Was told 45 minutes until they could help us. Ended up waiting an hour and a half. Meanwhile when we first arrived there's 2 workers checking people in and 2 actually helping members. Then after about 20 minutes it becomes 3 workers checking people in and only 1 person actually helping people while there's 10 people in the lobby waiting to be helped. Make that make sense. As I see two people who arrived after me start to get helped, I went up to ask what the issue was. Turns out I was never even entered in their system to be helped. Gave the worker my debit card for absolutely no reason because he didn't even check me in. DUMB. The entire hour and a half I waited there's one worker just sitting at their desk not helping not one customer. Won't ever come back to this location. Wish I could leave no stars.

I love this bank because of CARLOS! He goes above and beyond to help. Carlos has been there for all my financial meltdowns; giving me the best advice and peace of mind. Carlos happily answers all my questions in a way I'm able to understand. I teach the kiddos but he teaches me to be a responsible financial adult. Thank you Carlos for making adulting a bit less painful.

This is my closest location but after the second negative experience here, I'd rather drive a little further to the Cypress location. My first experience was their debit card maker being down a few months ago and when I asked them to call Cypress to see if their machine was up they gave me the general SchoolsFirst number. This week, when I went in to get some ones, $80, the girl was about to give me them but then thought about it and asked her supervisor and the supervisor said they're only giving out $20 in ones. The fact that it could have been done but then wasn't was frustrating. $20 is not alot in ones.

I've been a member of this credit union since 1997 and I've never had a complaint, they've always treated me great, I love that got many ATM's available all over town.

The ATM here ate my deposit and didn’t even give me a receipt!!! I’m absolutely tearing my hair out trying to solve this with my own credit union, who has to conduct their own investigation into what occurred here. I even called their customer service line to ask for advice on what to do, and they told me that even if I came into their branch to ask for some type of record that I had used their ATM to deposit cash, they would not be able to help me as they do not handle anything to do with their ATM systems. I deposited hundreds of dollars last week, which I desperately needed in order to pay for my rent (due now!!!)How can this even be possible?!

This credit union offers a lot of services with less or even no fees. I am already a credit union member from work but . Schoolfirst is much better. I applied here immediately with the help of my sister who is a member. And now all my banking services is with them. I will be with them FOREVER.

I’ve been with this credit union since it was OCTFCU. I live in Oregon now and I still bank with SchoolsFirst. I don’t want to leave them because their service and care can’t be matched anywhere, especially the Cerritos branch (which I literally drive down for). Yes, I know Sacramento has branches, but it says something when you are ok with traveling 800+ miles to come down to visit your financial institution for financial services. Trust me, no credit union I’ve seen offer what SchoolsFirst does. I had a used car purchase situation with a shady dealership (wouldn’t release title) and SchoolsFirst reps from their headquarters stepped up to the plate (because they were my loan servicer) and got me my title after months of waiting. In reality, they could have just told me that it was my problem to deal with but they made it their problem too and my rep cared. They were there when I needed them and they worked hard for my family and I throughout all these years. I hope they can continue to do the same for all of their members and thank you SFFCU staff for all that you do!

Please get an account here. If you have a family member who works for the schools- ask them. I've been with them since 2001. They've given me my first loan (I was borderline not going to get it but the bank boss at that time overrode it .) I'm glad he did. I never made 1 last payment because I felt such honor that that boss man believed in me. Fast forward 20 years; still loving the intimate locations, super friendly tellers, free coin exchange, no excessive wait on their hotline, the app is easy to use. They have overdraft protection for your checking in case you don't have enough funds. It's like a credit card for your checking so no fees! The fees here are minimal. I'm never had any. Yadira at this branch is the best. She will be your bestie by the time you leave.. I've heard horror stories from other banks. I've never had any bad experiences .The best people work here too. It's a bank that wants their customers to succeed

The worst credit union to be associated with the coop network. They place holds on cash. Very unnecessary

Banked with Schools First for 14 years, and never have they disappointed. Staff always makes me feel like they have my back. I moved to the east coast 8 years ago and me + my partner are taking out a loan to buy a car for the first time, and they are able to help me from all the way back home. You really can’t beat them.

What a joke. Tired to pay off my car sent them a check twice. Called them several times trying to get them to cash my check. Get this it took them a month to finally cash my check of. $13,000. They closed my account before they cashed my check. The right hand doesn't know what the left hands doing. We will never go thur this company again. ADVICE IS DON'T USE THIS CREDIT UNION. BECAUSE WE ARE TRULY SORRY WE DID.!!!!!

This story is from two years ago, but I will never forget it. I was overseas and got pickpocketed. I lost my phone as well as my debit card and would not be back home for another 7 weeks. Mastercard couldn't do anything for me, since they would just ship the card home, and I couldn't get ahold of anyone there anyway. I forget the gentleman's name, but I managed to connect with someone at Schools First. They verified my identity and were able to rush me a card within 24 business hours. I am confident that no other bank would have done the same thing for me. Every experience I've had with them has been exceptionally positive and I recommend them to every eligible person I know. I've been with them for 5 years now and I never plan on switching. A very belated thank you to the team at Schools First! ^_^
