Westy World mechanic not only provides top-notch service but also offers the best prices in town. After obtaining multiple quotes, their affordability stood out without compromising on quality. I'm impressed with their fair pricing and exceptional service.

I can honestly say Westy World is one of the best Vanagon shops around. They do everything. They even engineered things that don’t exist in any other auto shop. They fixed my Westy AC which notoriously difficult to repair. It was a pleasure working Brian and his team.

Brian and Mike built our 1982 VW Vanagon Camper and did an incredible job. We've been very happy with our van and anytime we've had an issue he's been extremely accommodating and at times has even driven to meet us to pickup the van for our convenience. Brian and Mike are both extremely knowledgable when it comes to vanagon work and do great work. If you're looking to restore a vanagon or need work done on your existing van Westy World is the place to go!

I had a very good experience here, they fixed a wheel bearing, hub, and oil problem for a fair price. They also gave me the rest of the oil to use if I start to get low. I would recommend and go back again for any future issues.

An unparalleled experience. Unicorn service. Can I give 6-stars? Honestly, read this...Day 1, Saturday, of a four week road trip, we drove from SoCal to Pleasanton, CA and heard a clicking sound coming from the rear end once we were off the freeway and could hear again. Since we were picking up our caravan partner and heading north, we needed to find a mechanic in NorCal, along our route and nearby. We used the VanAlert app (must have!) and found Westy World in Chico. I called the number (Saturday, remember?) to leave a hopeful message that they may be able to squeeze us in on Monday for a look-see. I couldn't leave a message because Brian answered! As we discussed the issue, Brian offered to stop-by Pleasanton on SUNDAY, after a nearby Van drop-off. We met at a roadside parking lot and Brian crawled under the van to find and definitively diagnose a broken axel. If this was the end of the story, I am sure you would agree that this is a once in a lifetime automotive and humanitarian experience. It has had such a profound impact on us that we use it as the measure of the Golden Rule - we try to treat others the way Brian treated us.But the story goes on. From the parking lot Brian rallied his team back in Chico to set up an appointment on Monday to repair our axel. We are pretty sure that Westy World was not keeping a time slot open for that Monday to address our emergency. So all the other projects must have been put on hold to make our emergency their emergency. As we agreed in the parking lot on Sunday, we covered the time and expense for Kyle to DRIVE FROM CHICO TO REDDING AND BACK on Monday morning to pick up the replacement axel. When we rolled into Chico Kyle jacked up our '87 GL and completed the repair before we could finish out lunch. Everyone was mellow, untroubled, kind and very knowledgeable. What a great mindset to calm us in our moment of flexing. After our trip we checked in with our local mechanic, who verified two things: the parts used (from Burley Motosports) were the best available, and Westy World charged us as though this was a regularly scheduled appointment - no emergency premium! It is an honor to have had this experience and to have Kyle and Brian in our world. Thank you both and everyone else at Westy World that was affected by our incursion.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Custom car seat covers for my RV. Great job by Lucas overall, but I wasn't satisfied with the lower back (not so pretty). They gave me 20% discount for that. I prefer to re-do the work and pay the full price, but I need to travel this weekend. Brian, the owner is very nice guy too. I will definitely go back to this shop!

Brian's work is meticulous and top notch. His eagerness to help and communicate is equally incredible! Here's the proof:I took my van that Brian had done major work to into get a routine inspection from a prominent Bay Area Vanagon shop before a long road trip. The mechanics who performed the inspection had glowing reviews of the work and were downright EXCITED by it!! They mentioned how high quality, meticulous, and well considered job he'd done was.I'd 100% recommend Westy World to anyone with a Vanagon!

We learned about Brian and Westy World at a Vanagon meetup, and were impressed by the "samples" he'd brought with him. Our '85 Westy was long overdue for body work and new paint. We had the shop do a big point by point inspection, and discovered some other items that could use attention. She now looks like a new vehicle. The paint is beautiful. We had them install an in dash AC and new radio, new rear brakes, springs, radiator and a list of other items. We were impressed with the communication and spread sheet, so we knew just what was being done. Brian made good suggestions, and the attention to detail was impressive.Prior to finding Brian, we were intimidated by all the conflicting prices and stories of disappointed customers who had gone to different shops. We were thrilled with the finished product.
