I'm sure the coconut balsamic and raspberry balsamic I bought are fine. I was hoping for a bit more of an experience since there was so much there an I know so little about it. The gentleman didn't seem very approachable. It was a sunday so maybe he was unhappy to work on a weekend. The place is a little hard to find as it is amongst other businesses tucked near the back.

Alfonso’s carries olive oil and vinegar from around the world. This is my go to store for great finishing oils and vinegars, which includes a variety of flavor profiles.
If you want food to taste amazingly good, you need to use an amazingly good oil or vinegar. This is what you will find at Alfonso’s.
I learned about this company when one of my favorite restaurants had their oil and vinegar bottles on the table for their paleo bowl. (Ok. The name of the restaurant is Trident.) The oil and vinegar is so delicious, I had to buy some for myself.
To my surprise, I found Alfonso’s is local to Tucson (as are the Trident restaurants) and also offers shipping.

The reputation of Alfonso's oil and vinegar shop for quality is top notch. I finally made it into the shop and was impressed by the quantity of variety, the knowledge of employees and the customer service by the staff. I purchased a dark vinegar that I tasted and can't wait to use it on my salad tonight! I look forward to coming back to stock my pantry!

Let me tell you what a treat it was taking a field trip to this location. The go to place if you're an olive oil / vinegar connoisseur or a group of chefs tapping into new flavors to pair with amazing future dishes. Exceptional varieties of infusions available with descriptions on each one and you're able to sample before you buy. They also have a great pairing list to help give ideas. Other treats are available for purchase such as gourmet olives, pastas, sauces, cookies, cookbooks, gorgeous charcuterie accessories, herbs and spices, and some housewares. Great customer service and attention, amazing atmosphere. I definitely recommend stopping in here before building your next charcuterie board.

Absolutely amazing olive oil and service! Couldn't be more impressed with the quality and flavors of each single origin olive oil. Can't buy anything better than Alfonso's.I highly recommend trying some of the infused olive oils. All of them are great and make a special addition to your meal of choice. The balsamics are great as well and are a good addition to plain yogurt so you can have any flavor you want.Alfonso's is a great place to grab a nice gift for anyone. Anything from accessories to nice olive oil for adding to meals. They also label the biophenols, oleic acid, squalane, and more. This is great for those wanting to make a choice based on a particular health promoting factor vs those just going off taste.Once you try high grade single origin olive oil you won't go back to the junk at the stores. Honestly I can't even get olive oil from other shops because the quality is noticably lacking.

Alfonso has, by far, the best variety of olive oils and flavored balsamics in Tucson. Olive wood smoked oil is extraordinary and great for salads or as a dipping oil for bread. Blood Orange oil is a wonderful replacement in cakes, cookies, and waffles. I could go on and on and on. During this visit, I also purchased 3 balsamics, including my new favorite--Maple balsamic! Yum!

The selection of oils and vinegars is outstanding. I always have to have aged balsamic vinegar in my pantry, particularly the 18 or 25 yr old vinegar - thick and sweet. Strawberries drizzled with it or chocolate balsamic drizzled over berries and ice cream. There are so many olive oils and so many flavored oils. I usually like a quality oil for dipping, salad dressings and to splash in a morning smoothie. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and can guide you to your favorite or let you try something new for your next dish. There are also seasonings and kitchen accessories that would look beautiful in your kitchen. Unfortunately, we are full time RV travelers so I tried not to look at all the pretties. I encourage anyone who likes tasting oils and vinegars or who are curious about more than grocery store oils and vinegars, go to Alfonso's and make an afternoon of it. You won't ne sorry.

I've been getting olive oil from Alphonso's for years and just realized I've never left them a review. This place is awesome! Every time I go I. There the staff offers to take me on a little sampling tour. I love food and cooking so I'm always enthusiastically willing to try anything they offer. Their infused olive oils are particularly good for me because I have some digestive system issues. I can get a pepper infused oil and make a fish spicy without the gastric distress. Same for citrus infused oils and more. I've also tried many vinegars from them. It's all be incredible. Great local place for buying gifts too. They give you your purchase wrapped in colorful paper and in a cute little bag. Definitely worth the trip!
