“I had a lunch with my kid on Friday, the guy behind the register was amazing, great attitude and super service however, the chicken came uncooked, again the cashier took it back to finish cooking it. How do you hire a cheff that does not know when the meet is or is not cooked?”

“One of the coolest grocery stores I've ever been to! There is truly something for everyone here from the vast selection of colorful produce to artisan bread to locally prepared foods. While some items are a bit pricey, you can definitely shop here on a budget if you know what to pick. Additionally, the store is both vegan/vegetarian friendly and I think has a great policy on waste. Many items like cashews are kept in bulk to reduce on plastic. If you like fresh food or simply a solid unique grocery store, the Berkeley Bowl is the way to go!”

“Have you ever wished your local Bodega had more craft beer and organic sundries? This quaint little corner store is bountifully stoked to the brim with super good food. Although the after-school rush can get a little busy, the store is otherwise really easy to navigate, and you grab any quick thing you might need and avoid the long lines at Berkeley bowl. The staff are incredibly friendly and have an insider's knowledge on most of the foods they carry, often suggesting the absolute perfect accoutrement to any purchase. Parking is typically available. Also, don't pass on their soup or sandwiches... they always hit the spot.”

“Stopped by today for a few snack items. I got a banana and a yogurt drink for 3.99. The banana was fresh and the yogurt drink was good as well. The have a little section where they sell sandwiches and tamales. They have a wide variety of drinks and food items (both refrigerated, frozen, and dry). They also sell school supplies. I wish I had more time to look around but I will definitely visit again. Employees were kind and they take EBT!”

“I've shopped this market over many years. It's like a royalty among corner markets. Great inventory and selections, even in the produce area, good prices, other amenities on site, such as a good Deli section where they make your food to custom order, even an ATM that always works. And the folks working there have always been friendly and helpful with me.”
