From the moment I stepped onto the unkempt carpet to the frustrating end of my visit, my experience at the Cartier store in Costa Mesa was nothing short of abysmal. Misinformation about their credit card policy, coupled with a glaring lack of training among employees, led to an hour of pure vexation.The staff seemed utterly clueless about the nuances of different payment methods. Despite my clear intention to use my Google Wallet and business debit card, I was given a hard time. Even more baffling was being told that a "debit-only option" was non-existent. That's preposterous!To add insult to injury, my card was rejected due to a protective measure by my card issuer. Rather than displaying empathy or understanding, the attendant's demeanor quickly turned sour. She insensitively directed me to call my card issuer and, after enduring an extensive hold with Wells Fargo, her patience seemingly evaporated.The coup de grâce? After consulting with her equally ill-equipped manager, she returned to inform me of a baffling store policy that permits only one card rejection. Their baseless assumption that I was attempting some form of deceit was the pinnacle of unprofessionalism.In a last-ditch attempt to make my purchase, I suggested a simple debit charge, a method that rarely gets rejected, only to be met with further resistance.The ambience did nothing to salvage the experience either. The omnipresence of aimlessly wandering employees, seemingly there just to smother customers with their unwarranted stares, made the environment unbearably uncomfortable.I left the store with a bitter taste, empty-handed, and an hour less in my day. This branch not only failed to uphold the reputation of a globally renowned brand but also succeeded in ruining my day. Buyer, be wary!

This store discriminates in a condescending manner based on what you wear. I was not allowed inside just because I had black t-shirt and sportswear.

Firouzeh's dedication, knowledge, and genuine desire to help us went above and beyond my expectations!! I cannot express how grateful I am for her outstanding service for years on end. From the moment I entered the store, Firouzeh greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel genuinely valued as a customer. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm were contagious, instantly creating a welcoming atmosphere where I bought the love bracelet of my dreams!! My wife bought a wedding band for me here. Jenny Lin took care of us while we were there for the 2 times (once to purchase the wedding band, second time to pick it up). There was a feeling of unwelcome energy from her upon stepping foot inside the store. A bit snobby and arrogant if I’m being completely honest. We were never even offered anything (usually waters and whatnot). We wanted to customize the wedding band with our initials and dates but Jenny advised us that it would not fit, even though the Cartier website allows up to many more characters and letters when we test it out online to see how it would look like. So we ended up buying a ring with our initials and dates mashed together like some barcode. Later on, we found out, from a different store (also Cartier) after buying my wife the exact wedding band she bought me, but in a smaller millimeter, we were able to fit everything!! The second store felt bad from our horrible experience with Cartier South Coast and with Jenny Lin, that they offered to re-do my wedding band for me for free, and fit everything I originally wanted on there…..

i am and always will be a cartier fangirl. never have i had a bad experience with sales or service appointments. they're the only luxury house that doesn't judge you by the cover and the products on display are available to everyone, unlike some of the luxury houses that play the fake demand / supply game, runs a basically fake storefront with things that are "display only".quality is superb and they stand firm by their quality as well. all of their pieces stand the test of time, and for good reasons. i've also started to graduate to their sister brand, vca, and they're just as stellar.they're temporarily located downstairs across tiffany's as their permanent location is going through a revamp. can't wait to visit the boutique when the remodel is completed!

Cartier a vole mon couer :)This location of Cartier is located by South Coast Plaza. During my visit they have a temporary pop-up on first floor by the carousel, but their permanent location is on the second floor by the Macys. Cartier represents a timeless elegance. I have been wanting a piece for a long time, and finally made the move on the actual day of my birthday. You are able to make a reservation if your visit is planned, otherwise there might be a wait since they limit their store to a certain amount of customers. It was a quick wait and the Allen helped me with my purchase. He asked if there was anything I was looking for in particular, and I already knew I wanted the Gold Juste Un Clou Bracelet. I just didn't know what size. Allen let me try it on one that was an okay size but I wanted more space so I got a bigger size. If there was any doubt in my mind, the minute the bracelet came onto my wrist I was 100% sold. Like done, ready to check out. Allen even offered to let me keep it on and enjoy it right away. When I really appreciated and liked about Allen was that I didn't feel like he was rushing me. He welcomed me to try on other pieces even knowing I had already decided on what I wanted. I also really liked the Love Bracelet... NEXT!! I'll be back. So Allen welcomed me to a comfortable sofa check out area. Allen was so polite. He always handed me things with both hands. Maybe I notice this because it is the respectful way to hand someone things in Asian culture. Like a one handed motion can be perceived as rude to some of the old school folks. I'm not that intense but when I see the two handed motion, I appreciate it. Also, I was given Perrier sparkling water. Upon payment, he saw that it was the actual day of my birthday, so he called for champagne and got me complimentary perfume samplers as a birthday celebration gift from the store. Aww I was so touched!! This was definitely a memorable birthday. I was encouraged to enjoy the amenities and relax. The packaging of everything was extremely thoughtful. I had a certificate of authenticity, a travel pouch fit for royalty and the box itself was wax sealed. Fancyyyyyyyyy!!There is also a lifetime warrantee on this product so I am able to come back for a shine anytime I'm at South Coast. So now that I have a taste... time to save up more money for the next piece. I have Allen's business card so I look forward to coming back the next time I'm ready to get my Love bracelet.

Went here with my fiancé this past week. We were walk-ins and searching for wedding bands based on recommendations from our family. The woman helping us was very pompous and condescending to both myself and my fiancé for our questions about wedding bands. We came here knowing a small amount and instead of educating us in a respectful manner, the staff member helping us was condescending and annoyed that we didn’t know all the details coming in. We were very disappointed in our experience and it ultimately left a sour taste regarding Cartier.

Almost made my purchase online but decided to make the long drive from where I live to see the product in person before purchasing. There was no appointments available online for the same-day, but to our surprise there was no one in line. Normally there is always at least a handful of people in line.Upon arrival, we were introduced to our SA, Robby. He was nice, knowledgeable, welcoming, and efficient. I believe our whole purchase took a matter of 15 minutes - which included ringing us up and completing our warranty paperwork. And we were offered beverages upon our wait for our purchase to be wrapped up.An excellent experience - will definitely be back and work with Robby again :)

We want to take this opportunity to thank our SA Teresa Cho at Cartier. We have been shopping here multiple times and Teresa has been wonderfully attentive, knowledgeable and very professional. We have never had a bad experience at Cartier and the entire team has always been warm & welcoming. We look forward to each visit and our purchase at this exceptional upscale boutique.

The most beautiful timeless pieces and exquisite craftsmanship! It was surreal and serene. Felt right on the money and the aura. They charge 50 bucks to change a Cartier battery tho! None of my batteries last long. Always dying. I've had this for over 20+ years too! I've never been charged to replace my watch battery tho. Especially at the actual Cartier store.

My SA didn't text me any updates on my Love Ring while it was being resized (until I texted her about a different purchase I made) and when it was ready for pickup, she said I could just walk in. When I walked in and was being assisted by someone else, she didn't even acknowledge me. SAs here are only focused on commission, not customer service. Also, the boutique is always too warm and muggy.

Went on a Sunday afternoon with my two kids and we waited for probably 5 minutes. I knew what I was interested in before arriving so this expedited my process even more. My SA, Chen Li, was very knowledgeable and swift with assisting me in getting the ring(s) I had my eyes on. Within another 5 minutes we were in the parlor signing paperwork and completing the transaction with my Perrier in hand. Chen Li was so professional and polite I requested to purchase an additional ring because it just felt right.During this time, my kids were enjoying themselves while being offered snacks and coloring materials. As a parent, ensuring that not only myself but also my kids are having a positive experience is a big factor in selecting luxury brands to be loyal to. We will definitely return to this location in the future!
