Frustrating Experience with Citibank Branch Customer ServiceI recently attempted to contact the Citibank branch here in Chatsworth, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The primary issue arose from the branch's unresponsiveness over the phone, leading to a frustrating and time-consuming process.Upon calling the branch, I encountered a series of challenges that made my attempt to open an account and schedule an appointment an arduous task. The automated system initially directed me through the main teleservice, only to transfer me to a lengthy menu where opening an account wasn't even among the immediate options. This resulted in a delay of approximately 1.5 minutes before I could access the secondary menu necessary for my inquiry. The next hurdle came in the form of an extensive introductory sequence, which seemed disproportionate to the simple task of scheduling an appointment. The lack of a streamlined process became apparent as my primary objective got buried beneath unnecessary information and prompts. As a customer seeking to open an account and clarify details about the account type I needed, the convoluted system proved to be both time-consuming and frustrating.Despite my patience, the effort invested in trying to navigate through the system and seek assistance left me dissatisfied. After nearly 10 minutes of grappling with the convoluted phone menu and enduring an unnecessarily prolonged introduction, I reluctantly abandoned my attempt to contact the branch and decided to explore other banking options. My interaction with the Citibank branch's customer service was marked by delays, confusion, and ultimately, an inability to accomplish my intended task. As a result, I am compelled to seek out alternative banking solutions that prioritize customer accessibility and streamline essential processes.

My husband and I use to bank here. My husband passed and they closed both our personal and business account.. I was issued a check from both but they would not let me cash the business account check because I wasn't on the account. They reissued a new check but still under the business which I explained no longer existed smh.... I've literally had to jump through hoops to get what's rightfully mine

My mom used to use this bank branch and had great experiences. The bank I used closed its branch in Chatsworth (where I live), so I decided to switch. What a mistake. First off, the rep who helped me set up my account told me he can receive emails but not reply and that we can only communicate by phone. What??!!! And his cell, which he gave me, still includes a message that he's out of the office for a stretch in May. Not a huge deal, but it takes 2 minutes to update your v-mail message. It's unprofessional to have such an old message that customers hear. There's been a glitch in getting my ATM card initial pin, it's past due the time I was supposed to get my new checks, and I'm still not sure if I can link accounts so I only have one log in. When I try to call the branch to speak to a manager, every time I get a recording that all reps are busy assisting other customers. I am SO sorry I made this bank change.

Convenient location for me so I love that. The drive through is a wee bit tight but that's to be expected in these tight neighbourhoods. Staff is really nice. Garden around the building is pretty and well kept. There's only a handful of parking spots so it can get really packed on a busy day. Good people here. Stay safe out there people and be kind to one another!

COVID 19 is a piece of cake compared to dealing with CitiBank. They give cash but will not take cash deposits......cash by the way direct from another bank by the way. Life is frustrating enough without these situations making it so difficult for us to survive. You know and I know you are dealing with cash in many other ways........thanks for nothing.......time to change to a better bank!!!!!!!!!!

I walked into this branch to add my spouse as the beneficiary and was told by the visiting manager I had to call the customer service phone number to get the required form. Really? It's hard to believe you don't have these forms in your branch. Or considering I was the only person allowed in the branch, couldn't you have printed the form? Instead I was told to call the customer service with an advance apology for the wait time I will experience when I do call. Smh. So I called and waited approximately an hour and fifty-five minutes to speak to someone who insisted I needed to answer questions that had nothing to do with what I was calling for. This was after she verified who I was. I really believe she was trying to see if a qualified for a credit card! Smh. I told her I wasn't interested in any offers or credit cards and she insisted if I didn't answer the questions, she wouldn't be able to send me the form. Ridiculous! Why does it matter what my annual income is and line of business I work in when all I need is a form mailed to me to add my spouse as a beneficiary?!!! Can you please explain this Citibank? And please thank the branch manager who could have help me avoid wasting 2 hours and a half of my time.

Do Not bank here. I use to love coming to Citibank but not anymore. The staff down to the manager and especially the personal bankers are extremely rude and disrespectful. I closed my account due to bad customer service and unexplained fees.

We opened a checking account with Citi. We used this account to park a larger sum of money for future investments etc. We were issued bank cards and check books. Last week we wrote a check from Citi to deposit in our business account at another bank to buy another company in advance so the funds would be available. Welp.. Citi bank would not honor the check. Why? Because they couldn't find the signature card on file. This delay had the potential to delay our purchase and create some legal issues with out purchase. We pulled our money out of Citi Bank today. We'll park our money somewhere else.

I dislike this location very much. Tellers are rude. They are always talking among when servecing you they lack customer service. They lack training on simple things like cashing a check that needs verification. I get way better service at the San Fernando Branch. This team needs to have more proper training.

I pay my Citi credit card off at this location and since I don't have any other account with them, when I go to make a cash payment, every time they ask for my name and job title. Can't they just keep that on file or something? And one time the person asked me to write on a piece of paper my social security number. That made me super nervous. I almost just walked out planning to come back later to make a payment through another teller. I don't like that type of information just floating around on pieces of paper I don't have control of. Sure, he ripped it up in front of me, but still. Not fine enough that someone couldn't just tape it back up. Am I being paranoid? Probably. But still. When it comes to info like that, I think it's justified. Beyond that, employees are nice and there are never long lines so you can get in and out of the branch quickly. But don't plan on making a left onto Devonshire when leaving. You're going to find yourself waiting awhile. Just plan on making a right.
