“This review is based on my experience with Russell Chester.My husband and I have been members of SAFE for 13 years and have never had a single issue banking with them until last week. We both made numerous attempts to have our issue resolved, and we were told by several people that there was nothing they could do to help us.I made one final attempt to have our problem resolved…… and I’m truly thankful I did. Russell was not only kind, but he went above and beyond to come up with a solution to our problem.SAFE would do well to hire more people like Russell…… people who actually care about their customers and realize that those customers have entrusted their hard earned money into the hands of this Credit Union.In times like these, every dollar matters to people trying to support their families, pay bills and make ends meet. “I will say that many credit unions have more of a family-oriented atmosphere than the big name financial institutions such as Bank of America, Chase, and Wells Fargo. And "SAFE Credit Union" is no exception. Based in Folsom (where their headquarters are) and serving the greater Sacramento area as well as Yuba, Sutter, El Dorado counties and parts of the Bay Area, this has been my go-to place dating back to the late-2000's. The location I am focusing on is directly on Madison Ave. and adjacent to San Juan Ave. in Citrus Heights. This location does have a drive-thru ATM machine as well as a single walk-up ATM machine outside. They do provide ample parking from two separate entrances. Once inside, the interior of this credit union is quite open and spacious. There are several areas where you can sit and wait as well as a respectable amount of cubicles where many of the bankers provide questions on loans (personal, student, home equity, vehicle) as well as mortgages, money market, and IRA's. The area where the tellers work is also spacious while the line moves rather quickly. Some of the major advantages that this credit union offers is free checking, no ATM fees at non-SAFE credit unions, low interest credit cards, and overdraft protection. I've taken out several loans where the monthly payments have not been too expensive which is a huge plus. Their mobile app is also very handy where you can transfer money with ease while navigating through all your accounts. All in all, "SAFE Credit Union" is an above average place to serve all your banking needs. My rating, four stars.”

“I have been a member of this bank over fifty years. I have never had a problem of any kind and have been treated with respect and patience on every occasion. I know there are new employees and we need to be patient and allow them to follow rules of the bank. There are different rues for large checks than we are use to and banks have rules to follow as well. There is not a branch near me since I have moved, however, I would never change banks and seldom use an ATM where I have to pay to get my own money. I have always been a satisfied customer and expect I always will be.”

Lucky for me Emily gave me the paperwork I needed. I told her about my driving to different branches and she was very sympathetic. Great service hours, friendly tellers, clean bank space. There wasn't a line when I got there! Thank you Emily for your polite assistance otherwise I would have to go to Kinko's and try to get printing help there. This branch is pretty far from me, but I will continue to come here.”

“Great Bank. They treat you better not like the other big banks. They are espcially helpful in all your specific banking needs and the really great thing is no lines! I hate waiting and they provide service with efficient results while not compromising the bottom line. The personal bankers there are really helpful and friendly. Only drawback is its right by the busstop so occasinally I get asked for money”

“I always read several reviews before I write my own. There were some good ones, but far too many bad reviews. Are "you people" just negative all the time? Do you ever find the "good" in situations that may not have ended as you had hoped? Take this as a lesson. The customer service is usually only as good as you allow it to be. People are doing their jobs as best as they can. They aren't making $90k for listening to your whining. Most mistakes are probably made by you in the first place, so stop complaining. Today my wife and I were at teller window #1. I usually don't come inside - prefer online for everything. But we needed a copy of a rent check due to a dishonest slumlord (Paramount Realty, Gurinder Bains) who said we paid rent a few days late. Wrong! Check deposit even shows the creep had the check in his greedy little hands on the 5th (so not late). Anyway, JAN was terrific. JAN was very professional, yet friendly. JAN seemed to take a personal interest as to what kind of day we were having. JAN has worked there for about a year and a half (I asked), and I doubt she is making $90k. But guess what - you whiners and complainers ... JAN didn't have to be so nice to my wife and myself. It's something called reciprocity. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at CHASE today ... because JAN gave my wife and I great customer service. So, the next time you want to give a one-star review, realize this: if someone was reviewing YOU, you may not even rate one star. Do you really think you're that great at what you do? Be kinder, be nicer, and be prepared for a better day. Thanks for listening.”

“I had two sticky-wicket issues with a credit card attached to my Chase bank account. Since it was on my route, I chose to stop in and see if I could get some help. I received excellent service and they initiated corrective action. Well, the credit card company fixed the issue. A couple of months later, the problem reoccurred so I stopped by again for some help. Once again, the customer service was excellent. They were courteous. friendly, figured out the issue and I was very pleased with the service.I also like that there is an enclosed ATM on the shopping mall side of the building and a drive thru ATM (at least during business hours - not sure about bank- closed hours) on the Sunrise side of the building.I would highly recommend this bank.”

“After having my job interview today and had another job, I came in to golden one because my account had some issues with it that needed to be fixed and the gentleman who assisted me let me know that it might be a little bit of a wait because people were busy and so he put me on the list and I was healthy for the time that was estimated which was very awesome. The lady who assisted me today today the banker, Britney was very friendly listen to all my concerns and gave her recommendations and ultimately, we decided that it was best to close my old account since I was having issues with it and start a brand new one fresh everything fresh new account number and everything The whole process took about almost an hour, but she listen to all my concerns give me her recommendations was very nice we even talked about you no plans for the summer and she was also very knowledgeable with what I would need for my financial needs. Made me feel like he's after what had happened last week basically a bill that I normally have coming out of my account was trying to come out for $229 which I've never had that much come out of my account and put my account in the negative didn't get in getting a little bit of anxiety because I was like oh my gosh I just didn't have that money in there to cover that so it got resolved but after that, I was just like OK time to get a fresh account let's make it new, so where there won't be any more issues with this end. I left her today feeling at ease that my concerns were addressed and resolved. Britney was very awesome and made me feel better about the whole situation since I was not happy with golden one for a little bit now I feel better about everything everything I address my concerns was all resolved today. I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking for a new bank. They are awesome friendly and will make you feel better about whatever concerns you might have Britney you were awesome. I appreciate everything you did and taking the time and listening to me. You made me feel a lot better by everything so thank you so Much. “I have been banking with US Bank for 15 years. I primarily used to bank the Dewey branch… which is great! However, a few years ago my favorite teller Juan, transferred to the location on Sunrise and Greenback. So I followed. He, is always extremely professional, knowledgeable, kind and courteous. And is a BIG reason why I’ve banked with US Bank as long as I have. Thank you for everything. ??”
