West America, worst... bank... ever! RUN AWAY!! Customer service always talks down to you like they are doing you a favor, just horrible. I went online, like always do to make sure my direct deposit went through. I was looking at a zero balance, wait, what? My account was closed with no notice; how about a letter, phone call, text or email? They claimed it was a computer error and snipely told me to call about the direct deposit that it was not their problem but yet they caused said problem. Not to mention I had been banking with them for 20 years and the fees are just horrendous. Also would like to add I found out about this yesterday when I was at the store picking up Thanksgiving dinner but my card was declined and hence no dinner for today, way to go Westamerica! Thank you so much, you guys just suck big time!

Went in earlier today to open a checking account. Staff were unknowledgable, unprofessional, and no one was available to help us with opening an account. The employee said she couldn't do anything because she was new, and said to just come back later assuming we have all day. They need more employees who know what they're doing or complete better training for the employees.
