Used to shop here all the time because it was affordable and you could find pieces no one else had. They started price matching all their clothing that they receive FOR FREE. It’s ridiculous. $50 for used carhartts with stains…are you joking. If I wanted to pay prices like that I would get them brand new. Someone needs to talk to their pricing people and get this fixed. It’s a thrift store. Everything is well beyond used and they’re charging full price.

The store is fine for what it is. Been shopping here for years. When they removed the fitting rooms, I got told that customers could try on clothing in the isles but not the bathroom. They offer exchanges on clothing, but they don't do refunds. And being that the store is mostly clothing, I still have no idea why they took out the fitting rooms. Just a bunch of excuses. The main ones being covid and theft. Like this can't somehow be resolve. Yet the employees were very happy about the removal of the fitting rooms. As far as cleanliness, customer service, and all around visit to the store ... it is a very good store to shop in. However, they did remove the registers. Now it is self checkout. This can be both good and bad for business. The unfortunate part is that a lot of people simply dislike self checkout. Which causes loss in business.
I give 4 store because as good as thore itself is, it still lacks 3 important issues. One is the fitting rooms. That alone is a problem. People simply don't want to have to purchase something on the hope it will fit and then have to keep returning it till something does fit. That alone is a headache. Two, is the register. Many people simply don't want to hassle with a machine. That is why companies are supposed to have cashiers. This is just pure laziness on the stores part. And three, is in all the years I have shopped here, I have never once seen an employee out on the sales floor. Only at the front end. I am certain someone stocks the floor. But you very rarely ever see anyone.

Great atmosphere ... Vast product selection ... Very friendly & personable customer service ... I shop there frequently ... I love the fact that they have 50% off of different colored tag sales all the time … I love the Supersavers Rewards Program, the coupons they give out for donations no matter how big or small of a contribution that you make, EXTREMELY happy about the 30% off of everything for Senior citizens who are 55 years old & up every Tuesday … Their prices are fairly decent on most items … Can be a little pricey on higher-end items … I would give them a 5* rating if they stayed open until 9:00 pm during the winter season, had open dressing rooms, again and gave you access to the digital coupons via text, like they do in their emails … And I love getting text messages about upcoming sales events …

Management here is awful. All the good managers have moved on. The previous store manager wasn't great, but this one is worse. Prices are outrageous. There are no fitting rooms and the employees aren't paid enough (you see that in how the customers are being treated). A few of the employees are nice. Oh, did I mention that management is awful??
If you want a better thrifting experience go check out Goodwill. They have two different color sale tags every week. 50% off and 75% off.
Or go to a local one like Turn A Leaf next to the Post Office. Or Thrifter's Rock across from SBS. (Both located in Wasilla.)

I lost my keys in the pant aisle a couple days ago and let me tell you, the staff and management were extremely helpful in finding them. Even as we were approaching the end of business hours, they kept searching relentlessly throughout the entire store to ensure my keys were found before they closed so I can get back home. The store manager even took the time to look through surveillance footage to. As I begin to believe they were gone for good, one of the associates ended up finding and returning them to me immediately as I was outside waiting for a cab to unlock my car. Great place with exceptional customer service. Thank you Value Village staff for your phenomenal efforts of attending to my concerns!

what kind of thrift store doesn’t have changing rooms?? and then doesn’t do returns/refunds? all while they’re charging 10x more than they should be? employees are also incredibly rude. they all stand around self checkout accusing people of stealing, instead of opening a register. this place is ruining thrifting.

Lady behind the glass counter rudely told a couple that were just minding their own business to move out of the way to let me look at the glass case even though I could see just fine. They were both nice and apologized to me even though they did nothing wrong. I later heard her bad mouthing the couple again as I was leaving. She was very disrespectful and ill-mannered for absolutely no reason and made not only the couple feel bad, but I as well. Terrible experience, and that's not even getting into the even worse prices. Not what I am looking for from any establishment.

I used to buy most of my clothing here, but since they removed the dressing rooms I shop elsewhere. AND the hiked prices ($20+ for USED jeans)!? Really? When I can buy BRAND NEW jeans at Old Navy, Target and WalMart for that price why would I ever buy used here? And the fact that you can’t try anything on. Sure you can return the item for store credit, but you’re still out the money. And the credit has to be used that day.As much as I like thrift storing this has ruined a big part of it and lost my sales.

Since they have started locking the bathrooms, the cleanliness of them has somehow become worse. There are frequently people sleeping in the stall when I try to go which is really frustrating when you need to go #2.Not bad to shop at but the cleanliness of the restroom alarms me every time.

I hate to say it but this place has gone downhill in every aspect. Management is horrible, pricing has gotten ridiculous to where it isn't "thrift store prices". I mean........you pay $30 for a pair of USED jeans that you can't try on btw, so when you take them home and try them on just to find out they don't fit, you bring them back but you don't get a refund, NO, you gey store credit Instead!?!? To me that is wrong in every way. Also, if something doesn't have a tag on it and you want, you can't ask them to put a new one, you have to wait until it goes through the pricing process and hope to find it the next day. I thought this place was all about the community but it just doesn't give that voice anymore..... it's kinda sad. It really shows what this world is coming to. They need a total revamp

We went with the intention of donating items, however the attendant was very snappy and rude and wouldn’t take anything in our truck as it wasn’t “new in the box” so we took our business elsewhere.
