So disappointed - terrible deli food!

After experiencing difficulty receiving a digital coupon offer, as a Safeway club member at check out. I went to the Customer Service desk and asked for assistance. I was finally greeted by a lady who was not able to assist me. She called someone who she said was “In Charge” and that person who was a rude “RUDY”, finally came downstairs from his chair and didn’t even ask what he could do to help. Rude RUDY, simply walked toward me and stated…. “If you don’t have your phone with you and with the APP on it, you’re not getting the discount!” I responded, “the club membership is in my wife’s name and she’s at home”… He said, “You have to have the app on your phone and in the store!”
Then he walked back upstairs to play on his phone I guess?
Simply put, they don’t offer customer service and they are always shorthanded. That do have some wonderful people working the front of the store. But, I will now be spending more time at the Bashas in town. Since, they can not provide a professional person in charge at the front of the store.
They apparently don’t need my business because this is a tourist town. But, they will be wondering where the business is when the tourism dies down out of seasons. This type of unprofessional conduct will unfortunately and eventually take its toll!
I called the Safeway corporate office and made a complaint. The corporate person said the DM would be in touch… Crickets!!! Nuttin but Crickets!!
This new way of conducting business is sour, unattractive and unprofessional. I have no interest in remaining a customer regardless of their aggressive ad activity.

Two employees tried to use their car or themselves to cause an "accidentally on purpose" event as SOON as I entered the lot and when you call them out, that they're on camera & CCTV all the women and secret shoppers follow you and call the cops. Problem is I KNOW THE RESPONDING OFFICER; WHAT THIS STORE DOES TO PEOPLE IS FELONIOUS HARASSMENT.
This is what's wrong with the country. "Strong independent women" are just obnoxious Provocatuers at this store. Way to "Support our troops" ?

Safeway and there employees where lovely the Lady I believe her name was Angie or something like that working at Starbucks on Friday after 6-7-24 was absolutely horrible so rude and nasty so disappointing to be on vacation and have to experience such An encounter when normally Starbucks is very friendly.

Perfectly fine grocery store, but they were pretty expensive (which I suppose is to be expected) and the self-checkout was malfunctioning and making things difficult

You have an exemplary employee in Ron, one of your grocery cashiers at the Sedona store. He is why I come to Safeway Sedona, he is the perfect example of what makes a town grocery store, a HOMETOWN grocery store. He cares about his customers, with his heart! He made a huge impact on me with his caring heart, his personalized customer service and he has a great pork roast recipe to boot! What an incredible employee!

Waiting in line at cashier one for about ten minutes . at 1:50 today.. she just put up the cord that closes off the line up without saying a word.., what?? Why don’t you tell people you are closing so they don’t wait there.
Customer service is unhelpful, no other staff to ask re products etc. We would never shop here unless I was desperate.
Worst Safeway experiences here.

On Holiday in Sedona and this was my first visit here. It was quite pleasant. The store was very clean, well laid out and the employees were all very friendly.

10 stars to the manager Greg he is so cool and helped me tremendously with my huge Instacart order for a business. He was super busy but he even had time to talk to me like a person and I thanked him multiple times. People need to be more grateful for our retail workers. He would do anything for anybody just because. The other managers and associates were very cool and helpful. Super busy store but the staff gets it done. I would love to shop here personally if I lived nearby.
