I initially went with this company as it was owned and operated by a lovely women who worked with my family for years. The business has since been handed over to ... highly incompetent individuals. Not only did they, on several occasions, become highly confrontational with me, the home owner, they also flat out called me a liar, contributed to renters vandalization / destruction of property and over charged me in several areas by creating unnecessary maintenance bills. The last straw though was several months after I fired them, when I received a stop notice from my bank on a refund check the company issued me. The check was declined, I was charged a stop fee and the money was taken out of my account by my bank to cover La Costa Homes ridiculous accounting shenanigans. I would never recommend this company with the current managing staff.

I had used this company once before, and while my experience then wasn't perfect (the dude hit on my wife) - it was fine for what it was while we lived outside of the area for a few years.So, recently, I engaged their services to rent out my condo. They were fine until it started showing. I have a tenant in the second bedroom who asked for no one to go into her room (opening the door counts). At the very first showing, someone opened the door to her room. I have a text record between the owner of this - we'll call it a company - saying which room was ok and which wasn't. When I confronted Lynn about it, she blamed the tenant and attempted to get information about her ability to lock the door. Lock the door? DON'T OPEN THE DAMN DOOR like I asked AND YOU AGREED TO! There - no need to lock it.The only good thing to come of it was the offender was willing to sever the agreement early. Considering I had cause to sever the agreement, it's really not that much of a plus that said offender, Lynn, was willing to do so. In summary, if you don't want someone that is immediately willing to trample right over your boundaries like a stampeding herd of elephants - find another property management company.

Lynn was very helpful to me on the phone when I called with questions about how to sell my rental property that I could no longer manage. Asking Lynn to help me was an easy decision as La Costa Sales and Rentals has a long standing history in our community.Lynn went above and beyond. She helped bring in my trash cans more than once. She even dressed up as a witch for a Halloween Open House. Every step of the way Lynn was on top of making sure the process went as smoothly as possible. Lynn is very professional, honest, and hard working. It was a pleasure working with Lynn. Thank you La Costa Sales and Rentals!

LaCosta Homes and Rentals is a very professional, helpful, and well-run business that takes property management seriously and offers a great experience for residents. If you are looking for a rental property in North County, I would highly recommend working with La Costa. The property will be well-maintained, priced appropriately, and anything you need will be taken care of promptly. It is so pleasant to deal with property managers that are so businesslike. Highly recommended!

Self centered egotistical arrogant and only interested in ripping off those who chose to deal with this company. When renting I requested a simple receipt that the home had been cleaned before we moved in with a pregnant wife and a 2year old. After refusing to do so, belittling and berating me and making my concern for cleanliness and the safety of my family seem like a personal attack against her, Lynn has continued to be so entitled that she refused to listen to any type of reason. Stay away from this group and especially the owner Lynn.

La Costa sales and rental manager my investment property for several years and when we decided to put on the market, I was happy to give the listing to Lynn. Lynn is so knowledgeable and communicates effectively and as often as needed. It has been a great several years working with her and we will certainly be giving Lynn future business.

I worked with Lynn Smith on purchasing a home for my parents in Escondido. I couldn't have been happier with the service i received. She went completely above and beyond. I value professionalism, prompt replies, and help with context (making complex issues simple). Lynn delivered on all of those and then some. Purchasing a home is difficult in general, but during a pandemic, it's even more so. She gave great advice throughout negotiations, and I ended up getting the house my family wanted. Normally, an agent's responsibilities stop there. But even after the house was purchased, Lynn went out of her way to make sure I had the right professionals helping me with some remodeling. I felt very well taken care of, and Lynn was great about the details. I have already recommended Lynn to friends and family, and will continue to do so. I hope to work with her again very soon. We've been renting a townhouse from La Costa Sales & Rentals since about a month before COVID hit, and could not be more pleased. There have been a few small snafus that have popped up, and Lynn and the rest of the team are always on top of getting someone out to fix the issue as soon as possible. Their communication is always upfront and professional, policies and rates reasonable, and they even keep us in the loop about community events and happenings. They have been the best property management agency I have ever done business with, bar none! Thanks guys!

I was referred to Lynn Smith by a neighbor I met through the Nextdoor app. He said she has been in Real Estate in the Carlsbad area since 1982 and knows the neighborhood inside and out.. I met with Lynn and found her to be extremely helpful along with her team back at her office. I highly recommend Lynn if you are looking to sell or rent out your place.

I worked with this team for several years when I decided to lease out my condo. Patrick interviewed several applicants and gave me his recommendations on whom to select. I'm glad I took his advice as I had clean and on-time tenants for several years. His team quickly provided me with financial statements whenever I requested them, which was frequently due to several big life changes I experienced. Finally, I used Patrick as my selling agent for the condo and I have to say that he made the process seamless. He was professional, honest, and was able to give me his advice on pricing and counter offers because he is so familiar with the Carlsbad area.

I have been renting and have worked with La Costa Sales & rentals for almost 10 years. It is a great company that I would and do refer everybody I know to. They are very professional and overall great people. I know most of the staff and they are very friendly and great at their jobs. If your looking to buy, sell, rent or need property management there isn't a better company to work with.
