Dr. Smothers is a wonderful and compassionate veterinarian. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pets. Thank you for all that you do!

This place is a joke. I run a rescue and the Birmingham area and one of the cats I rescued went to Huntsville to a foster. Oct 25th he went to Mann and saw Ashley Smothers and she said he wasn’t blocked and gave him meds and sent him home. I’m glad the foster was o her game and reported to me that he was still yowling and in pain. I drove up early Sat morning and brought him back to Birmingham to my vet and within 10 mins he showed me he was completely blocked and had to get an emergency catheter in. Be careful of this clinic having a misdiagnosis like this could’ve cost my cat his life.

Dr. Mann is hands down the best vet in the Hampton Cove area. We brought our dog in for a mass on his leg, and Dr. Mann worked us in the same day to biopsy it and give us a diagnosis. You can tell he cares for his patients and will take the extra effort to ensure he has an accurate diagnosis.

Had an urgent need for help with my cat. Called late in day and they got me right in!! She’s having surgery this AM and I feel she’ll have the best care. Cost was reasonable also! Thank you so much!! PS. Doing great after surgery !!

I have been a customer here for going on 5 years, and it’s always such a great experience. Dr. Mann is so chill and good at what he does. The place is always organized and getting stuff done. This place is a well-oiled machine.

We are new to the dog world and have a 10 month old standard poodle. The staff has been very patient & kind with us as we ask a lot of newbie questions (lol). Within the first couple months of ownership we had a few minor but worrisome things happen for a new pet owner and each time the staff was thoughtful and thorough (cherry eye, hernia, cryptorchidism, neutering, incision irritations). Our guy has stayed a week at the boarding and did great! I felt like they took good care of him and were sweet. Also, the groomer Laura is so sweet and kind and took a lot of time to talk with me about the process of grooming with him having some matted hair. Laura had our big guy looking so dapper and handsome with a summer cut and he is now tangle free.

Very kind and understanding staff. They helped my Scout not have to suffer anymore. Having to let go of a beloved pet is a tragedy. Dr Mann and his staff were very compassionate.

Brought my 5 month old yorkie in for a routine check up. Didn’t have to wait too long, staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Doctor and vet tech were very knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised at the bill.
Now I’ll be trying them for grooming next. But so far I’m very happy with them!

I think it's a great Veterinary Clinic. Staff is always friendly and attentive. They are a bit over priced in comparison to my main Vet but they are close to my house so it's easier.
This time was just for a heartworm test before I restarted Simbas mediction considering it's getting warmer.
Last time he was sick and I felt they didn't examine him enough and only went by the symptoms I was able to relay to them. Simba isn't the easiest dog for anyone but me to examine but I am not a vet and feel they should've done a thorough exam considering the symptoms were fairly serious at least in my opinion. He's still not doing as well as he should but to pay another examination fee for the same issue, I just can't bring myself to do it.
They are good people there and very friendly, I just wish they spent more time with my dog and doing an exam. I don't believe the time before last they ever actually touched him. Either way, I'm not trying to be negative and should've probably spoke up then but didn't want to seem overbearing or like I knew better because I obviously do not. Just not sure I could make a diagnosis without ever examining the patient off just what the owner said.

Things done to my animal without my approval. I was told the wrong thing when asked a question. Very unprofessional. And charged me for a medicine for something my animal didn’t even have!!! Not cool!!!
