In my Bay Area experience, this store stands out as the best. The amiable aunt and the helpful uncle managing the meat section create a homely atmosphere. The quality of meat is top-notch, and prices are reasonable compared to other stores. No issues at all!

If I could give zero star to this store I would. We came here to buy lamb shanks and there was no price tag on the superior lamb brand. The owner charged us $14.99/lb and we ended up paying more than $35 for 2 lamb shanks. Even when paying we thought this was outrageous but decided not to say anything and left. The other day I saw the same brand in Nob hill for $6.99/Ib. So they charged us more than twice per lb for the same exact product. I would never go back to this place and if you like to pay double or triple feel free to check them out.

The guy in the shop has some attitude issues.Meat is good so I am gonna ignore him but if he reads this comment. Dude! be a little less rude to customers. I am not the only one posting about your attitude.

I found this butcher online while working in Concord today. My thanksgiving family tradition is cooking turkey wings. When I asked the woman if her business sold turkey wings her reply “you’ve called here asking that many times before.” This was actually my first time calling.Turkey wings are an African American staple. To clump all of the request for turkey wings into one person is absolutely rude and culturally insensitive. We were only trying to patronize your business because of all of your 4/5 star reviews….next!

I used to recommend this Indian / Pakistani grocery store to everyone especially for their fresh meats. They cut the meat for you. But lately every time I go their customer service is not good. It's run by husband /wife, they're not friendly , don't even greet you. I asked for goat meat for curry, last three times I bought from them, meat quality is no good. Last time meat was so rubbery, yesterday and other time we bought he sold me mostly ribs and fat , no actual meat. Family was complaining. He had a tray that he had already cut , I specifically asked him , please give from the front corner , he said "no I can't pick and choose", and ofcourse I came home with mostly fat, ribs , barely any meat , 4 lbs for $65, $14 per lb you're paying and that's what I got. Embarrassing to serve your guests. Never going there again or recommending to anyone anymore. Used to be my favorite place to go to.

Best quality meat in the whole Bay Area. They have the best tender goat meat. We have lived in many parts of the bay before moving here to Concord. We have been coming here for meat for the last 5 years and never been disappointed.The people working in the store very nice and friendly. Always warm to customers.

This is an absolute gem in the East Bay Area!! Finding a quality butcher can be tough these days especially with grass fed meats and on top of everything, Halal meat. It is a small family owned shop and I've tried everything from goat to lamb to ribeye veal and ground beef... All of which have been extremely high-quality and delicious. I will be a loyal customer and hope this place continues to see support from the community. The prices are extremely reasonable.

I see the previous review by especially the South Indians looking for cheap stuff and rating businesses down without looking at how difficult it is for small businesses these days. Meat is not cheap now especially free range, grass fed , after the pandemic and prices have rocketed so much that meat prices vary from one day to another .The prices at this shop reflect the market prices of decent meat suppliers . If you want cheap chicken not free range there is a plenty elsewhere but that is no reason to give this store owners a low rating . Why would you give a business a bad review because that’s their price ? You have a choice to go elsewhere you cheap skates.

Terrible quality of goat meat. Went in to get 5 lbs of goat meat, and he just piled up these pre cut pieces into a bag. I asked if there was any leg pieces, he said they were mixed in. All I got was $70 worth of stale, rib pieces full of tendon and fat, hardly any meat. There was NO leg pieces. Worst experience ever, and will stick to Sunnyvale Market from here on out.
