Just left our first vet appointment here. Wow! Marcella and the doctor were beyond amazing. The front desk was so nice. They are so honest about what your baby needs, what the options are and they print out an invoice before you pay so you can discuss. Beyond helpful. So glad we found our new doctor for our Nala. Also, not sure if there are more nurses but definitely ask for Marcella. She was the sweetest and so gentle while giving out 3 shots.

vet spent more time explaining to me why I should pay her $75 for the exam than the 1.7 seconds she spent on the exam Update: if you leave a negative review they will refuse to fill the medication your dog needs unless you take it down

This hospital has saved the life of two of my cats. First, I had a senior tortie who had lost over 7lbs (half her weight) due to stomatitis in her mouth. All other hospitals gave me prices for tooth removal at $7-10k and that just is not possible for most average people. Dr Lepera did it for $1200 and did all follow-up appointments for free. Today, I took in my youngest cat. She was the only one of my six not yet fixed, and despite her super young age (less than a year, indoor only), she developed pyometra, which is a uterine infection usually found in older unfixed cats, not usually ones as young as my kitten. Pyometra is fatal if not treated in time. They got me in at 930am (I called at 8:20am) and they took my kitten in for surgery by 1pm. The surgery went well, and they told me it was good I brought her in because my kitten would have died within days! They have saved two of my cats from critical, life-threatening conditions for around $3k COMBINED. Thats half the price I was quoted for ONE and it included multiple different tests, diagnostics, and medications. The staff is friendly and compassionate and knowledgable. They are transparent about what they will be charging you, and they don't push things beyond ensuring they are clear about why they are making the recommendations they are making. This place will do their best to protect your pet. They aren't God, they can't save every animal that comes in, but if they can't, it won't be from negligence, lack of competency, or lack of compassion. No matter what your pet needs, you can rest assured that if its possible to treat, they will treat at the best price available locally. You won't find another vet with more compassion or accessibility. Highly recommend!

My brother recommended Mesa West and we love Dr.Lapera and her staff. I witness how well they treated my brothers dog. They are always caring, honest and conscientious with our dog Charlie. We travel from Riverside to see her because we couldn't find a doctor and staff that were as caring and thorough in our area.

Wow! By far the best Vet I've been to! The girls upfront are so sweet and the friendliest!! They took care of my baby so well and took me same day appointment without waiting. They are affordable and care for your little one. Definitely my go to place for any problems! Thanks guys again

Worst place .. turned away my dog that needed attention .. Their excuse was they close early on Friday .. If you are looking for a non-compassionate non- caring vet then this place is perfect .A guy came out and said there were no vets there and they were all out .. What you are vets that make house calls? When he told me they close early it was 2PM..they close at 4 on Friday ..Simple math tells me you had 2 hours to see my dog ...Who ever this guy was is a nothing but a LIAR SHAME ON YOU YOU ARE WORSE THAN BAD ... Animal haters

5 stars! I usually only leave reviews for restaurants but I really want this place to do well because they really care about you and your pet. We've been taking our dog Brownie to Mesa West Pet Hospital for 11 years and even though we now live up in LA, we drive down the 1.5hr for all check-ups, operations, etc. We can really trust the people that work there, on top of showing genuine care about your pet, they are always fair and open regarding costs.

I first took my dog Peter to Mesa West in Nov 2020 and she was diagnosed with heart disease. Dr. Lepera and her staff took amazing care of her for the past 2.5 years and I'm so thankful for their kindness when she passed on June 19, 2023. Dr. Lepera was so sympathetic as Peter's condition declined and I really appreciate her honesty in regards to Peter's condition and how she encouraged me to weigh the cost/stress on Peter in her final hours. Because of Dr. Lepera's honesty, Peter was able to spend her final moments at home in peace in my arms rather than at an emergency hospital. I'll definitely continue to bring my cat Keanu here!

I saw Mesa West has great reviews on yelp and had a level of trust and confidence my pet would be well taken care of there. However, I personally did not have a good experience with the female doctor for my pet's consultation. She was hasty and answered my questions with an unpleasant demeanor. I took it at face value as maybe she was busy, not having a bad day, or flustered that she didn't know the answers to some of the questions regarding my pets health concerns/operation. However, it found it highly unprofessional when she said $1,000 is our price and you can go somewhere else when I asked for the break down of the cost so I'm informed and knowledgeable on what I'm paying for exactly. Second, when I arrive for the consultation there was addition fees that was added. I called in prior and they gave me a quote, but when I arrived it was a higher price for the consultation. I would advise others to not be exploited with the various fees and unprofessional doctor. Its important to be able to have a good rapport with your doctor who is providing care for your beloved pet. I asked a couple other hospitals and they don't charge such fees and said that it's unprofessional but not uncommon with small general hospitals/clinic to add or change prices as they like. I was surprised to hear so from other hospitals. Otherwise, the medical tech was very professional and pleasant. Front staff was friendly and helpful. Hopefully, this can save some of you folks from having a similar experience!

this place sounded great. I called and asked the doc to call me. its been three weeks?? was advised doc in surgery and would call back. no call back receptionist was new but stated she would have doc call me- I do this in anticipation that i may need to deal with vet later. still waiting

Whether the procedure is serious and invasive or routine and minor, Mesa West is the premium care provider to entrust with your pets. Businesses like this are making the world a better place.

Quick appointments! Lots of other places in the area can't take appointments for WEEKS. Everyone here is also very very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend prices are fair as-well. Thank you guys for helping both my fur babies with their allergies! I have two Boston's who were miserable from allergies and were scratching like crazy each one received a shot and within 2 days like a miracle both have completely stopped scratching. We had tried so many different things. Even spending triple at another location for an unsuccessful band aid to the problem. Thank you guys very much.

I wanted my pup to have the best care and I'm so happy I found Mesa West! I was staying in the OC area for a bit so I was looking for vets around there but I moved back to the IE and I still drive an hour to come here. That's how comfortable & satisfied I feel about this place. All of the staff I came across are super friendly and helpful. They have amazing energy and provide great information. Thank you for taking care of my Hokkaido! Highly recommend this place :-)

Dr Lepera is a wonderful vet and her whole staff (especially Yolanda) are so kind and helpful. I ended up at Mesa West because of an emergency when my previous vet would not see my dog nor would two other vets I called. I was so scared but Dr Lapera was there for us and said "come right in" which are the words you need to hear in an emergency .. not "sorry we are closing in five minutes- good luck." Three times now Mesa West has seen my dog in the same day and helped us. We love them!
