My friend "Qui" from TNH auto repair in National City recommend this place. Took my 2001 Ford Expedition for transmission issues. "Jesus" the owner was easy to talk to & professional. He took care of me like a VIP. The price for repairs was better than other locations & he gave me a 1 year warranty. I am totally satisfied with "Economy Transmissions". If you need transmission service, let me recommend Economy Transmission. They did my transmission about 6 months ago and it is better than new. I knew I was in the right spot when I saw mechanics from other shops bringing in transmissions to fix. Good price and good work. They are located at 1502 Broadway in Chula Vista. Had my Car Towed to Economy Transmission at 1502 Broadway Ave.Chula. Vista Ca ...On Thursday 6/22/23 that was $50.00 ...I had waited a Week before I could bring my Car cuz they were Busy at that time I said NP I waited and then the Following Thursday had it Towed over there thinking He was ready for My Car since I waited a week before I could bring the Car !! Now mind You I took it over there Not Knowing them or there reputation but for the Yelp Reviews sounded like a Honest and Good Place to take it to !! So My Car got Dropped off at 8am in the morning that Thursday ... Thinking that day they would get Started on it !! Well I gave Jesus the Keys to myCar the Owner ...I said can I get a invoice saying that I left the Car here ..Jesus said nah don't worry I ll give you one after the Job is Done, that didn't sound right but I thought of the reviews that this place was Honest so I said ok NP !! Well I drove by later that day to see if my Car was on the Hoist and them working on it ...No , Car was parked Outside of his Business !! I said ok NP maybe they ll get Started Tomorrow Morning since Jesus told me to bring the Car on that Thursday after waiting a week prior to dropping it off on Thursday thinking he was ready for me !! Next day I pass by again cuz I live close by and no my Car still parked outside at 11am in the morning but I saw another Car on the Hoist ?? I thought what happened to my Car ?? I was there before this Guy and that Car on the Hoist wasn't there when I dropped off my Car at 8am in the morning !! Well it when on like that on Saturday too ,Cars inside on the Hoist but MINE !! So Monday the 26th of June I paid a Visit and another on the Hoist but Not Mine !! So that day on Monday I just pulled my Car from the Business!! Was Happy at All with there Honesty or Service !! So Careful with there Reviews !! Bad Experience I had !! And I'm Keeping it Real Talk !!

It's the 4th day and still haven't heard from the owner so I'll just leave a review. Wei from TNH recommended I call his friend when he told me the car's problem is transmission, I did call the number I was given last Tuesday and spoke to Jesus. He sounds like a nice guy. He said he will go to TNH and check the car the following day which is Wednesday, and would give me a call (he confirmed my phone number). I didn't receive a call Wednesday. I understand they are busy so I waited. Thursday, still haven't heard from him and I've been trying to call, so I called Wei from TNH and asked for an update that afternoon. I was told my car was no longer on his shop, Jesus got the car and I should call him. I have been trying to call and get a hold of Jesus for an update and it's already Saturday, A guy answered the phone and said Jesus isn't there and I should call again after an hour. This was 11:44 am today, Saturday. Same thing I was told when I called yesterday at 10 am, that Jesus isn't there and call again in an hour. I can't help it but now worry on what's happening to the car there. I wish they could give me a call on what's going on, just like the other transmission shop I went to been years ago. I don't even know if it has been checked, how many days more I have to wait and we have oncoming appointments. I would appreciate the honestly if they can't fixed it so I can go somewhere else, instead of me not knowing what's going on.

Great service! Staff was friendly and took my car in right away even though the person I had an appointment with canceled last minute (he had an emergency and wasn't able to make it to my appointment). The service was quick and they gave me a call as soon as my car was ready. My total cost also ended up being less than the initial estimate. Definitely recommend!

Jesus is down to earth, polite, very helpful. Was referred to him by Wei of TNH. Jesus drove the car and I identified the noise in questionHe said not a transmission issue and did not charge me and referred me to a muffler shop next door. Thank you Jesus!

Job was completed 8 months ago from the date of this review. A code indicating a transmission issue showed up on my 2006 Honda Pilot. I shopped around a couple places and this shop gave me the best price for a rebuilt transmission around the Chula Vista area. My mechanic that does not do transmission work highly recommended this shop to me.This shop specializes ONLY in transmission work, surgical like precision an concentration to detail is very important with this type of work and these guys delivered.A small shop but don't let the size of the shop fool you. Jesus the owner along with his son did the job and did it well!!!!! Jesus was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Job completed after a few days. This business did not pressure nor intimidate. Just a friendly, kind business operator/owner who know their stuff. Economy transmission will not let you down. Car runs like new. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Service: Transmission
