Always a great place for gas in the neighborhood. Clean and prices are competitive for good quality gas.

After hiking at Lake Chabot I came back to a flat tire. It was about 15 minutes before the Mobil gas station opened, but the young man that was tending to gas station that morning was already there, ready to help. I tried to used the air machine initially, but the attendant found it wasn’t working, so he allowed me to back my car to the service area, to help fill my tire. We discover the tire wouldn’t hold air, and I wouldn’t make it home before it went completely flat. He asked if I had a spare and changed my tire with no hesitation and refused any compensation. Some times when your in s as bind you luck out and come across a savior, and the young man at this Mobil was mine, and I will forever be thankful for his assistance and impeccable service.

I've been coming to these station for 15 years. It used to be a 76 but changed companies about 5 years ago. I've always received excellent service from the owner who I haven't seen in awhile and hope still owns the franchise. Since it became Mobil the place has gotten an upgrade. Probably the cleanest gas station I've ever been too and can easily be accessed no matter what side of the street you are driving on. Just across the street is the Public Market, a great place to grab a bite to eat. I'm happy that this little section of Castro Valley if being frequented more often. Behind the gas station is a quaint park with picnic benches, baseball fields, tennis courts and a few play grounds for kids. Come get some gas, grab lunch, and enjoy all Castro Valley has to offer!

So here's a story. I go to this gas station at least weekly and I stopped in on a day I usually dont. I was in a rush and put in a small quantity of gas. I noticed the nozzle was very leaky and seemed off but I filled my gas anyway and started the car. When I started my car I noticed the gas didn't change at all (it's not my bobber I went to another station after and put in the same amount and it didn't show the gas from both places it only showed filled from the second place. And I know my gas tank and how much every gallon moves the line.) Anyway when I told the guy about it he started laughing at me and accusing me of being a thief. Is that how you deal with customers treat them like dirt and with suspicion. If the man had just said I'm sorry idk and no manager is on duty I can't refund u things would have worked out different. But his first response was to dismiss and accuse me of trying to steal from him. I guess theres a reason that man is 50 years old and is still stuck as a gas station attendant. It's how u deal with people, it's the easiest job u just sit there all day the least u can do is show people respect. I feel bad that I lost my temper cuz he just kept laughing at me and accusing me of stealing. Definitely would never give them my business again
