Signed up online at a reasonable price point 2-3 weeks prior to scheduled date, only to receive a phone call the day before the class asking me to reschedule from the Wednesday to a Sunday. I agreed, then received a callback on Friday same week informing me that Sunday's are a "go", but that we need to push out roughly 2 weeks from the originally scheduled date. Following an unpleasant exchange with the primary dog trainer at Store 527, I ended up having to pursue a refund and will not be training at this specific Petco location.

The service is very bad, we took two Chihuahua puppies to be bathed, cut and file their nails, brushed their teeth and put something on them for fleas, and well, they bathed them very well but everything else was very bad; the nails are a bit long and not filed, they couldn't do the brushing of the teeth because the puppies didn't want to and for the fleas it seems they forgot and they charged me the same anyway, the staff is very friendly but what good is it? They don't do their job as they should. He never went back to that store again.

I had my dog here for boarding. She was there Friday to Sunday. They only fed my dog one time. My dog was fed Friday night. No other time. SHAME on them. They are terrible. They had absolutely no concern or explanation. Need I say more!!! Don't send you beloved pet here. They will harm your pet.

I left Maltipoo to get groomed and the lady that checked me in at Petco (Adrienne) was rude off the bat! As soon as I said I have an appointment she said YOU'RE LATE I said well I went to Petsmart in error. She assessed my Maltipoo and said she is matted I will need to shave her. She said you should bring her every 4-6 weeks I said I'm busy and getting an appt is tough she said do you work 7days a week? All rude!! I should've just left! But my dogs bday is 4/23 so I wanted her to look pretty. After 2hrs they called me to tell me they injured my pup and had to take her to the VET!! They didn't even call me. They left a message saying this is the 2nd time we call (not true!) we brought your dog back we cut her. We couldn't finish the grooming she said!! Uh!! Not only did they hurt my pup they mangled her grooming! One Paw was shaved and the other 3 were not plus her face was full of fur!! Uh!! Worst groomer and grooming ever!

Unprofessional and Disrespectful. Pass this to your leadership and management! Came here to just look at kittens at the adoption center. Volunteer of the center was no where to be found and no one was able to contact them (employees included). Another family was in there with a kitten outside of its cage. After a while of waiting outside the doors I asked an employee for help and that's when they said there should be a volunteer in there but there wasn't and that they would contact them. So we waited, walked into the center with the other family. Another employee, who seems to be a manager comes in and says "Where is it?" While walking in and out of the center. Another employee comes to the door and says the same thing to the first employee. First employee says "I asked but no one said anything" (Lol what?) We didn't realize he was talking about us, customers who did not know what was going on and was waiting for the other employee who said would contact the rescue in charge. Later come to realize he WAS talking to us and he was looking for the kitten that was out of the cage that the other family was playing with. And then he tells the family that it's not supposed to be out and needs them to "text" the rescue when the family already did but received no response. Has the audacity to tell them that the rescue volunteer wouldn't be in until 6PM OR 7PM when the rescue actually promoted an adoption event that would end at 5pm. That just means they just made that time up. Anyways. Garbage customer service. Why be weird, coulda just said "Hi Where is the kitten? They shouldnt be out of the cage." instead of "Where is it?" Where is what, my guy! And then talk about us like we were dumb in front of us.

Grooming service. I am not sure if it's they schedule to many appointments at a time or what, but my dog has been there for 8 hours. I've had great experiences here before but this one was not it. I wouldn't recommend.

Drove 10 miles. Got at door 6:51pm on Sunday. Said I know what I want can I grab it real quick? "We're closed." While still helping people. Rude cashier that looks homeless. Could've gave me 5 mins now I have to waste gas to drive to another one

Will not recommend this Petco in Brea, but think La Habra was much better. My pup is itchy and has dandruff less than 24 hours even after his enhance bath with essential oils. Called and they wanted me to wait until my pup sees their Vet. Huh? Terrible...terrible! Can I give no stars?

Frantic I went to Petco with a water bottle that didn't seem to be working for the guinea pigs i was "sitting". Kim was more than helpful. She took the bottle back where the sink was and showed me how to use it and then she washed it! I can't describe how relieved I was for her kind and friendly help. They will have my "pet" business in the future!

Adryn (I hope I spelled her name right) was so helpful with my pending pickup order, I ordered 4 items around 9:30 am and it was supposed to be ready by 1 pm.So then I made a trip out of it, took me mum to lunch and stopped by Petco Brea by 1:30 pm.I was baffled to find that the pickup email never came through, and my Petco account on the website says it's pending for delivery. Very confusing.So one clerk called the manager for help, they searched for my order, and it's not in their system.So the manager (Adryn) called the Petco hq to push my order through so they can give me the items.While on hold, she picked the items out for me, and they're ready as the hq woman told her that my order will take time to get through.Smart and savvy Adryn then decided to ring my items up in the store, gave me the same discount that I got online, and then she'll cancel the pending online order once it's thru to their system.Best solution to a logjam that we were experiencing.My pup and I would like to thank you again; to the manager and staff of Petco Brea, best customer service ever!-red.

Cancelled my urgent delivery last minute. Made me wait 4 hrs just to cancel. No warning or anything didn't leave me a chance to purchase food for my pets anywhere else

Last night I visited this location. Alex helped me. I was changing dog food and needed some help. He was friendly and very helpful. The food he helped me select was a hit with my dog. Both my pup and I appreciate his help. Thanks Alex! As a side note, anytime I have visited this location they have always been willing to help. PetSmart across the street has always had poor customer service.

Oh man, people here are super friendly! They helped me a lot, and the return policy is excellent! Sometimes, my dog does not feel good after some snacks. Their staff primarily know what they are doing.

Absolute terrible experience. I returned a dog rain jacket that was purchased in store and returned in store and never received my refund. After multiple calls to petco's customer service (for the direct store & corporate) and even my bank the only information that was given was that my refund of $21.54 was refunded back to a card ending in numbers that do not match any of my accounts or cards. I informed the woman who I spoke to that I can bring my bank statement in and to show that the numbers do not match my accounts but was informed it wouldn't do anything. I was told whatever card I inserted for the refund was the card I received the refund to but that was not the case. I'm not sure if there was a computer glitch or where my refund went but it wasn't refunded back to me or any of my accounts. At this point it's not the amount that is owed to me but the frustration & effort I had to put in to simply be refunded. I will never be back to petco this whole experience has turned me off as a customer who purchases from this store at least a month for my pets. If I knew this was going to be the case I would of just kept the dog rain jacket and avoided all the unnecessary stress & drama. If you're ever making a return at this store I recommend you check to ensure you really receive your refund because there's some weird stuff going on here on the back-end.
