Unlike the west-side of Los Angeles, Orange County unfortunately does not have a plethora of compounding pharmacies to choose from, so it's nice to have "King's Pharmacy & Compounding Center" in Irvine. If you need a specialty hard-to-find medication, or an alternative dosage that's not readily available at most pharmacies, or an allergen-free medication, King's can customize medications to suit your individual needs. They can even change formulas from a pill to a liquid, & add your favourite flavour to the medication to make it easier to take! Bonus!!! Although the new location on Red Hill is smaller & a more difficult to find (enter through the back) compared to the (now closed) Newport Beach & Sand Canyon locations, the staff at the new location are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, & will go the extra mile to coordinate with your medical providers to make some difficult situations a bit smoother. They even have a small section of unique gifts available. Tip: When deciding whether or not to seek out a compounding pharmacy, keep in mind that some insurance carriers may not cover the expense of some compounded medications. However, you may find that it is still worth paying out-of-pocket for customized medications to suit your individual needs from these highly-trained pharmacists. If you have unique medical needs that the "big box" pharmacies (&/or commercially manufactured medications) cannot address, try "King's Pharmacy & Compounding Center."”

“I don't believe I've ever posted a yelp review before, but Mike, the owner and main pharmacist at Westcliff Compounding Pharmacy, has gone above and beyond for me so many times now that I feel almost obligated to leave this review. I have many complex health issues and diagnoses, including a diagnosis called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) which makes me intolerant to many of the excipients (or fillers) found in nearly all commercially available medications (i.e., regularly available tablets, capsules, liquids, nasal sprays, etc.). As a result, I have to have all of my medications compounded (specially made) with a specific capsule and only one specific excipient or compounded into a nasal spray without preservatives (depending on the medication in question). Mike has tracked down many active ingredients for me to trial in connection with my MCAS that other compounding pharmacies have refused to even attempt to locate, has prepared specialty compounds I've used in the hospital and during recovery for each of the six neurosurgeries I've had over the past year (some on short notice) and has never failed to deliver whatever I've needed on time. He is also far easier to reach by phone and far more helpful than any pharmacist I have ever worked with, ships medications overnight and is licensed in CA and NY (I live in Northern CA but my neurosurgeries have been in NY). If you have any sort of specialty pharmaceutical needs and are looking for a compounding pharmacy or happen to live in the Newport Beach, CA area and are looking for a new pharmacy in general, please consider Mike and Westcliff Compounding Pharmacy. You will not be disappointed.”

“Slowly we became familiar with this shopping center in Newport Coast. Residents in the area said, if you are here, you must visit Pavillions. Do check out the climate controlled wine section (fully stocked Duckhorn) gourmet bakery and the produce. One cannot help but notice the floral creations by Deb & Lilly. Just had to peek in gently to observe the fragrant living floral art. So many bouquets were purchased here and clandestinely placed in the perfect location inside. Customer service is on par with the fabulous Pelican Hill Resort. This store is spotless and "pizza" was hand made in front of us as we waited. They have a special pizza oven in the deli. If you are hungry, the deli provides fresh in-house made offerings. Picnicking on hill? if yes this is the place to get supplies. Vons also delivers. Order on-line. If you choose to eat on the patio---it is located on the north west side of the store.The floral department here allows you to customize any bouquet or special order and arrangement. The pictures will tell a story of its own. You can use e-check out or visit the check out. This property is owned by The Irvine Company. “We have been filling our prescriptions here for years. The prescription is always available and accurate, the copay is always accurate if any, 99.9% is zero. Staffs are friendly and good. They take their time in going through medication with caretaker. It is a very busy pharmacy and long business history in the community. I call early in the morning at 9 am, they never failed me.
