Longtime depositor at this location. They recently helped me with a sticky problem. Thank you Wells Fargo and the great Carmel-by-the-Sea office and employees and management!

Edna answering the phone was like a breath of fresh air!I was trying to wire money to my daughter and had been turned away from my branch as well as all the others in Salinas and Monterey. I had no idea that such a transaction required an appointment with a banker 24 hours in advance (at least!)Edna said come on in, so I drove from Prunedale to Carmel at 3:00 and was greeted by Betty who handled the wire efficiently and graciously. Plus they have a great parking lot with ample spaces! Tempted to transfer my accounts to this branch. Such a welcoming bunch

Extremely poor experience. After waiting for 20minutes to be seen,I waited another 5 minutes while the banker tried to get his call answered by corporate customer support. The banker didnt try to get my solution. He accepted defeat on the phone and hung up to tell me the news without asking me for more information. I was not about to wait another 5 minutes for him to get through on the phone again so I left. What a waist of time!

I have been banking at Wells Fargo for 20 years. My husband much, much longer. Well he's been at WF... since it was Crocker Bank. We have always loved living in town and banking in town. It has been our pleasure to be at the San Carlos and Seventh location. This year I had the good fortune of working with Edna, the most professional, smart, witty, and full of good energy banker I've come across. I needed her help with a personal loan. She made the loan application seamless. I sat in the comfy branch at San Carlos (across the street from the famous Thinker Toys, and next door to the awesome old market, Neilson Brothers. There you can get a yummy lunch in the back of the store. Free parking downstairs for shoppers!) Sorry, Edna! This is about YOU! You are so radiant. The bank was full of good energy. Great people working at Wells Fargo at this moment in time. Actually, they have all been great people in that bank for my twenty years of banking at that branch. Edna sits in the middle desk in the middle of the bank. Professional, kind, patient, humorous, and her number one priority is finding what is best for YOU, the customer. I'm telling you all. You've got to check Edna out at Wells Fargo on San Carlos in Carmel. I adore her. Thank you Edna. OH, and she also helped me with another account. That was big and I appreciated her expertise so very much. I felt blessed to be in her hands.

I have banked with Wells Fargo for YEARS! The company I work for is close to this branch and we bank with a very niche Salinas-based bank, but I find myself needing change every so often and it is not feasible for me to go all the way to Salinas when I have to break a $100 bill. So I went in today for change and I didn't bring my wallet because it was absolutely pouring out and I was met with the same snarky attitude that I have been before when asking for change. I assured the teller that I am a Wells Fargo customer and since I didn't have my wallet, I logged onto my Wells Fargo app to show her and she didn't seem the least bit interested and treated me like I was trying to embezzle money from her. I'm sorry, is this not a bank where it is your literal purpose to help people with money? On a lighter note: the security guard who stands watch outside is quite possibly the nicest human on the planet. Give that man a raise!

Never, ever again will I give this bank an opportunity to confuse and complicate my finances, and cause stress for me. Wells Fargo is a unreliable and heartless bank with a terrible reputation. Last year they paid me $700. for retaliating against a whistleblower. I was speaking up about their dishonest practices four months before the scandal made the news. I regret giving WF a second chance more than I can say. The ONLY reason I did so was because my dying partner said it made things easier for him if we banked at the same bank. Now he has passed, but Wells Fargo continues to vex me with their lack of respect for the law, and my worse than useless account. They should not be permitted to remain in business! Countdown to new bank!
