Update 5/3/24This review could have been posted a Month ago . I just wanna give credit where credits is due. This gym has updated its stair master machines. Has been keeping it much cleaner. New equipment like slam balls and resistance bands have hit the floor. Thank you .This review could have been posted a month ago Update: the fake nails are still on the same treadmill as seven days ago. See photos. It will never change. I will stay pay. Close to my house and they have a sauna. Bay club compilation 1… stay tuned for more. It’s a gym people secrete juices all over and it never gets cleaned. So foul.Update: found socks in the sauna from yesterday. Update 2.13.24 : have forgotten to turn sauna on everyday for a week. See new pictures.

Had to say goodbye to Bay Club after 7 years, and honestly, enough was enough. The customer service? Pretty much a nightmare. Imagine walking in and getting greeted by nothing but attitude at the reception - yeah, not the welcome you'd hope for. And let's talk about the place itself; it's just not up to snuff. We're talking about a gym where clean seems to be a foreign concept, and there's always a shortage of towels in the women's locker room, Then there's the equipment situation - treadmills that are more often out of order than working, and don't even get me started on the basics they're missing, like straps that I asked for for years. All this wouldn't sting as much if the membership fees weren't sky-high. But they are, and it just doesn't add up to good value or service. So, I'm out. Can't say I'd recommend it to anyone else, either.

I recently came in to the club looking to get some information. I was greeted by Todd the manager and he was very polite and informative. I'm a big pickleball player and I also enjoy group exercise. I feel this club will be a great fit myself and my family. 5 stars to Todd!!

Dirty, full of mil-due, run down. Consistently out of towels, locker rooms trash bins overfilled and towel bins overfilled. Lockers broken, missing or have dead batteries. Soap dispensers broken, mold on water dispenser and in the showers around handles. Water fountain in gym and locker rooms no longer function. There is no water. The sauna and steam are not clean. Not to mention to carpets that stink like mil-due. Place is overcrowded with teens as they pay 1/4th the price. Management doesn’t care and emails do nothing. Been promised renovations for years

Very appreciate for the membership staff, especially Mayme, who walked me through membership options and then helped us decide what works best for our family and schedule. Personable, professional, (and a great sense of humor) Thanks again, Mayme and team! Much appreciated!

I've been a member here for over ten years but I am currently planning my exit. A good rule of thumb at this club is that things only get worse, not better. Tennis courts get removed, premium equipment like the Power Plate and the Open Stride ellipticals quietly get removed and never return, staffing gets thinner and thinner. The club doesn't respond to feedback -- there hasn't been a jumprope in this club big enough for anyone over 5'10" in two years. They pack so many people into classes that you can barely breathe. Club is owned by a private equity investor who is underwater so I guess that explains it. But it has been sad to see its demise over the last several years.

Generally a great gym. Solid amenities and the staff is very friendly. Lots of class options, areas to stretch, basketball, squash, lap pool and more. I take off 1 star for: lots of the locks on the lockers just don’t work, towels are not absorbent, and the teenagers can be a little annoying. Was a member here back in high school so I have been on both sides of this equation. I understand marin is full of kids who are pretty privileged and I don’t mind them being there, but I don’t appreciate them congregating on the weight floor to basically just gossip and take weights that I could be using that just sit on the ground as they chat away about none sense.

Good equipment in a decent state of repair, not very clean but with a large membership they keep it reasonable. Where they fall down completely is in customer service, billing and any human contact. If you need an ACTUAL PERSON to respond to you, good luck. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are ignored. If you get someone, it's a kid at the front desk that answers the line like he was just awakened from a party the night before. Seriously unprofessional and frustrating, so basically if everything is done at the app, you're ok, but if you should have any need of someone to answer a billing question, membership question or anything else, you're on your own.

The staff there horrible! If there’s negative star I would put. Treat people the way you want to treated. I wouldn’t pay the money to be treated that way. Such garbage!!

I miss the way the Bay Club Marin use to be.In the last few months, they have substantially increased out monthly fees and have left us with:1. The elevator has not worked in weeks (which has placed a significant strain on clients how have mobility issues and cannot navigate the stairs)2. Half of the lockers do not work and need to have their batteries replaced3. The AC has not worked in weeks, and there are floor fans running4. The state of the cardio machines are absolutely filthy5. The towels have stains all over them; stains of all colorsThe only positive thing I could say is the amazing customer services from the FRONT desk staff (only).

I have been a member for over 12years, it's gone through some changes, but has come back really strong after Covid. Welcoming environment, good equipment and classes and well managed. Best club in Marin!

There’s gross, stained, wall to wall carpet in the stretching, cardio, and locker room areas. Should be something hygienic like vinyl.

This place is filthy. Do they even have cleaners? One star for great personal training staff. Can’t believe people pay the exorbitant dues. Every Anytime Fitness I’ve been to is in better condition.

Yonit is a great trainer, the main attraction at BC, (and funny). She taught at TJ's in Corte Madera; $35/class ($420/mo) no extras or towels, just weights & a drinking fountain. BC is $265/month, pool, tennis, spa, etc. Club Evexia is $299/mo, beautiful, brand-new, A+ facilities, equipment, staff, group fitness with water view. Owners are local and super cool; they care about the business.
