I just wanted to post to you really quick...Sometimes in a busy gym, setting, there are misunderstandings. I had an individual get very intense with me over the use of a certain machine... he got so intense that he ended up using profanities to insult me personally.Over the days afterwards, staff, the manager, and the general manager all helped to explain to this individual that his temper was inappropriate and will not be tolerated by 24 hour fitness. They made me feel secure that, if I had any problems again with this individual that I could let them know and that they would handle it.Thank you 19th street 24 hour fitness staff for handling an intense situation really well.

This gym is affordable but unfortunately is always crowded and filled with people that don't respect the equipment, the facilities, or those around them. It ultimately led myself and my partner to go to a different gym.We came in person in March one last time to cancel our membership, we were told it was canceled and shown a confirmation on a screen showing such. Little did I know we weren't helped by the proper person, our accounts weren't canceled and we were still getting charged monthly. Part of it is my fault for not noticing the charges, however, they didn't do their jobs, they mislead me, and I've been throwing money out the window each month. The resolve: "there's nothing we can do about it, only the GM can process cancellations and I don't remember processing yours". If you want a cheap gym this'll work but I'd recommend saving yourself the grief and go somewhere else.

I recently attended several yoga classes led by Roda, and I must admit that my experience was quite frustrating and disappointing. I feel compelled to share my thoughts and observations about her teaching style as I believe it's important for prospective students to have an honest perspective. One of the most significant issues I encountered in Roda's class was her condescending attitude and her tendency to make rude statements towards students. Yoga is supposed to be a welcoming and inclusive practice, and it's disheartening to see a teacher who fails to embrace these principles. It's essential to remember that not all students are at the same skill level or have the same physical capabilities. Some students may have health issues that prevent them from executing poses perfectly, and it's the responsibility of the yoga teacher to create an environment where everyone feels supported and encouraged.Unfortunately, in Roda's class, I noticed a lack of empathy and understanding when it came to students who faced challenges due to health issues or language barriers. For instance, some students, may not be fluent in English and rely on visual cues to imitate the poses accurately. Instead of accommodating such students, Roda was overly controlling and discouraged students from looking around to correct their poses. This created a sense of discomfort and inadequacy among those who needed visual guidance.Furthermore, Roda's verbal instructions were often incomplete, which added to the frustration of students who were struggling to follow along. It's crucial for a yoga teacher to provide clear and concise guidance to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the practice. Incomplete instructions not only hindered the learning process but also raised concerns about the potential for injuries during the class. In summary, my experience with yoga teacher Roda left me feeling disheartened and frustrated. Her condescending attitude, lack of empathy towards students with health issues or language barriers, and incomplete instructions made it challenging to enjoy and benefit from her classes. Yoga is meant to be an inclusive and nurturing practice, and I hope that Roda can reflect on her teaching methods and make the necessary adjustments to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for all students.

Dirty dirty gym. Machines are all icky and falling apart. I’ve been to numerous locations and this is probably the dirtiest gym I’ve ever step foot in. Yuck

This gym is pretty run down in desperate need of maintenance and repair. Management has given up on this location.

Loved how empty it was today! It's usually not very busy if you watch google and adjust your workout time each day but today was awesome.

Went here last week while charging my ride at the Volta station as a form of multitasking. Had very low expectations, given how gross many of the 24 hour fitness gyms have been and haven’t been to this location for years. To my surprise they had multiples of the equipment for specific body parts, wasn’t too busy (3pm afternoon), and had a quiet peaceful workout. I like to do opposite body parts for efficiency so I don’t spend hours at the gym and they had enough available so wait time was minimal.Of course with any gym, you’ll find the spread of meat and roid heads, but this one seemed pretty chill. One down side was the men’s shower, it was as cramped as a cardboard box ?.Besides the minor glitch, I’ll be back soon for a workout.

I ended up leaving because even though I was only paying for the $35 membership, this location and the other one closest to me, constantly had weights out of place and a messy look and feel regardless of time of day. Not a huge deal, I know. But unless you’re paying for the membership that allows classes and the pool, it’s not that much better than planet fitness. I’d rather opt for a bit more expensive gym and ensure I get what I pay for.

Roda was great!I am 57 and my husband 61 took the Senior Stretch class It was fun! I stepped it up a little and made it more cardio. Did my own version and made it work to my level. The gym is old. The showers need a bottle of bleach diluted with water. Leave it and you're good. No scrubbing needed. Simple as that!

One of the most disgusting gyms I've ever been to. There mold, everywhere, hair under wood seats in the steam room. It smells like it has not been cleaned in months. Seeing the same trash there after multiple days visiting. Costa Mesa health department should be called.
