“I found Vinh Phat Auto Repair on Yelp and glad that I did! After dealing with many dishonest and greedy mechanics, I believed ALL mechanics are equally “effed up”. HOWEVER, Vinh gave me a change of heart! He’s a one (1) man show that takes pride in his work. He is honest, knowledgeable, reliable and affordable.I needed my rear brakes and rotors replaced. He recommended I buy the parts at Auto Zone and I just pay for the labor. He specifically advised me what to ask for and buy, so I didn’t have guess or explain anything to Auto Zone.After all is said and done, I can confidently say he’s LEGIT! “Just recently had a VW passat engine fixed, you will not find a more honest and reasonably priced mechanic in Chula Vista. Jr takes his time to explain the diagnosis procedure and lets you know the cost of repairs before moving forward. I have no problems refereeing friends and family to his shop which all have great things to say about his service and commitment to customer needs. Mechanics and lawyers get a bad wrap for being dishonest but when you find a good honest one stick with them for good results.”

“I cannot explain how much these guys helped me in a review. Took a car in for a pre-buy inspection, and they found everything. Not only do they find everything, but they can explain it in detail. They even jacked the car up and took me on a walk through inspection of the car, part by part.

“We drove 950 miles to San Diego for a graduation with an infant and a toddler. Our water pump went out and we searched for same day service due to needing to return home for military orders. Not only did they take a look at the jeep right away upon arrival, they sent an employee to go buy test fluid to check the health of the engine and they moved their mechanic to our vehicle to get it replaced the same day. They were family friendly and expedient in their work. Highly recommend.”

“Short version is they do great quality, clean and detailed work with fair prices, a rare combination in this day and age! I highly recommend Checkered Automotive Solutions for any work and plan to return for a bumper installation.I purchased a full suspension package for my truck and didn’t have the time or location to do it myself. Accutune Offroad gave me several recommended shops but Checkered was able to work with my limited schedule to install the suspension and align my truck the same day. Additionally he was able to pickup my suspension parts from AO and also retorque everything the day after installing it.I will absolutely be returning to Checkered Automotive Solutions for any future work that I don’t have the time to do myself, and know it was done well!”

This shop is family owned and operated and i couldn’t be more pleased with the value they bring to their customers. I immediately took both cars to the shop , a subaru and acura for preventive maintenance . Jeff had told me in advanced how much the estimates were and if our cars didn’t need anything additional it wouldn’t make sense to charge me for it. I really appreciate his integrity and being forward with me. Lastly the turn around was 2 days and cars are back on the road doing what they’re intended to. “So i live in Paradise hills and normally i would go to shops in narional city but i have alway past this place because i go to bonita alot i always seen them busy and because its in bonita i thought they would be quiet expensive. But ne how i needed to get a break inapection for peace of mind because a privious shop had done a break job for me that cost me an arm and a leg that ended up in just desaster they way over charged me didnt do what was supose to be fixed ect. So to be sure my breaks were in Fact safe to drive because they just didnt feel right i decided to have a break inspection done at the bonita valley. And all i can say is incredible ronnie took care of me and all the staff there were friendly really knowleagable i was in and out in no time ronnie went up and beyond in his customer service. I definitly found my new place i will be coming for future work done. The price was super fair. I had a great experiance i has all my questions answerd and left feeling safe about my car. Thanks a bunch!”
