Great local SLV grocery store.

Literally the worst grocery store I have ever set foot in. I've never been desperate enough to spend the absurd amount of money they charge for "fresh" produce. And don't even bother opting for frozen veggies because the pickings are slim to none. Dairy free creamer? You'll spend your life savings and it'll still probably be rotten. Oh you want to check out with the items you managed to find, great! Too bad there's nobody working! Please sell this store to someone who cares, Ben Lomond is begging you.

Wonderful little grocery store. My wife and I shop here weekly and they have an excellent meat selection, fresh produce and relatively reasonable prices. Not sure why this place has such a low rating, so I wanted to add my 5 stars and share my frequent positive experiences there.

First off I added a star just because it was clean and organized and people were working diligently but the shopping experience wasn't very good for me and I'd rather hit up Wild Roots in Boulder Creek if I'm down that way from now on. The first customer experience killer for me is a pre-printed sign informing customers to walk to a nearby park to use a restroom. The other issue was everyone was working in the store but only 1 checkout open and no self checkout. It's 2023 so it totally feasible for the owners to invest in self checkout. Last thing was the Coolhaus ice cream sandwich was $7. I ended up just putting it back after learning the price. These typically retail for $5 and I've seen it for as low as $3.50 recently. Can't justify that being the manufacturers markup if it's sold for that much cheaper elsewhere. One closing mention is that I grew up in and around Ben Lomond as a small child and have great memories of Ben Lomond Super which is the old name and it's a quaint place but I feel it could be more modernized.

I go to Ben Lomond Market only in moments of pure desperation aka complete laziness and unwillingness to drive to Felton Safeway. Their shelves are bare more often than full, the produce is overpriced and wilted, finding an employee to assist in the deli is near impossible and the employees who work the check stand are dismissive and rude. It’s amazing to know that the same family owns Scotts Valley Market. The two stores are night and day from each other. My trips to Ben Lomond Market have grown further apart and I’m about done entirely.

Has everything. Specialty, pretty clothes, produce, grocery, full butcher dept w marinated chicken. Yay. The 4 star is, they marinate and prepackage chicken white meat and expensive beef/pork cuts. But they do not stock chicken dark meat, which is what I eat. It's less expensive, smaller pieces, better for me, etc.You can order ahead - but I prefer that it was just stocked, for my random visits. Cheers

Their deli is amazing and has become a sandwich go to for a few years. Fast and friendly is an understatement. Check them out.

They need to improve. Gave them several chances and there are still mistakes in charges, old food, bad smells and I did have pests in my pasta.

Service is not good. Found insects in my pasta box. Have been overcharged more than once. Have informed "management" but the response has not been satisfactory.

I like shopping at Ben Lomond Market more than some of the employees like working there. They appear to be overworked. Mostly polite but understaffed. The prices at the register is quite often not the same as the price listed on the shelves and the staff rarely has a solution. The staff has obviously been well trained on politeness and quickness but if you hold up the line to correct the price problem all the other training goes out the window. If I wasn't a cheapskate I would give them 4 1/2 stars!

I'm new to the SLV but am rapidly being won over by the Ben Lomond Market. Their selection of quality meats and vegetables is excellent, as is their good assortment of fine wines. I was surprised to discover such an upscale grocery store in a small town like BL but that's what makes the town so special. BL Market has become my favorite stop for a fresh deli sandwich -I had turkey with all the fixings (which was large enough to share with my husband) and was not disappointed. Add to that their very charming picnic tables and its the the perfect spot to beat the heat and enjoy a nice lunch! I always like to support small businesses and the locally owned and operated Ben Lomond Market has my endorsement - its a real gem!
