Full disclosure, I went with my girlfriend, looking at cars. I wasn't the one buying, but I was there with her when she was going through the process. I was really impressed. No high pressure tactics, just made themselves available and answer any questions we had. The staff was very friendly, and took the time to show us the different features and models to help us make our decision. When the time came to buy, again, the staff was very friendly, and didn't try to push us into anything. A surprisingly great experience overall.

Just brought my 2020 s60 in for service. For the first time ever (this is my third car from this dealership) the service agent/manager told me the "minimum" service package was the lowest I could take when I specifically asked for the "factory maintenance" package that is $400 cheaper. I went ahead as I was expecting to discuss taking the minimum anyway. However, later discussions showed that it is the website teams not updating everything at the same time. The service manager came through after seeing this and made it good for me. I have stayed with this dealership for years because I have always found the service team to be completely honest and upfront in my favor.

One star for Steven M. At first he was welcoming, but then quickly became pushy and allowed me almost no time to think. He helped me test drive an XC40 about four weeks ago, and although it was incredibly comfortable, I decided that it was too much for me. I was having a hard time identifying the real reason in the moment, but I said thank you and walked off. As I was leaving, I remembered that I left my phone inside the car I test drove. When I re-entered the front door of the building, I heard him using explicitaves to badmouth me to his colleague, insult my intelligince and criticize me for not knowing the attributes of my own vehicle. When I called him out to retrieve my phone, he was clearly embarrassed. At least he gave me my phone back. I can't speak for other salespeople at Volvo of Burlingame, but I would recommend avoiding Steven.

Steven was fantastic to work with. He gave me a tutorial and showed me all the buttons and features. He gave me a clear explanation and gave me some useful tips and recommendations on my new VOLVO! 10/10 service. He went above and beyond! Go see Steven and Tommy

Thank you to Tommy (sales manager) and Ash (sales consultant) to make my desire come true to drive electric vehicle. The Volvo C40 is one of the luxury small SUV you can find, it's smaller than Tesla Y and X. It's easier to park and it's zippy around town. Every one in Bay Area should drive 1 EV in my opinion, good for environment and easy to drive. Not to mention you get the VIP parking. Thank you Putnam Volvo for your excellent service

Look for Ash! He was patient with us and answered the bajillion questions we had. He gave us a lot of tips and even quickly responded to our emails (of another bajillion questions that came up after we left the dealership).

5 stars for Michael in the Service Department. I always come in stressed and frazzled...usually very short on time and he always greets me with professionalism and warmth. I appreciate his calmness and willingness to give me helpful advice :) Per usual - worth the drive for me from San Francisco or San Jose. Thank you Volvo of Burlingame!

We bought a used XC90 with 9k miles on it. It took several days to receive because there was servicing to be done. When we picked it up, the Air Condition didn't work. When we took it back in (within 2 weeks of purchasing it) it took days to fix. When we went to pick it up, there was a huge chunk missing out of the tires. Several more days of service. We purchased the highest level of warranty and care but this car isn't work the 900/month payment. Took it in for servicing a month ago and they wanted us to get new tires, even though we have only put 16k miles on the car since buying it. Nothing works on the car as it's supposed to, key is already out of battery, sensors work when they want to. Called the dealership today 3 times and each time was hung up on before I could speak to someone. I'm sure they'll try to deny us a loaner when we do finally take it in for service, again. We bought this car because we thought it was the best family vehicle and it seems they've sold us a lemon and that combined with their services, leaves my family in a lurch as it's heating up and the A/C is once again not working properly for a family of 6 in a wagon.
