This Citibank branch gave my family the best bank experience of our life. My brothers and sisters and I were left holding a check that needed to be deposited into a new account..Like a whirlwind, we flew into this branch with a hundred questions,, requests confusion and excitement. We were introduced Banker Pedro Nino who made an appointment for us, took us in and and graciously handled our situation. Whew, he even did the follow up needed to make our whole banking experience complete. Thank you Pedro Nino and CitiBank for helping us through this transition in life.

I visited this branch after having 4 wire transfers within two weeks auto cancel due to them “not being able to validate my information.” I have sent wire transfers under $5k multiple times with no problem, however I am purchasing a home and needed to send these escrow deposits. After being proactive and calling customer service to go through validations, they apparently have an internal system “Lexus nexus” that is black listing a new cellular number I just acquired and nobody at Citi can seem to fix it or work around this issue. I visited this branch and explained the problem and the teller/banker and manager on shift came over and said they’ll notate my account but recommended I should “just withdraw all my money since they can’t get my wire transfers to approve” and close my account. They did not seem to care at all. I was a former Citi employee 16 years ago and currently a Priority account holder with well over 6 figures across my bank accounts and a soon to be secondary investment property under Citi mortgage. The way they handle their customers and their business is mind blogging. I relocated to florida and am still unable to wire large sums of money online and tried every option. I can never get anybody on the phones based in the US and nobody will ever escalate my call. They just tell me “I’m sorry, please wait 4 hours for your wire transfer to send.” Every wire transfer gets cancelled and not once have I received a phone call or email to validate my information while pending. I am on my way to a branch two hours from our new home in Fl and closing my account as well as providing negative reviews on every site possible. Do not bank with Citibank unless you want your money held hostage. Such an inconvenience. I don’t understand how this branch is still in business either in Costa Mesa- Harbor, let alone this bank in general.

Manager assured me he would fax forms to central office in San Antonio, but he never did. I even called to follow up and they assured me they would fax the forms.

My husband and I went to open a joint checking account. We made an appointment online and when we arrived it was empty and there was one banker and one teller. Everyone was super friendly and nice. We met with Gerardo (Jerry) who was a pleasure to meet with and was very informative of all the details of their checking accounts. I really appreciated him helping us out. Please be kind as they are shortstaffed just like everywhere else so be kind, be patient, and be prepared to wait. I definately recommend this location and if you get the chance to ask Jerry anything he's great!

My husband and I went to open a joint bank account and we made an appointment online with Gerardo (jerry). He was absolutely amazing! He made sure we understood all the details of each checking account they offered. There was nobody when we came in, but afterwards there was a line of people and I felt bad because they are very shortstaffed like everyone else, so rememeber to be kind and patient and expect a wait. Everyone at this branch is super friendly and willing to help!

I would NEVER recommend doing business with Citibank! I tried multiple times trying to open an account online, but their system did not work. Then, I tried calling to do it over the phone, and finally succeeded after multiple attempts due to their unreliable phone system towards the beginning of the pandemic. Once it was opened, they would not grant me online access to deposit money until signature package was signed and returned via USPS mail. Well, I never received it and unbeknownst to me, my account was closed because they did not receive that signature card within a certain time frame. I called again to open, but I kept getting mixed information saying that I no longer qualified for promotion. Once, I learned that I still qualified for promotion, I opened up an account via phone. However, I kept running into mail delays because they send all correspondence via USPS mail. Finally, I decided to go to the Costa Mesa branch and met with the Branch Manager Devoi Eduad to move forward with opening my account. She was a pleasure to deal with, but she informed me that my account was closed again, and to open another one. I kept asking her if she was sure that the account was indeed closed. I told her that my main reason was to get the promotion for opening the account, and she said she was positive that it closed, and that I still qualified for the promotion. After finally making my deposit, I later get notification that I no longer qualified for promotion because I had an existing account open. I asked her to look into it, and she said there was nothing she could do. Basically, Devoi screwed me out of $$$ promotion by forcing me to open another account because she failed to complete the process of the account I previously opened over the phone. I was so disappointed because I patiently waited all that time to open a checking account with a bonus, and then get nothing but stress and headaches in the end. Because of this, I closed my accounts with Citibank, and took my money elsewhere. Most banking institutions are much easier and quicker to deal with. You can easily open accounts online with higher interest rates that only takes minutes to open. Citibank's process is far too complicated, flawed, and long. Their website doesn't work, when you call to do business with them on the phone, no one calls you back to follow-up on finishing the process. You have to wait a while for someone to approve your application to open an account. Then, when you get tired of waiting for approval, you go into a branch and deal with the manager who doesn't know what they are doing! Please take your money and business to a better bank!

The service at this location is five stars. The process of making large transactions was smooth and the staff is so nice. The special accounts of personnel are professional and nice. I feel comfortable coming in person and bring helped with what I need because I know they will do their best to help me.

I like everyone at this branch they are not inexperienced if you want that level of service go to wells fargo or you probably have an account there as well. Anyone walking into any citi branch period is going to be dealing with staff that has years of experience, though each bank operates in it's own manner, and there are times when the line will be longer you reap what you sow I enjoy honey over vinegar for any proletariat .

I have never had a worse banking experience in my life. As the executrix of my mother's estate, I was tasked with transferring her account from a revocable trust into an irrevocable trust, and I spent over an hour at the branch with Gerry on a Thursday afternoon. Since I was from out of the area, he said that he would accommodate my schedule to be sure that I was able to sign all the necessary documentation on either Friday or Saturday, depending upon when the docs came back from the Legal Department. That they would likely come in by 10 am on Friday. I stopped by Friday and was told they hadn't come in yet. I received no phone call on Saturday. I headed home on Sunday, emailed Gerry on Monday with no response, called him on Tuesday with no response, called on Wednesday and spoke with another banker about my extreme disappointment with Gerry and my desire to speak with the manager, and I was promised a call first thing Thursday morning from Gerry or the manager, which never came. I highly recommend that you stay far, far away from this awful branch.
