I did Gymboree 30 years ago with my daughter and wanted to give it a try with my one year-old grandson. After six months, I am so pleased to see the growth in large motor skills, music and socialization. The instructor, Mr Ryan, is wonderful and gives advice to assist with speech, motor development, and confidence. At the end of class there are bubbles and parachute time. Mr Ryan also plays the guitar for a cute song/dance experience.

Great place, my granddaughter has been coming here for about 4 months and has so much fun. Mr. Ryan is excellent with the kids. My granddaughter always has a great time with him and the kids. 5 stars

Tammie showed empathy and professionalism towards our daughter when an issue was raised. She listened and supported our requests and immediately responded. Although we will no longer be attending, I'm satisfied with how we were treated by her. Gymboree just wasn't for our daughter but it may be for your little one!

The lady who was there was awful. She forcefully pulled a toy out of my 2 year olds hand and made her cry on her birthday because “the activity was over”. And when I called to let them know they didn’t care at all. So rude. Unbelievable.

Teachers are amazing, my son loved the teacher’s singing and guitar playing. But I experienced one of the worst customer service by the owner.

Took my baby girl to this location a few times. I wasn't wowed but it gets the job done for kids to run around and play. The bathroom can definitely use better lighting. Also, The main reason I'm giving it a 2 star is because the floors tend to be a little dirty especially with female hair. My baby crawls with hair all over her and in between her toes. It's pretty gross!

We love it here! My baby joined at 5 months, he is now 10 months and we are continuing until he turns 2! He has learned how to crawl here, during class is where I discovered he had torticolis and much more! I bet he will earn to walk here very soon, Tammy is awesome and so is Mr. Ryan. You have to come to class it's amazing for babies but you also get to meet other parents. Trust me you'll love it!

Great place for drop in classes and pre-school classes called School skills. Teachers are fun and caring, indoor playground clean and sanitized hourly, attending children are friendly, lots of learning toys, very affordable. We left Gymboree to attend 2 different Montessori's when my daughter became 3 years old because we heard it was academically better, but teachers were cold and distant, and my daughter did not enjoy her time there. Each child's ideal learning environment is different. But I have to say, kids can't complain about nice caring teachers, and that defines teachers at Gymboree. My daughter and I have been going to AV Gymboree since she was 1 years old. I made friends with 2 Gymboree moms and 2.5 years later we are good friends. I read the other reviews and am surprised at billing issues. We stopped the first time because of COVID Spring 2020 and had no problems with credit card, they even credited our credit cards for classes we didn't use. Then we started again when schools reopened fall 2020. Later We stopped spring 2021 to try the 2 Montessori schools and again had no problems with billing. And then we came back again to Gymboree Summer 2021. Each time we left, we had no problems with billing. Owners were nice about us leaving and then welcomed us back when we started up again.

I didn't intend to write this review but come across the reviews written with 5 stars on this Gymboree place in Mission Viejo during the covid time, I feel like I should share my version of the experience to make sure other people don't make the same mistake I made. If you decide to let your kids join this place and provide them your credit card info for them to charge you monthly, at the time you want to stop, you must ask them to give you a form, fill it out, make a copy of it to keep a record before handing it back to them. E-mail, phone call and any other forms of communications with the on-site teacher/technician does not count. Again, you need to ask for a form and fill it out, else they will keep charging you monthly in full amount. My wife enrolled my 2 kids to the place. My daughter didn't like the indoor artificial environment with stuffy plasticky smell and thus I talked with the teacher/technician to quit the program. I thought everything was done until I checked my credit card balance a few months later. I e-mailed the owner Tammy on getting a refund. She was blunt replied back that the rule was stated on the application form. The money lost was a considerable amount, but I felt good that I sent my kids to this place for a few weekends only in the few months. What are the people they hired? How they clean the place, facility and toys? What chemicals they use? Since then, I have been sending my kids to the nearby playground to play. $0 fee, the walks to/from the park, fresh air & sunshine. What can be better doing and enjoying activities with the kids? If you are sending your kids to this Gymboree place in Mission Viejo or thinking to send, GOOD LUCK!

This place is wonderful. Ryan is amazing and so good with kids. I've met Jessica a few times too and her energy is wonderful too! I would totally recommend. My son feels way more confident walking now and being around other children because of Gymboree. I see a few reviews about the manager tammie and honestly I've had nothing but an amazing experience with her as well. Super easy to work with and so accommodating. Thank you, tammie! Thank you Gymboree!

I took my daughter to runner classes with Ryan and he did an incredible job! She absolutely loved his singing and playing guitar. She doesn't warm up to people easily and he made her feel very comfortable. We love this place! I had to cancel because we won't be able to make it for the next few months, but hope we can rejoin at a later date. I cancelled online and it was easy.

I started taking my daughter here about a month ago and I'm so glad I found this place! Due to COVID my daughter has been at home with grandma majority of the time. I've been looking for a safe and clean place for her to release her energy. She loves exploring all the structures in the play area. Adults wear their masks and socially distance themselves and staff members clean the play area after every session even if only one child was playing. I would recommend parents checking this gymboree location if they're ever in the area. You can try your first class for free too!

This review is solely based on the manager Tammie/scheduling/billing as we were not afforded the opportunity to attend a class. Reading other reviews there seems to be a pattern. You've been warned. After hearing about this place from a friend, I checked out their website and saw that they offer a "school skills" class and thought my 4 year old might enjoy this. I signed up for a "preview" class online (see the pic below). I noticed a few days later that my card was billed for $50! I immediately contacted the facility and spoke to Tammie. Now, since I have never been to this facility but they allow sign ups online, I trusted that the website had accurate and complete information (WRONG)!Apparently they don't offer previews of this class and it is a "drop off" style class (the website does NOT explain this, but she certainly could have). She COULD HAVE said, "I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding, there must be a glitch in our system. I'll gladly refund the money. Is there another class you'd like to try out instead?"...but alas, she did not. Instead, she was condescending and rude. Berating me for not knowing that it was a parent participation class and saying, "so, you thought you'd just stay with him for two hours?" "Umm, you put in your billing information, you didn't think you'd be charged?" I finally explained to her that none of this mattered, the simple fact was that I wasn't signing my kid up for a drop off class in a facility that I have never even stepped foot inside and that I would like the money refunded, she huffed and puffed and said she would do it. But...she didn't. So, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. When I received a letter from my credit card company declining my dispute and learned that she had the audacity to tell them that I DID attend the class!!! WHAT??? I of course called her back and inquired as to what happened. She replied..."well, we always defend a dispute, you understand that, right?" NOPE! Sure don't. As a small business owner myself who handles credit card billing daily...I am well versed in this process and NO, no Tammie, I will never understood that. She then proceeded to yell at me that I "didn't give a chance to refund the money because I disputed the charge." And started attacking me. Point being...even if the teachers and classes here are good, the billing system and customer service of he management is severely lacking! This could've been handled SO much better and we could have been invited in and possibly happy customers. Instead...here we are. Tammie was rude and condescending and instead of accepting responsibility and making any repair attempt to invite a new customer in, she was defensive and hostile and I wouldn't trust this place with any billing information unless you want a huge potential hassle on you.

Small class sizes, everything was very clean, temperatures taken at the door. My son was so excited to be back to play on all the equipment and climb.
