This location always has excellent customer service! Had a dead battery in my X5 and brought it in today. When I arrived Sam took care of me & even ordered me a complimentary Uber back home, instead of waiting at the shop. When I picked it up this evening, my car drove like new again! Highly recommend!

I needed regular car maintenance, an oil change, and a long trip check for an upcoming road trip. Sun Devil Auto is everything you want your neighborhood auto shop to be (even though they're part of a chain)... the Chandler Heights Village team is professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and helpful. Andrew was exceptional and a great customer point-of-contact: he identified what I needed and kept me updated on the progress and costs on the day of service. While I was onsite, they were training a new member of the staff, and I was impressed by everyone's willingness to help and support the new employee. The team did a great job on my vehicle, and I enjoyed interacting with them. I will be back.

Use caution. I've gone to Sun Devil for awhile now for oil changes, and while I've had issues with the filter not being tightened all the way and them stripping the drain plug they've always done right. Today the service definitely didn't feel done right. I brought my truck in to replace the Steering Gearbox due to a severe leak. Marcus the service writer told me a labor cost when I dropped the truck off but said he would call me before doing any work to discuss total pricing as he didn't know what part would need to go on the truck. When I heard back from Marcus I told him it was to much and to not change it, to which he replied "Oh you want me to put your old gearbox back on?" Turns out he didn't call me before starting work and it would cost me almost $500 to get my truck back with the leaking gearbox. Rather than being out additional money I agreed to the proposed replacement, at the end of which he informed me that they required an alignment at an additional cost of $130 that wasn't discussed to warranty the work. When I went to pick up the truck I inquired about the parts installed and the cost of them as the prices for everything seemed high. Turns out they installed a gearbox that can be purchases across multiple sites for $230 but charged $400. When asked why the price was so much more he could only respond with "we're a business and we have to make money" He walked away while I still had questions and left the other service writer to answer my questions, thankfully he is a very nice guy. Long story short for a job with a book time of 2.2 hours I paid over $500 in labor and paid almost 2x the price for parts. I would recommend if you need any work outside an oil change to look elsewhere for a shop that is more transparent and more reasonable on costs.

Needed a new transmission & Sun Devil worked with my car warranty on having it replaced. The process was very smooth & Mike was a huge help to making sure everything was taken care of, follow up calls & making sure my vehicle was returned by date of completion.
I'll def be back for additional services!

They did a great job on my 2016 ford F150. They even followed up a week later to see how I was doing. I highly recommend them and will use them for all my future needs
