We rented a 12' moving truck on 4/17/23 to use on 7/7/23. We received an email the evening before we were to pick up the truck saying the truck was no longer available. When I called the Budget call center, a person named Charles told me they'd have one sent over from 22 miles away so it would be ready for us in the morning. When we got there, the girl at the counter said they hadn't received any trucks and the 4 sitting in the lot were "out of commission." We will never be using Budget/Avis again in the future for any reason! What a huge disappointment!

THEY CHARGED ME $75 for NOTHING!!! ?“rent n ride llc” they are a franchise owner of this Budget truck location.I showed up 30 minutes before closed (a the of my schedule reservation), I was then told that I had to buy their insurance, even though my insurance covered rental trucks. After I challenged her on this, she said I had to call my Ins Co in front of her to verify. I was shocked, and told her that in 30 years of renting trucks from Budget, I have NEVER had to do such a thing! I only had to sign waiver of responsibility In the past. So I gave in and called my insurance—but we got a msg saying their call center was closed, since it was a Sunday. Then she said she would have to charge me anyhow. I said “ok, I’ll pay and just take it up with customer service on Monday” to which she replied “ I don’t want to rent to you anymore” I said that’s fine, but you still have to. She said no I don’t. So I said, get your supervisor on the phone. After arguing about that for a while, she finally called him and then, after a five minute talk, he made up a story saying that they could not rent to me because “they have to do a 10 point inspection on every vehicle before they rent it out.” And when I asked why they don’t just do that, he said the mechanics weren’t working that day. (Obviously a bunch of BS and just straight up lies.)THEN they had the audacity to charge my card $75 for cancellation fee the next day *WITHOUT TELLING ME* after THEY canceled my reservation and left me stranded. -100 stars. these people need to be SHUT DOWN!!! ???

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYI don’t normally write reviews but this was a horrible experience. Got quoted for $580 but when I went in to pick up the truck they charged me an extra $200 for the “mandatory insurance” and $25 per day because I’m under 25 for 4 days even though I’d only be using the car for 1 day. By the time I got the truck it costed me just over 900 dollars. Had I known the final cost prior I would’ve gone with another company. Anyway I get about 10 miles down the road and the tire pressure light comes on. Pulled over and paid to fill all the tires but the light persisted. Drove for another couple hours and the maintenance light appeared. When I finally got to my location I found out the side door was jammed. Just turned in the truck and now I’m just waiting for them to hit me with some more charges.

They told me that truck engine light would be on no issue. Went to get gas gas tank was messed up took 1hr to get gas truck was dirty and ac didn't work driving to Arizona! Called budget customer service after explaining the situation and the told me 24-48 hrs for a supervisor to call me. Absolutely awful Budget should change there name to Garbage. Seriously upsetting!!

After renting a truck with a dead battery and receiving a super glued ignition key, I can honestly say that Budget/Avis will never receive my money again. I am very disappointed in their customer service and quality of the rentals they are giving. First and last time renting a truck with them.

Worst company I have ever worked with. I reserved a rental truck weeks ago. Now they are telling me they don’t have anything available and no one is responding to my calls. It’s been 6 hrs since I was suppose to pick up my car. I’m suppose to be leaving tomorrow morning. They screw with your life and then they expect you to just take it. I’m going to make sure I blast this company every chance I get.

Received a dirty vehicle but took care of it myself, windshield wipers not functioning on a rainy weekend. 2 other upset customers waiting alongside me. Save yourself the troubles, go elsewhere!!

The experience I had at this location vastly differed from other reviewer posts. We rented a one way cargo van from them and from the beginning, they were very accommodating to both my mom and I. Van was clean, comfortable and topped off, exactly what we reserved. We had an extra charge that was immediately refunded once notified. ALL staff members were friendly and super patient with us. A+ and Thank You!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is a scam and the so called owner, Joe, (if that’s even his real name) is a scammer and is a fraud. I can’t believe they even call themselves a business.I reserved a truck more than a week in advance to use to move. “Joe” called me the day of my reservation stating that they didn’t have the truck I reserved and that they could only give me something smaller. I said I would come in and see if it would work. It didn’t. The truck they offered was smaller and MORE expensive. He wouldn’t honor my original reservation and did NOTHING to help remedy the situation. He had other trucks and rental cars on the lot that he could have offered to solved the problem but instead when I suggested these options he said “there is nothing I can do”. It’s pointless trying to negotiate and do business with scammers.I requested a total cancellation and asked for a signed receipt reflecting no charge. They said they couldn’t print a receipt. What business doesn’t have a printer?! He wrote me a hand written receipt and still did not honor my cancellation. I received a $75 “no show” charge which I disputed with my credit card company.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They are well versed SCAMMERS.

Scum of the earth! F*** this place. I would give zero stars if I could. My mother in law rented a car for four days for $170. She asked if we could keep an extra day and they said no problem. When she returned the car they charged her an additional $800 as a late fee, $800!! I called and they said there's nothing they can do. Don't rent here! Go anywhere else! Not surprised they only have 2.5 stars. Trash.

Do not reserve a car with budget. If you do they will call you less than 48 hours before pick up and tell you that they are 200 cars short and it’s not their job to fix it. Then tell you to call an 800# that does not work. When you call back they tell you not to call their number back. They refuse to help modify a reservation to another location and put all the blame on you. The manager Jim is the one who hung up on us more than once when we advised that they waited Until the last minute to cancel I. Is and refused to help them gave us a no. Working number. When you say the number works in the office it’s an internal company number so that doesn’t mean it works for people outside of the office.

I have been to this location several times. It seems every time I use them there is some issue. This location is not the closest to me so I only use them when I don't have a choice. I only rent their trucks. If you by yourself you will need to park your vehicle on the street over night because they won't let you park on their lot. I called and reserved a truck over the phone they said they had a truck. I drove down from Anaheim. I get there and I said I don't see the truck. We step into the office and the woman says "Oh I just rented it out. WTF ! There has been Many issues with this location. The woman there is usually opens up the place and she has been late every time I've been in there. I'm upset people can do business this way. They are upset with me because I am up set with them. Go figure.

Awful experience!!! We reserved online and in advance. We went to pick up our vehicle and were told we needed their insurance. We called our insurance broker on the phone (and onsite) and he verified that our insurance would cover our rental. But Budget would not honor their contract with us unless we spent the extra $50 for their insurance. The j*** Manager actually told us that he had the right to refuse and, "wished us good luck". Oh yes, then they just tried to charge our credit card $75 for a no show. This location used to be great but the last two times we've had problems. We were relying on this company and they left us stranded. Go elsewhere!!!!

STAY AWAY! We made a reservation 5 days ago, they call us saying they will not honor it, to look somewhere else like uhaul. When I tried to ask if there was another truck option or drop off location Joe hung up on me!!!! Budget client services does not help AT all. I have never had an experience here corporate and locations give such different information. I'm moving to San Diego and had to scram and hurry to find another company because they simply won't honor their reservations. And the attitude of Joe was terrible. Don't understand how he can be in customer service. Filed a claim with budget but clearly they don't care since I'm just coming here to see several others have had my experience. Pathetic.

I made a reservation on Saturday for a Monday morning truck rental. Received a confirmation email. When my daughter arrived Monday morning to pick up the truck, they didn't have any record of my reservation, nor did they have the size truck I had reserved. They wouldn't allow my daughter to use my credit card that I had entered in the reservation. Also, I was charged a higher price for a smaller truck, received one less hand truck/dolly than I had reserved. And they charged me for the second hand truck, without giving it to me. When we took the truck back, my daughter made sure they checked that the dolly was there. They called me the next day to say that the dolly was missing. Sounds like they make money doing that - thankfully my storage was right up the street from the return place and we were able to verify it had been returned. Terrible business practice. I complained via corporate email and they offered me $14 back. What a joke!
