The owner Kang was very friendly and welcoming with her authentic customer service. We spent over an hour to pick what we wanted for our trip to my home country. She was so patient that she let us take our time and invited us cups of maple tea in the mean time. Also, she offered gifts after our purchases and didn't forget to wish me a safe trip. She is an incredible salesperson! Highly recommended!

This place is like a hidden gem in Steveston. From the doorstep, the owner greeted us and we enjoyed our time here. We could buy quite a lot of stuff with decent quality, indeed. Highly recommend!!!

Found great souvenir gifts for my German friends. Carries BC jade at really good price. Found amazing handcarved soapstone made in Canada. One side of store is usual nicknaks, but look on the shelves for serious canadian made native arts ( jade, soapstonne, wood carving, marble ).

A delightful and well-appointed gift shop in the charming Steveston district. Filled with vibrant Dickensian characters, a whimsical atmosphere, a knowledgeable staff and gifts to suit any occasion and level of taste, the Shooting Star has something for everyone. If you ever find yourself wandering this quaint harbor town in search of a rhinestone hat, stickers (which the shopkeep knew plenty about), a novelty shotglass, or plastic snowglobe, look no further- as when you wish on *this* Shooting Star, all your dreams just might come true.

Great little gift shop with many little cool things and reasonably priced.@Lauren Brewer. Why would you leave a negative comment when you based on how busy the place was? I went in there, off peak hours wnd and it was just me and my wife for 20 min while in there. Ridiculous review.

Really crowded gift shop just packed full of 'made in china' souvenirs. I walked in, asked if they had stickers and was immediately told "no". Even though after a minute more in the store I found stickers. They also don't take a credit card for smaller purchases even though there isn't a sign for it. So I ended up overpaying with US cash.
