This program has been the most consistent experience I've had with a training routine. It's easy to fall in love with the coaches and people who join. Strength Co very quickly began to feel like a family for me, as we all begin to watch each other get stronger every day, in more ways than just physical strength, reaching milestones/PRs, having challenging lifts, processing emotions, learning from the guidance coaches give me and others, etc. Coaching and consistency in my training has allowed me to build trust in my body and mind. At Strength Co I've done the seemingly impossible, with grace and strength. Lifting weight beyond my own body weight created a strange psychological shift. I remember thinking, "Wow, I can finally carry my own weight!" and loving the mindset shift. Life just became easier. Not just because I can lift my own luggage overhead and up endless flights of stairs when traveling, but because I gained a deeper understanding of how committing to myself, leads to trusting myself and my ability to do what I set my mind to. Squat, bench, deadlift, press, repeat... These seemingly very simple exercises became the foundation of my journey to boosting my self-confidence, trust, dedication, and love for myself and as a bonus, increasing my overall physical strength and abilities. For ladies that are worried about "bulking up" or getting "too big" from weightlifting, relax... I still wear my same size clothing and as a bonus, my booty is extra perky! Lol! I'd highly encourage anyone to join. Strength Co is for all ages, all genders, and all levels of physical ability. I love how caring and attentive coaches are at Strength Co. See you at the bar and have a great lift!

Strength Co fosters an all inclusive environment where all levels of fitness are welcome- don't be intimidated! Coaches actively invest in every member and are genuinely motivated to help all achieve their goals. Strength Co has been such an immense blessing to me personally. Regardless of your current level of fitness, your age, your weight- there's a place for you at Strength Co. They offer numerous class options every day and each coach is well versed and uniquely motivating. Those in your lifting classes quickly become more like family, can not recommend Strength Co enough!

I love the Strength Co - I've been using this gym a couple times a year when I'm traveling in SoCal and it is *top* notch. I use it to 'drop in' and get my lifts in... if you're a barbell lifter and want top equipment and / or coaching - this is the place! I'd also highly encourage people considering strength / barbell training - they have women's classes and cater to all age groups (you're not too old!)... really, my only complaint is that there isn't one in my home town!

Grant hooked my brother up with an amazing weight set on short notice. I had almost two weeks with the weights and really respected the craftsmanship and feel. It's great finding a gym and an entrepreneur like Grant and The Strength Co. during Covid.

Wow! Great service and products!
I would consider myself an intermediate lifter; I initially ordered weight plates from them and began training with them. Their weight plates are great, solid quality made here in the US. They care and treat customers like real people. They are thoughtful, respond when you call or email them, and follow up. Customer for life.

Great program. Awesome coaches. You get one-on-one coaching with every work set, but are paying for a class rather than expensive personal trainer prices. The people are super friendly. You can count on them cheering you on when you hit a new personal weight record.I absolutely love it. ?

Can't "weight" for my zoom class tonight. Being coached in lifting has literally been the best health decision I have made this year, this decade! I highly encourage other women to get "under the bar", it is life changing in so many ways! Thankful for an awesome coach @_connor_king_ and for @gpbroggi and @thestrengthco . Check out the website and articles to help you get started.

I didn't think I could squat. I didn't think I could deadlift. After struggling with back issues for years I was told time and time again that I shouldn't squat and I shouldn't deadlift. Instead I did a lot of exercise including HIIT workouts (where we used approximately the same weight each time), spinning, various fitness apps, etc. I got a ton of exercise but the back pain never got better, and would actually be markedly worse after some sessions.Fortunately I ended up at Strength Co and learned a few things during my intro session:1) I actually could squat and deadlift. My coach gave me some instruction, and then guided me through getting under the barbell and performing a squat. A similar thing happened with the deadlift.2) I had no idea how to lift properly, and if I was going to do this I wanted to do it right. 3) The people in the gym that night, women and men, were STRONG. They encouraged each other when someone was pushing through a heavy set. These people were clearly part of a community. I wanted in.My coach put together a program and gave me individualized coaching and feedback during all of my sessions. They take the time to explain the science behind the movement, and why things are done a certain way. I continue to learn so much each time I set foot in the gym. Getting strong takes hard work and there are no shortcuts to performing the reps, but isn't that the whole point of accomplishing something? After a couple of months I started to experience some hip pain during the squat. Grant (the owner) put me in touch with a physical therapist who was familiar with Starting Strength. We put together a plan and after about 5 weeks I was able to begin adding weight again each session, and before long I was back to my regular program with no pain or issues whatsoever. The coaches knew I could do it all along. The only thing that stood between weak me and strong me were my own doubts. So if you want to get stronger but have reservations, or maybe you're like me and have been convinced that you can't, then I strongly encourage you to bring your doubts into the Strength Co and leave them there.

I have been barbell training on my own for about 2 years, but have recently been looking for a certified 'Starting Strength' coach to help take my fitness to the next level. I found The Strength Co on youtube, and really liked their training philosophy as well as their community-focused mentality. I first contacted them through the chat feature on their website (https://www.thestrength.co/), and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they responded to my inquiry. Grant Broggi, the founder/owner of The Strength Co, suggested I get started by taking their 'Intro to Barbell Training' class to check my form and help them determine the optimal training program to be specially designed for me. A few days later, I took the class and was instantly hooked. The whole experience was top-notch... - The facility is incredibly clean and well organized - The equipment is all top-of-the-line - The coaches and clients are all very friendly and helpful - And the training session itself was challenging yet rewarding. I look forward to continuing to train with the team at The Strength Co, and am confident that, with their guidance and encouragement, I will be able to reach my fullest strength potential.
