After being a customer for decades at Saks I'm never going to shop there again. I bought my mom a Louis Vuitton purse there and she changed her mind and didn't want it anymore. I brought it there and the manager was arguing with me and said he can not honor my return even though it's been just sitting in the bag since it was bought.

I write this review with so much gratitude for Duanne (I hope I spelled his name correctly) in women's shoes. I purchased a pair of Chanel sneakers while in NYC SAKS. I was in a rush and didn't realize they fit a little too big. Unfortunately I had left my receipt in my hotel room in NYC before flying back to CA. The time and patience Duanne displayed in helping me was truly genuine and helpful in every way. These days it's extremely rare to have a sales rep be excited and genuine in wanting to assist customers over the phone and I'm so pleased. He took the time to help me retrieve my original receipt. He called me back when he said he would to give me updates and ultimately helped me with my exchange. With the holidays coming up I wanted to express my gratitude and Kudos to him!

I wish I could give this review zero star. Saks Fifth Avenue has the worst return policy when it comes to perfume and cosmetic. I bought a perfume set and a foundation in store but realized that I didn't like them both when try them at home so I brought back to the store to return them but they said that they are not in a 'saleable' condition so they cannot offer me a return. I literally just open the perfume box and try it once as well as the foundation. First, they never informed me about that ridiculous return policy when I purchased the items. Secondly, none of the department stores that I know of ( Nordstrom, Macys, Bloomingdale's, ..) do not offer return for opened cosmetic and perfume items.

On September 16th 2021, at the South Coast location, I made a return of three different items with separate order numbers for each item. All items were purchased using a different form of payment, meaning three different card numbers. Two of the card were separate Visa numbers and the third was a Saks retail card.

Rude and unprofessional SA and managers. Bring your money somewhere else like Nordstrom or Neiman to buy your designer goods. Worst experience for customer service ever. That's why they're losing to all other department stores. Hey Saks if you really read this, train your employees before putting on the floors, you're losing a lot of sales because of them.

For a high end store like Saks they should be incredibly concerned that they have an employee named Henry that works in their shoe department. My mother and I were shopping and we were asking about a certain shoe and he was so rude and was insulting us by telling us that we don't have the money to be able to purchase it. All the while my mother is covered in Chanel and I'm in Louis Vuitton. Even if we weren't dressed in brand name how dare he be so rude and insulting. What a disgusting human being.

Good experience for me at this location! It's been a while since I've been in a Saks and they closed Saks down in SAn Diego years ago. This location seems much older/smaller than the one I frequented in another state but they had some nice digs. I came in since I was in the area and had a gentleman immediately come by to say hello and asked if I needed help. He ended up showing me around the entire store! I really wish I remembered his name because he was just super friendly. I didn't end up buying anything that day since I was visiting on a whim but hope to be back again soon.

This was my first time shopping at Saks. I was really pleased with their selection and the associate who helped me (Michelle) was very kind and helpful. My only reason for not giving this place a better rating was because the "manager" that came to help was rude. She had her mask hanging under her mouth and nose and had an attitude. I noticed the dress I needed for early tomorrow morning was missing some beads on the sleeves and asked if there was any way she could discount it since I didn't have time for alterations. She didn't have to be rude, it was just a question. Michelle gets 5 stars, however.

Specifically referring to the Jo Malone/perfume section employees with a better-than-thou attitude who refuse to let customers try samples of their non-refundable perfumes prior to purchasing them. What kind of idiot buys a product they aren't certain they'll enjoy wearing prior to trying it? It may have been one bad encounter with a young woman who thought she was "special" because she had enough $$$ from working retail to buy a Gucci belt bag, or maybe everyone at this South Coast Plaza location is a snob with a "nose turned up" attitude. I couldn't say. All I know is I'm not giving my business to a company that treats me like a street rat just because I want to know what I'm buying before I spend my money. I took both my cars for a test drive before I bought them, but I get it, your $150 perfume is one-of-a-kind and not for just ANY customer. Don't waste your time with this Saks. Go over to Bloomingdales or Nordstrom where they treat you like a customer, not a beggar. And to the young woman with the gucci belt bag and the Rodeo Drive attitude, maybe shelve that for when you aren't selling perfumes at a retail store.

On July 23 2021 I arrived at the Saks Fifth South coast plaza Location to purchase a mcm bag once in the store I asked sales associate Lana Ruban where are the mcm bags she directed me to the section.I walked over to the section and picked up one of the bags I tried the bag looked in the mirror and stated to Lana that it's to big for me I like small bags the size of the one that's inside she stated that they only had them in the colors on the table I asked Lana do you carry them in red she stated no.Lana stated well the bag is a perfect size because your not a small girl I was very shocked and it took me a Second to register what she had just stayed it to me so I asked Lana i'm sorry what did she say and she repeated the same statement and I asked her to elaborate on what she means and Lana stated well you're not a petite girl.I stated to Lana that I am very offended and that that's not nothing that you say to a customer that she tried to purchase an item.My weight has nothing to do with the bag that I'm purchasing.I asked to speak with a manager Lana went to get Kim the manager I repeated the incident to Kim and she said well I'm going to apologize for her I think it's her language and I'm sorry I will talk to her.I Kim that it was Very unacceptable and that I want to the corporate's number Kim stated OK and that she will go locate the number.In between this time the associate LanaApproached me again accent is there anything else I can help you with.At that moment I felt as if Lana was taunting me so I told her you have done enough for today please leave me alone.Lana stood there looking me in my face until I told her to please leave Then she walked away upset downstairs.After 20 minutes or so Kim came back with her phone saying that she is texting someone to get corporates number.I told Kim that Lana approached me again and Kim said she will be right back.Kim went upstairs after waiting over 30mins Kim came back with general manager Chris Bures Introduced herself and handed me her card and asked me what happened I stated to Chris what happened and how Lana made me feel and Chris Apologized.IStated to Khris that I still want it corporate's number she said that they were trying to locate it and that they will be back she later came backWith a car and said it was a third-party number that I can call.I Also asked Kim What was going to happen with the associate and she told me that she'll have a performance evaluation and depending on what level Lana will get a write up after.Chris asked Kim where is the gift card They trying to be a $50 gift card which I declined. Chris nor Kim Asked me was I OK what's my name my number or email.This situation is not OK It's unfair and nasty I currently suffer from depression and anxiety about my weight I recently was divorced because of it often times I can't even get out of my bed for this to happen the one particular day I decide to come out side was very disappointing to me I kept my composure inside of the store because I had my two small children with me but I just wanted to fold up and cry since then I had a serious meltdown and I've been emotional since that day Body shaming or any Discrimination is a serious issue and should be handled In the correct manner not with a customer walking away feeling like nothing was done to fix the issue.
