i over heard the employees the manager "male with glasses" saying they had to lock the fire emergency exit door to stop people from stealing i get it stops people from stealing but what if a fire breaks out? then you're responsible for there lives. so lets put everyone else at risk so the manager can get his bonus? smh this is not right and he should be removed from the store.

So I just read where DG is settling with the state of Ohio for like $1million. The consumer is the one getting jacked and I think it's crazy that these corps can steal billions and just get away with it. The consumer is paying the price for the great and deception. I used to shop there all the time for nick knacks but had cut that down to a quarterly trip and now I may have been in there twice in about 18 months. If they'd pay a decent wage and hire competent people who actually cared about their jobs they might be able to put the correct prices and products on the shelves instead of misleading the general public. They can lie all they like about how much they care about accuracy and quality but the proof is in the pudding. DO BETTER.

It has been 9 days now and my local store in Wisconsin (54619) has only been accepting cash! Every time i have been there in the last 9 days i am told" The tech to fix it is on his way" The manager looked right into my eyes yesterday and lied to me about how there was a huge outage everywhere, blah blah. I did my homework, that was a lie. I understand there can be issues with technology, but, lying telling your customers a tech is coming every day...that is wrong!!

This place is absolutely terrible!! Their employees who stock shelves are rude af, they ran out of bag and you can't take their shopping cards to your car.... so how am I supposed to get all my items to my car if you don't have bags and I can't take the cart to my car!?!?! This place is a waste of time and money. Whoever is the manager obviously doesn't care about customer service. Don't go here!!!!!

Unfortunately, this store has been taken over by tweekers and homeless people. Only 2 shopping carts. The rest have been stolen. I feel bad for the employees. I have a feeling it all went down hill when the methadone clinic went in next door to it. I used to love this store, but won't be going back. Sad.

"Dollar General" What a joy it was when "Dollar General started moving their stores out " West". The nostalgia, the memories and joy these stores bring me is really like a piece of my childhood. What is that you ask? Well having been born in "Arkansas" and having loved back and fourth between there and "Texas" till my family decided to come to "California". These were the value discount stores I remember. "What's Special about Dollar General?" Everything is special about "Dollar General" or "DG" as I affectionately know it and kinda the slang word my family in the South and Midwest use to use. Just like those other establishments you know, the one that says they're only "99¢" and the other one with the "Tree" or "Family" depending on where you live. Not everything is just a dollar anymore....let's get that out of the way first. But what you do get at "DG" is consistent and the offerings actually IMO is better than what the competition has to offer. I like the "General" in the naming because they're basically telling you that everything isn't just a buck, but generally speaking a great deal of things are. "What you should expect...." Great deals and an expanded amount of offerings that you won't see at the competitor stores. At "Dollar General" the stores often times are in areas where the markets are very convenient for shoppers. Here you really could go grocery shopping, buy your toiletries, get your general household items, even self care products, and for you people that like your "Spirits and Beer" they got you covered. A true one stop shop really, especially if you don't feel like going to a big box retailer and dealing with long lines and annoying people, especially during this day in age. "Conclusion" Dollar General Concord: Sits right off the freeway on Solano Ave in Concord. Service: The service here needs improvement, often times the staff seem annoyed people are in the store, like.... we're the ones supporting the store so that it stays open. Price Range: The prices range from one dollar and up like most of the stores in the "Value Bracket" now. But still the prices are pretty competitive especially when you compare it to 'Wally World" or "The Red Bullseye" if you get my drift.

Second time I have extra charged to my purchases that if I didn't checked I never would have found it. Thieves, stealing with ghost purchases and... after I told the manager the first it was he who ghost charged me. Last time, can't be trusted.

I came in looking for snacks, floss and small gifts for my niece and nephew. I was surprised to see so much stuff in dollar general, being that it was my first time here after having a massage nearby at Green Leaf Spa. There were so many kid toys such as nerf guns, Barbie's, puzzles, you name it! The store is like a Walgreens but a little bit on the cheaper side, but definitely not the 99 cent store or the dollar store. Good for on the run errands if you're in the area, it is off from the freeway and it is in a sketchy area.

I went in today after calling with a few questions, I didn't catch the gals name, but she was very helpful and kind.They had what I was looking for so I went. There was two women behind the registers, both extremely friendly, made my 1st experience there a awesome one.

I am from South Africa moved to pleasant hill and start Door Dash and it was new for me I had a order and when I arrive at the Dollar General was so confused to look for the stuff to shop and one young man he work for this store he had Name on his shirt Adrian any way he approached me and he help me in 7 minutes with everything and he was help other people old or disables too very Good young Man I wish we find such a young. Sales staff in every place I am very impressed he will go long way in his life very helpful and Good Young man God bless him and Dollar General is lucky to have Good staff like him . nice place I go and buy also and recommend this store to everyone.
