I recently had an appointment with Bruce at CPA Tax Services, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a professional service. From the moment I walked in, Bruce didn't bother to properly introduce himself. Instead, he just grabbed the papers I had in hand and immediately started making assumptions about my business and what I do. He made claims like, "You don't even know what you filed as," to which I responded that I was there to get educated. Despite this, he asked zero questions to understand what type of business I have and even said it doesn't matter. He then proceeded to ask me if I'm selling my business stocks, all while raising his voice at me. Throughout the appointment, Bruce kept staring at my tattoos, clearly judging me. After looking at my taxes, he made a snide comment that I've been operating at a loss and would most likely be considered a hobby. The judgment I felt from this white old man was palpable and incredibly uncomfortable. If you're not white and elderly, I strongly recommend avoiding this guy. The level of unprofessionalism and judgment I experienced was insane. To make matters worse, he now has my personal information. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your tax needs.

Robert the Bruce did a stellar job defending me against the IRS. The IRS was demanding that I owe about $15,000 in taxes. Anyone I spoke to for help was actually leading me down the wrong path that would ensure I would still owe. Mr. Bruce was the only person out of all the tax attorneys and tax accountants and IRS agents who gave me effective education on how to defend myself against the IRS. He knew everything right off the bat and didn't have to look anything up. It was obvious from my consultation that he was the only specialist who wasn't clueless. I was very anxious and emotional during the consult, and he was very calm and empathetic and stayed on the line with me the whole time to answer every single question thoroughly. It took him only a few minutes to file my taxes, and he brought the $15,000 down to -$16,000, meaning the IRS ended up owing me money. Thanks to Mr. Bruce, I saved (and made) money. Had I gone with all the other tax agents, I would have owed money. Robert Bruce is a life saver and a great guy.

I spoke with the receptionist and made a "phone appointment" to discuss my tax questions with Mr. Bruce. I made it know that I was willing to pay for the consultation. On the date and time of the appointment, I was never contacted. Mr. Bruce could be a great CPA....I wouldn't know because I couldn't speak with him.
