Maria is AMAZING. She has been helping my entire family and myself with all our loans for years. She makes the process really fast and simple. I honestly don't know where I'd be without her guidance. We've financed several cars, debt consolidation loans and signature loans for college expenses without any issues.

Lack communication and are not willing to work with members and their needs. If you don't have a lot of money with them, forget about the process being easy. I was dealing with my father's account who just passed, no sympathy and poor communication when trying to handle the probate basics. The CEO, Angel, lacks empathy/sympathy as well.

I had a terrible experience here. Angel, the CEO, tends to side with his staff and gives very empty "apologies" for the unprofessional manner some of his staff has. Although, the young lady taking my phone call when I first called was very nice and polite, nothing against her. More about the people who carry a "career" position at the institution. The people who take advantage because they have a high position there and are least likely get fired. My father had an account here and he passed. My mom called acknowledging the bank of his passing and they never froze the account. The credit union ended up stealing over $100 in fees from his account. When we tried to get them back, we were simply told "no" through 2 different stories in order to beat around the bush. One story is that only the board approves refunded fees and the other story is that they give a statement every 3 months so you will only get 3 months worth of credit back IF they want to based on an un-biased policy. So if there is death involved, don't expect mercy or grace. Everyone is treated "equal" and if there is miscommunication on the bank's side then that's just too bad for the member. I sent multiple emails requesting an explanation as to why I couldn't get the credit back and never got one. Maria is considered customer service and handles accounts, yet she could care less about you, even though your membership pays her salary. I am learning that credit unions don't really have the small business friendly type of service. I get treated better by Bank of America which says a lot. The reason I am writing a review is because this is people's money we are talking about. I wouldn't want anyone to get stolen from the way they manipulated my family and took advantage of death. Pretty petty if you ask me.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for any loan I need but here. I've been going with them since I first started off my credit.... about two years ago I fell into debt and they worked with me to help me pay off what I owned them. Highly recommend this place! Both Alysia and Reggie are great people

I have been dealing with CACU since buying my house in 1999! They have always gone above and beyond to make sure I am satisfied. So I have my home loan, savings, Visa and now my car loan with them. Maria is always patient with me, and looks for other ways for me to save. As far as I'm concerned, she is the "Angel" at the credit union. They will always be my go-to in money matters. You can't go wrong with them.

I share several issues as the previous reviewer. Not a fan of most the staff or CEO as well, for being small they are way out of touch. I been a member of CALAGCU for about 12 years. Very non service oriented and lack know how to handle and communicate IRA needs. My experience with Credit Union's in general is that they are not as sophisticated or electronically savvy as the main large commercial banks and brokerages.

Customer service is the worst, they have numerous hidden fees, try to look for ways to call you a fraud, and the CEO Angel is just "wonderful" to work with. P.S. why do people in customer service close when their customers are just getting off work?
