They tried to sell us a children's used sweater for $65 because it had no price on the tag because someone forgot to write it and the lady claims it's a rare sweater...they are greedy. She was like "I am going to put this in the back". It is a my little pony sweater!
My husband is active duty in the military and they rarely thank him for his service. Which is ironic for a thrift store trying to help out veterans. Their prices are expensive for a lot of things and most people shopping here can't afford their high prices, so are the workers really doing a good job?
The salvation army pricing is way better and they actually help out veterans as well. This place smells gross most of the time and they want too much for used items.
DAV actually picks up donations from the Naval base thrift stores and resells them at their locations!

Staff is always polite and helpful! I drop off my used electronic equipment and someone is there to assist to offload my items.

Dear Manager!
I shped at your place few times and I thought that the price for used blankets are $12.99 is too high, especially for the thrift store! It should be $6.99 the half of the price..
And there is no fitting room to try clothes. :(
They should use color coding Sale Stickers for the day and have 50% off on different colors, so its ts helps to get rid of old merchandise and mae fast sales for the stores..instread of sitting and collecting dust on the shelves!

I recently went to the store and now it is more organized, there is a great variety of items at a very good price. Mr. Joaquín is very kind and attentive, and helped me find what I needed. I highly recommend this store. Visit it!

I have spent hundreds at DAV and donated to them often. Today I encountered the rudest cashier. She could barely communicate in English, she had a horrible attitude and she had no respect for our military. We left without buying anything. I will not shop at this store or donate to them for quite a while.

Pricing is getting ridiculous! This used to be one of my favorite stores but now all I find is overpriced forever 21, h&m etc I saw a faded, stained very old free people cardigan for $49?

This is one of those chaotic but huge inventory thrift stores where you’re going to have to work to find things. Lots of furniture, appliances, and clothes, less glassware. Did see some unique pieces and fixer-uppers. -1 star because it’s a little dusty and musty inside.

Attention how is in charge of jewelry section A little little " gold " ring $450 dollars really?? A alpaca ring $60 dollars?? And the clothes don't say, everything out proportion this is madness I just now the name of the lady in charge of jewelry section Veronica Every body have to do something about DO NOT BUY MORE IN ANY THRIFT STORE ASAP I going to go to the store to take a picture of the things and post it here No recommendation Is a entire mess and a lot of very bad stuff many times dirty and disgusting clothes and all that over priced, if they really want to sell more stuff they should just down the prices Some time I heard that the price has to be no more the 7 % to 10% percent of the price as new

I don't know if I still go back to this place. I love this place but after they sold the item that I paid right away and shop more with no negligence. I coordinated the item to be placed for pick up area and expressed my intention to stay and shop more to Joaquin (employee) at the end it was my fault bec I didn't pick up right away and shopped in 2 hours. The Manager told me your items should have sold paper sticker on the item but how would I know that. I paid, I informed the employee. I showed the items, I gave instructions and shopped. But that made me upset more when Joaquin was say "sorry" and smiling. And the Manager just only looked at him without words. I called the main office to express my disappointment and was so professional telling me that she will make it sure this will not happen again. I maybe not to go there to Chula Vista branch anymore but I will be in another branch. Btw this was my favorite hang out place while waiting for my kids pick up at school. Wife of Veteran's for 27 years.
