I'm very disappointed to say the least. I this was my 3rd visit at this salon. My 1st two visits I was pleased with my cut, they were done by a different stylist. My hair is short and I don't require much done to it. I don't ask for anything special besides just a shape up and a few layers to lighten it up. This last time I went, I booked with a stylist whose starting rate was $55. My appointment was two weeks later, and I was unaware her rates jumped up to $70!!! I can tell you right now my hair cut was not $70 worth. And to top it off she only spent like 15 minutes cutting it and I feel it looks uneven no matter how I try to style it. I may as well have gone to great clips.

Sad and frustrated to some extent. I went there 2nd time and tried to get a blunt bob. The stylist couldn't not make both sides even. Now one side of hair stays up. The money I have to spent on transport and the stylist fee is not worth it. I really liked the place from my first visit. Now I have to find another salon.

I had the pleasure of working with Addie yesterday afternoon. She was very professional and fun to work with. She listened to all of my concerns and listened very well to exactly what I wanted. I had a partial highlight/lowlight that involved a bit of color correction. Thank you for making me feel beautiful!!!

Super friendly staff very quick to help you at the front desk and a very beautiful salon with open spacing but still private feeling when you're in your chair. In a cute little plaza that has a good amount of parking.

Atmosphere of a high end salon with the results of a beauty school. I've come here multiple times and have had an okay experience, but I always leave pretty unsatisfied with my hair. This last time I asked for a few face framing highlights and to just mildly lighten it up a bit, and they charged me for a full highlight (?? Not what I asked for) plus my hair looked terrible and all orange/washed out. (See inspiration then before/after) You're better going somewhere else! The cuts are okay but that's about it.

I struggle giving two stars. And that would have mostly been for the time this hairstylist spent on doing my daughter's hair. Which is also a negative. I have never spent 5 hours getting my hair done. Or getting my 16 yr old daughter's hair done, which is long. But never has it taken anyone over 3 hrs to do her hair. That said, I had to immediately take her back in and have her bangs fixed as they were choppy. The stylist said it's just about how you style it. I wish I had taken a pic. That had nothing to do with how it's styled. I shuzshed them and they were choppy. And not an artistic choppy, which I could appreciate. A choppy that I would have never thought should be presented as acceptable. The back length is uneven. It's the first thing my 24 yr old noticed. The color/highlights are uneven on both sides. More blonde on one than the other. The bangs are even more blonde. My daughter is horrified. She wants me to fix the bangs and the brightness, because what I told the stylist was that she likes it to be more natural looking. It is not natural looking at all. I mean I hate to put such a negative review, but if you have a new stylist that takes almost twice as long and needs guidance on tone and cutting, maybe she needs more time practicing and not charging over $200 for practice time. It should have been told to me up front before the appt that she is a brand new stylist. I appreciate you getting us in on a cancellation, but now I have to take her in elsewhere and get this fixed. And she has to go to an event tomorrow embarrassed about her hair!

Holly is awesome. She is extremely knowledgeable on color theory and everything else cosmetology related. I very highly recommend Altered Ego salon to anyone needing either a simple haircut or a complete transformation. This was definitely the best salon experience I have had in my life thus far. I left feeling like a million bucks. Holly even showed me how to bring out my curls which I didn't even know was possible. I could also tell that every employee who worked there loved what they do, excellent vibes overall. Will definitely be back.

Alter Ego, a warm and inviting salon, stands out for its friendly atmosphere, avoiding the aloofness of fancier establishments. The open-armed welcome is a refreshing touch. Addie, my hairstylist, was exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth, creating a comfortable experience. The salon's homey vibe, adorned with plants and modern decor, enhances the overall ambiance. I look forward to returning to Addie and appreciate Alter Ego for making me feel truly welcomed.
