Mechanic did not want to change oil on vehicle. Said bolt was stripped and was out of oil. Office manager had to explain how to get some oil.

I'm in error. Last week, I posted a not so kind review condeming LS Automotive for the work they petformed on my Honda Ridgeline. Yes my engine was ruined due to a mechanic's error. I'm a retired contractor from California and Yes errors due happen. In my 30+ years mistakes were made. Stand by them and make it/ them right. Well they called within that day with this unfortunate information and promised a replacement with a remanufactured motor with a 5 year unlimited miles warranty. I read up on a remanufactured engine and was convinced that this was the direction to go . I have driven this Ridgeline since and I can tell you that it drives and runs just as advertized. Given this, I was wrong in my intial review. LS Automotive stood by their work and promise.Jim

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband was scammed after having his truck at this shop for over a month! The owner does not know what he’s doing & couldn’t figure out how to fix my husbands truck. Then lied to us & was going to let my husband drive off with things unplugged ect! They do not care about you at all they just take your money! They also have zero problem screwing over an 100% disabled veteran! $1000 gone & we do not have the money to continue to fix it anymore. We contacted BBB & will resort to legal action!

Awesome and honest mechanic! On Jan 4 I visited this garage and left a bad review because I paid for a diagnostic on my car, was told nothing was wrong, but I could feel it shake when I drove it so I knew something was wrong. Today, the owner's sister (who works there and is knowlegeable and very helpful) asked for me to return to the garage at my convenience so the owner could look at the car himself. I was impressed that he had seen the review and that he had reached out, so I went back. He drove the car, felt the vibration, and did a full diagnostic himself. He found the problem and stayed very late to fix it so I could have it back same day. He even showed me the part that was broken and explained to me what it was doing to my car which was very much appreciated. I have never had a company reach out like this before and care so much about ensuring a positive experience for me. It matters to the owner that the cars that are worked on at his shop are fixed correctly. I cannot explain how relieved I am to have my car fixed and to have found such a great mechanic shop and all around good people. I will be returning here for anything else to do with my car and recommending it to others as well. LJs auto shop deserves all the 5 star reviews it has. Thanks!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

50/50 on my experience here. They seemed nice, upfront, and honest about pricing and needed repairs which was nice; especially considering the $1.6K worth of work I needed to have done to my vehicle. I needed an oil change, new tires mounted, washer pumps serviced, and A/C compressor maintenance. The work done on the washer pumps and A/C compressor seems to be solid, no issues since.However, when I picked up my vehicle I noticed there were some issues which didn’t inspire confidence in the shop’s skill and attention to detail. When driving I noticed that there was a speed-variable dragging noise with the windows down. Turns out that stickers were left on my newly installed tires, creating loads of road noise. The biggest issue though, was the fact that my steering wheel (when driving straight) was tilted 45 degrees to the left after steering column work and a simple tire change. They let me drive off the lot with this symptom, no warning/heads-up. When I called to let them know something was wrong, they insisted that the tire change threw off my steering 45 degrees, and that it had nothing to do with the steering work. They let me know that I would need an alignment to correct the issue, which they don’t do, so I would have to take my vehicle somewhere else to correct the issue they caused. Again, they let me drive off the lot with no information about any of this initially.The alignment shop I used commented that the amount of variation in my steering was considerable and beyond a simple tire change (confirming my suspicions) and that my steering column was likely installed incorrectly. Thank goodness my rack, pinions, and tie rods had enough room to correct with a simple alignment.Overall, I think they could do a much better job communicating with customers and ensuring that the job is done right the first time. I wouldn’t expect this quality of work on a $1.6K auto bill. Alternately, but also frustrating due to the other issues… it was clear that the staff smoke quite a lot of cigarettes, not an issue beyond the fact that my car still smells faintly of smoke a couple weeks later despite having a leather interior. I’m not sure if they smoked inside my vehicle or nearby, but as a non-smoker it’s very noticeable.

The lady up front is very nice mad sure we were comfortable while waiting and when we didn't have a ride home and the car was not drivable she gave us a ride home
