I bought flowers from their mix-and-match deal, expecting a nicely arranged bouquet. Unfortunately, the florist didn’t even bother to cut the stems or arrange the flowers together. She simply left the flowers in their original packaging and wrapped them, which felt very low-effort and disappointing. Definitely not the level of service I was hoping for.

I decided today that I will not stop at this location any longer. I stop on my way to work most mornings to get needed items while I wait for my bus. The last few mornings their secret shopper follows me from when I enter the store until Ieave. I understand the need to have secret shoppers, but I don't think it is necessary to follow people that you can see have not shoplifted while there are undesirable people that grab the bags of chips they have right by the exit door and just walk out among other things.

Love those size and location of this Safeway! Huge selection of products, virtually everything you could need and more. It's easy to get to either driving or taking transit. Both the LRT and the bus have stops conveniently located beside an enormous parking lot, should you choose to drive. The staff are very knowledgeable and always eager to help out when needed. One of the best ones in the city hands down!

Wow blown away by the staff here. I had a bottle of olive oil break and spill all over my groceries while going to my car. I was super embarrassed but the staff there were quick to help. Helped me rebag everything and put my worries at ease. They even replaced everything that was covered in oil. Way to turn my crappy morning into a happy one. Thank you so much.

Asked for a price match at checkout, the cashier stated they didn't do price matches and that meat is weighed and paid for the pound, very condescendingly. I'm well aware of how meat is sold and I was attempting to get them to match the per pound price.
I said okay, and that I didn't want the item and left the checkout, she huffed and slapped her hand on her till as I walked away.
No need to be rude to a customer asking for a price match. Just a simple we don't price match would've sufficed. It was not as though I was angry or attempted to push the issue. If you don't, you don't.
I won't be back.

The Safeway is one that's close to my house and it's one that I've always used. I like the new renovations that they've done. There's a wider selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Their meat department is very good here as well

Prices of items are not as affordable as their competitors such as walmart and Real Canadian superstores.
