The worst Safeway ever. I told a clerk about a dangerous looking metal bar sticking out at shin level in an aisle and she said, yeah it should have plastic bags on it, then she returned to stacking fruit. No concern whatsoever.
That and the chronically sour milk tells me that store is badly managed.

The most humiliating experience I've ever had in my life. I pay cash for my items using a $50.00 bill in the self-checkout. I receive my change, bag my items, and take my receipt. I am followed out the store by the clerk, ALANA, and in front of people outside spoken loudly to she says that I did not pay for all my items. Then I'm walked back inside so she can look in my bag because, now she says, her manager, ANN, said I didn't pay. I'm totally embarrassed at this point and humiliated. So all together I show them my receipt, I count my items and guess what, everything in the bag WAS paid for. NOT ONE APOLOGY. No acknowledgment of the humiliation.
I came into the store, after work, I'm dressed in a dress suit, pearls, and heels. Oh and I'm a BLACK WOMAN driving a $150k Mercedes!!! Do I look like I need to steal ANYTHING??? I'm furious right now. I'm hurt. And it is sad that black people are STILL being treated like this in America.

I just transitioned out of the army so I might be overreacting and it’s no one’s fault for not knowing that, but I am pretty skittish, yelling or slamming things tends to raise my heart rate. I try to keep to myself. I brought my things up to the cashier, I was trying to be friendly some of my things were scanned with another persons. I said oh those are mine. She pulled one of the deviders out and slammed it on the board. It launched me into a certain state, which is ok, I have to deal with these things, but then she started to discipline me; I felt so worthless for a second, then I asked if she was joking, she said she wasn’t. I walked away without my things. Had to leave,it was for the best that I just go. Only bad things happen when people yell and slam things like that so I just left. Didn’t even get my groceries. I won’t go back here. I’ll go somewhere else. I know this isn’t going to change things but, I can’t deal with people yelling or lighting me up for something so small. It’s probably petty of me to leave this message but I figure just writing about it will get it out of me and I won’t take it with me.

On hold for 10+ minutes. Rolled over to phone tree after ringing forever, requiring me to repeatedly hit 8 again for customer service. That’s a joke. Still on hold now - and recorded voice for the phone tree mispronounces Benicia every time they roll me over again. Quality service

I ordered a cake for my son's 9th birthday and unfortunately I was not pleased the cake was super sugary. Half of the cake was not eaten because most said it was super sweet, guests barely ate the piece given.

England, by Pe safeway cus,'tomer se,rvice phOn'e Num'ber ''8O5;3'O1 -7O(4)2;ter Green after he left the British blues band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Green had previously replaced guitarist Eric Clapton in the Bluesbreakers[11] and had received critical acclaim for his work on their album A Hard Road. Green had been in two bands with Mick Fleetwood, Peter B's Looners and the subsequent Shotgun Express (which featured a young Rod Stewart as vocalist),

Same as every Safeway. I am not just a big fan of the items in Safeway. Prices are high, but have sale. The prepared sandwiches are not very good

Easily the grossest grocery store I have ever visited. The egg section has YEARS of dried up egg yolks, feathers and dust in their refrigerated case. It was so nasty I didn't even want to take a picture. I left and bought eggs are Raleys. If corporate came in, they would be shut down temporarily to clean the place. This is a Warning before corporate is contacted AGAIN about cleanliness and health safety. Also Avoid Patrick at all costs. He stands around watching you bag items without offering help when there are ZERO checkers around. He's rude, condescending and disrespectful to costumers. Not the first or 5th time I've encountered this. Please do something to fix this store it's only 1 out of 2 in our town.

Love the checkers, BUT they never have enough at checkout. Benicia Safeway needs a new manager, then maybe I'd give more stars.

When I had a question about the advertised price of an item, I was informed by an employee that I had to use the Safeway APP to get the price as advertised when I am physically purchasing my items within the Safeway store. Excuse me!! The particular employee was emphatic that I needed to use their APP to get the advertised price. And you wonder why I pay Seven bucks to cross the bridge to shop at Trader Joe's in Concord?? The price differences on similar items at both stores is significant. In some cases Safeway prices are almost double as compared to TJ's. So Safeway can keep their APP to mislead in-store customers about their their two tier pricing.
