My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a recent PCH trip. We loved our room and the breakfast was excellent. It is a slightly different experience in that there are no hotel staff on-site so all communication is through text, phone or email. Once we understood that, we were fine as the responsiveness was excellent - but I can understand this would bother some people. Breakfast is delivered outside your door in a basket which we enjoyed in our room but there was also a common area with chairs/tables on the first floor if one wanted to eat there. Coffee and drinking water tank were also on the first floor with CC cookies every evening. This is a B&B so you will hear the people in the room next to you - the interior walls have no sound insulation. Fortunately they were quiet and we tried to return the favor. We typically use a white noise app on our phones when traveling which helps but I notice they had provided one plus foam ear buds to help with neighbor noise. The weather was awesome in June so we were able to leave the back window open with the sound of a water fountain outside which was lovely. The King bed was very comfortable as was the bathroom and shower. Would recommend to others with the above expectations.
You'll most likely want to drive to town as the street there is narrow/hilly with no walking path; however we did notice there is a set of stairs down the hill across the street at the back of a small community so it appeared walking to town was possible if using that path/stairs.
Cambria is a cute small town with plenty of good restaurants for a short stay - we would recommend Linn's restaurant and bakery based on our experience.

Stayed two nights at this property. Overall very enjoyable. Room was clean and cozy. The property has Hulu, Netflix and YouTube accounts on their tv for us to use, so we didn’t need to log in to our own accounts (This was really convenient). The water heater worked great, the bathtub was big and comfortable. The common area has popcorn, coffee and a microwave!

Miss the ole J Patrick House when it was privately owned and served a wonderuful bfast around the dining room. Now you get a bfast in a picnic basket - VERY uninspiring- sausages, small piece of quiche, dry small muffin and a small vanilla yogurt with a few berries. When we complained there was no vegetarian option - they offered a complimentary buffet bfast at their lodge (why dont they offer everyone the buffet). Plus there is no one to greet you its all done with codes on the doors - and no more happy hour treats . A very different JPatrick Inn like we experienced 10 years ago.

Loved our room at J. Patrick House & Inn. It's got the b&b charm with modern comforts - stoked about the spacious modern bathroom and the mini fridge/freezer in the room (we like to rd trip with a cooler so it was great to put left overs and refreeze our ice packs). We had a completely contactless stay which would have been perfect in the height of COVID but if you like a front desk to go to/immediate response either call their number or walk over to their other inn. Text and email were not the best ways to get in touch.

Everything was perfect! Perfect location, awesome amenities, cozy room. Super quiet, warm fireplace, big comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Cambria. Will be our go-to every time we visit!

I received a welcoming text a day before I made a reservation 9 months earlier without a reminder email, so I had to pay over 400.00 for a room than had faulty electric outlets, so we couldn't charge our phones, flickering lamps, very difficult tv to manage, no soap in the bathroom and a box spring that was not covered so we could see it. Ive never had an experience like that in a room that expensive. They offered to send someone to drop soap etc. It was the worst room we've stayed and the most expensive. We will never go back again.

Yes this place is quaint and cute but truly more like a cabin experience than a bnb. Reasonable rates for what you get but don't expect a bnb experience anymore. This is not the same place as it was with the different owners a few years ago. It is owned by Cambria pines lodge across the street. The same breakfast picnic basket was delivered each morning. No variation and pretty basic. Quiche, 3 sausages, juice and yogurt. Not very hot either though there is a microwave downstairs. The room and house are very cold in January. Space heater helps and the bed was plenty warm and comfortable. In general, the atmosphere of the place without owners present is cold. Leather couches downstairs make it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the home. Minimal lighting too. The off site staff were very responsive to our text requests for more towels and blankets. Just know this is a 3 star stay for lack of amenities. I believe it got 4-5 start years ago when there was a chef here and the food and owners made a name for themselves. Ratings stay with a business even after there is a change in ownership so be aware.

Easy check in, really good breakfast. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Could potentially be a bit loud depending on your neighbor next door but that's with any place you stay. Quiet town. We found it very relaxing and homey.

The road is busy during the day, but quiet at night. The Cambria market lights is across the road, but there are no sidewalks and can be hazardous. The room with gas fireplace was cozy and the bathroom amenities were top notch. Finally the breakfast basket was fantastic.

It was our first time staying at a bed & breakfast, and we’re so glad we chose this one! First of all, what a beautiful little town. The B&B was tucked away in a quiet spot. Cozy bedroom, the best complementary soft baked sugar cookies we’ve ever had, breakfast delivered to our door in the mornings, and the smell of cooking through out the house in the evening. Felt like home!! Can’t wait to come back❤️
