Bring your car here if you’re willing to run the risk that will not be repaired properly.Classic rabbit hole; I brought my car here to have its coolant system fixed/replaced after they built trust through oil / tire changes. This was approximately a year and a half to two years ago.Today marks the end after the system was/has never the same again, and they applied bandaid after bandaid til finally the engine broke down and has to be replaced. Had the car towed from the shop today, thousands of dollars later.I just don’t have faith or trust in them as mechanics, and believe neither should you.

Maybe adequate for tires in the future, but will not be returning for repairs. My car needed a new MAF sensor, they completed diagnostics and replaced it with a name-less sensor. A few days later the performance of my vehicle had not improved and then became worse. They would’ve charged me $200 for further diagnostics. They use handwritten invoices and I had to ask specifically for a copy. My engine cover was also missing after the repair. I replaced the MAF myself with a factory made sensor for my car (which appeared visually different than the brand-less sensor I had been given) and the issues were resolved immediately. I took it to another shop and the engine warnings had disappeared and my car was accelerating/operating better immediately. Went in to Big-O to be refunded for the wrong sensor, they gave me cash because they didn't have records of the recent repair. Doogie, in the front office, was understanding of my concerns and apologized over the phone--the owner did not apologize to me in the shop. Thank you for your understanding.

I had a flat tire, and Big O took care of my family so quickly. The nicest local shop, they made the process quick easy and affordable.

Big O in Carlsbad has been my go-to for years for oil changes. they've always been so kind and done a great job.I recently had engine trouble where Lexus Carlsbad told me it was a head gasket and would cost $6k to fix...I took it to Big O and after they took a look at the engine they found out that was not that case, and in fact, it would only be $150 to fix a small leak with the timing belt (or something like that, I don't speak car). They fixed my car in a day and I cannot say enough great things about the service. Big O will forever be who I trust and go to for my car maintenance.I don't even do Yelp reviews... but I had to this time. You can trust them and their work.

Overpriced. They said they were going to give me 4 tires for 900, when they seen me driving off they changed it to 700. No thank you.

Despised by every local in the north county area. Employees made both my mom and sister feel extremely uncomfortable when we went there to purchase 4 new tires. I don't know how they even still exist as a company. I wouldn't doubt that they are months away from going bankrupt. This establishment is a disgrace and should be condemned.

Beware! They charge 4% on the total if you pay by credit card. I didn't get a receipt with that amount. I had to wait until my credit card statement came to find out there was a credit card fee. I hate companies that do this. Accepting credit cards is a convenience not only for the customer but also for the business. They receive their money immediately. Had I known there was going to be a credit card charge I would have paid by check. And make them go to the bank to get their money.

$150/hr for labor rates?! My car was MISSING A WHEEL LUG NUT when they gave it back to me. Sent them pics, an email and called. No reply - called "D" who said they would "put one on" I asked how a tire guy could miss that!!! He said "I don't even know if it was missing in the first place" REALLY?! Fixed it myself - stay AWAY from this shop.

Excellent customer service and very reasonable pricing on car repair servicing. I am a widowed senior who has been going to Big O Tires at this location for very many years. Brent, the owner and his staff always treats me with respect and a warm welcome. Any work that has to be done on my 2012 Fiat (my Fiat is 10 years old and parts are starting to go) will end with a decent and a fair bill. I highly recommend Big o Tire Repair Shop on State Street in Carlsbad.

DO NOT GO HERE. I dropped my car off for a simple oil change and it was returned with a huge scratch all down the passenger side. The owner Day and manager seemed to already have their story straight and did not take responsibility at all. I took their insurance but I decided to just have it repaired on my own. Liars! No discount nothing! They are also a repair/ chop shop. My neighbor parked his car in the alley behind big O, went to get his car only to find it in the big O Tires Bay being worked on. They said oh we didn't know it was yours. -they didn't have the keys or permission to work on his car!! Take my word for it do NOT use their service regardless of coupon or convenience.

I am 100% satisfied with my recent service from Big O Tires, and I am pleased with their work and their friendly demeanor. My wife's SUV has fancy Pirelli run-flat tires (315/35R21). One of the rear tires picked up a screw. I stopped in on Saturday, half an hour before closing time, to ask if they could fix it. "Sure." The tech looked at it and said that a Pirelli run-flat tire that had sidewall damage couldn't be safely patched. (When I got home, I verified this on www.pirelli.com). I decided to buy a new tire. I was slightly worried about being overcharged, so I looked up the price of the tire at tire suppliers in the area. Big O quoted me a price that was exactly the same as the cheapest supplier I could find on my phone, so I ordered it through them. Tuesday morning they phoned me and said the tire I had ordered was there. I didn't even have time to finish one game of solitaire on my phone in the waiting room before they had finished installing it. I took it out onto I-5 to make sure it was good at freeway speeds, but of course it was.
