WOW!! Let me start by saying I have not shopped at Express in a long time. But today I did have to go because my son needed a suit for a wedding. Since he s still a teenager and growing, I didn't want to go to a store with a high price ticket. I walked around for about ten minutes without a greeting or anyone offering to help me, which really upset me. I feel that the days of customer service are dying. That was until a gentleman came up and asked if there was anything he could help me out with. I told him Yes! I needed a suit for my son, and he replied, " Well, I am the right guy for the job. He asked for my name, introduced himself as Marlon, and said I will be helping out today. He then asked me what the occasion was and what size I needed. I told him I was unsure. I told Marlon my son was trying on a shirt in the fitting room. When he saw my son, he quickly grabbed a blue suit jacket and told him to try it on. It's your size. To my surprise, it was, and it fit perfectly. Marlon then explained the suit's details and why my son felt discomfort around the arm. I can say with all my confidence that no one has ever taken the time and care that he gave us regarding clothing. He could answer any questions or doubts I had and provide me with peace of mind. I walked into Express intending to buy a suit, only to be disappointed by the lack of attention these associates have. If it were not for Marlon assisting us and allowing us to feel welcomed and eager to help, I would not be here giving Express a five-star review. These are stars well earned by him, And I highly recommend anyone looking to buy a suit or excellent customer service to ask for Marlon! I sometimes shop at South Coast Plaza since it's closer, but Cerritos, you've earned a returning customer! PS. To the Cerritos store manager, please give Marlon a raise or promotion. He deserves it!

Agree with another comment. Manager lady that is or was here (have not seen her in a while), would yell across the store to the employees. Tone very harsh and unprofessional. As a professional myself in my industry as an accountant, this behavior is horrible and not acceptable anywhere! Makes a very unpleasant experience as shoppers as well. No one in society likes to see employees, much less young professionals, be treated unprofessionally/borderline harassment. Decided to shop at Nordstrom for business attire instead, but have not seen this manager in a while and so I am slowly coming back! Also, please bring back the body contour line!

In my five years at express, I've come through so many obstacles and achieved many success. I had the opportunity to work at the Los Cerritos center up into my departure. Over the course of my tenure, I helped shape a culture of individuals in becoming the best example of what thee express images was while maintaining a 3 million dollar business. Since the lost of Melanie Watson and her biggest attribution to this company, the Orange County district has suffered in the upcoming years. The last three years this company has gone through so many changes. Sacrificing well talented leadership in its way. It makes me so sad that once was a passion that thrived to make store 568 achieved its success. It's now turn into such a volatile toxic workplace. As I'm no longer present I'm am still notified by current employees about management. Christie Zanoni is a racist and a unprofessional sales leader who was unqualified to even be in. While now i come to find out that the credential of previous employment is false on her application, she's a dead beat mother who currently doesn't even have full custody her children. The lack sense that the district manager at the time still baffles me why she even hired her, while working above this individual, I simply have been present to such remarks and well aware of the inexcusable behavior that she indulges. It's unfortunate that this company that is searching for true leadership continues to employ a manger who simply calls her employees by their nationality. It saddens me that I have to walk away have no other choice but to leave the employees behind. If you are interested in working with a company that only cares if you're in a district manager and above than beware. This company will sought you out for any concerns you may have for upper management. Katie Preston the HR coordinator is not to be trusted. She will try to frame the narrative instead of investigating real concerns by the store employees. Express will not give you the resources but expect you to preform at the maximum they can over work you. Being the assistant manager I've been put through no help with my DM when my store manager was gone for 3 weeks. Ive worked off the clock and 9 days consecutively periodically essentially for the last year in my position. While keeping payroll in tact.. I've sacrifice my lunches and my personal days when I was not scheduled to perfect the store due to big visits within the company. At express you are a working mule and as a manager you are force to make a culture where your employees feel appreciated without any recourses from the company while still trying to hang on to any sales associate you have. The worst position to have at express is any management tile under district manager, I was making less than 21 as a asm and the expectation they have you on is not worth it. While the ending of my time here wasn't pleasant. I have gained so much knowledge and appreciation that continues to drive me in the next phase of leadership. I appreciate all the leaders I've came across my time at express.

Loyal customer since in 90s. Bought alot of clothes online and had to return a few items at the store. I've asked 1 item for price adjustment (online discount), Crystal and her crew honor it. Thank you for providing utmost customer service which difficult to get good customers service in these days.

At first customer service was less than impressive it seemed like employees were a bit challenged with helping answer our question/finding a specific product we wanted. But right before we were about to give up Christie came to save the day! Christie was absolutely the BEST! She asked a bunch of questions in order to see exactly what my mom wanted. She explained the product well to my mom and listened to what my mom wanted. Christie was patient and did not give up or even slightly show an ounce of frustration (even though it was a challenge to find the perfect pair of pants ). Christie was so attentive it almost felt like we had the store to ourselves. My mom who NEVER gets anything that fits just right left yesterday with the perfect pair of pants thanks to Christie's outstanding attention to detail and customer service. Thank you so much Christie Express is very lucky to have you!

The blonde lady at the cash register was extremely rude. She was giving me attitude when I was providing her with my email. No wonder no one wants to shop here the shopping experience is the worst. The person I was with also commented on her behavior.

I am not a person who complains much but today i must complain about your Cerritos store. When i walked in I did not get greeted by your staff. Inwas shocked to see close all over the place (cluttered in different areas of the store). Employees chitchating and could care less about customer service. The fitting area looked really bad, again clothes everywhere. . Ive been a loyal customer for years and this is the first time i see the store this bad. I strongly suggest management rettain this crew that was working this evening. One more thing, the manager on sites contributed to the chitchating and horrible service.1Lastly, please enforce a dress code. The manager wearing converse? Not sure that is appropriate for Express ,and only one cashier open, while i was there shopping

Actual worst store for customer service. Express really should re-evaluate their management. This store is run by an inexperienced, young staff who has no customer service skills. A simple return turned into a terrible experience which reflects so bad onto this company. On top of that, they hardly have any inventory in sizing. I would recommend going to a different location in hopes of having a better experience.
