Desert Rain is a beautiful gift shop that's constantly bringing in new products. I've been shopping here for over 5 years. Staff is always friendly and there's unique products for many gifting occasions. They have products for birthdays, Christmas, teachers, friends, graduations, and of course, for self pampering. ?

We met Caroline, the owner, she is a fantastic young women. Support local businesses! Really cute shop. They have unique stuff as well as typical gift shop stuff but I especially liked their hummingbird items. The store I on the min strip and is well taken care of. Didn't take photos!

It's a great little shop with lots of mugs both locally made & your typical kitschy souvenir mugs. We chose a beautifully locally made dragonfly mug to add to our collection. We found out the maker of the mugs husband is terminal, which of course pulled at our heartstrings & wanted us to support locally even more, but honestly I can't tell if that was the sales lady's way of trying to make a sale or she was genuinely concerned. Also buyer beware, she said the mug was $38 but after taxes it cost us almost $44 and as far as I know Kamloops only has 12% tax like the rest of BC so the math clearly didn't add up. While I'm happy to support local businesses, I wish I had bought the mug at another vendor we visited earlier who was selling mugs from the same artisan.

They carry a variety of different gifts. Most things you can't find anywhere else. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. The service was excellent. The staff always goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful! The shopping experience is always pleasant and enjoyable!

They carry a variety of quirky gifts for infants to adults. Actually did much of my Christmas shopping in this store and quite enjoyed it. It was an inviting setting where I could browse comfortably for as long as I wanted to and the service was excellent! The owner was just lovely and went out of her way to make my shopping experience pleasant and enjoyable!
