This place used to be so good but they have gotten slower and less efficient as the years have passed. Took the family dog for a checkup and routine tests today. Appt at 2:30, at 3:25 with no explanation of the delay and without seeing anyone except the young woman running the front office I and my dog left and went home. My and my dog's time is important to us too. I hope they get back on track, I used to really like this place.

Their care for Tater Tot like she is their own. She runs to the door to get her belly rubbed. All of the staff take their time to answer every question. I could not ask for a better place to take Tate.

I've been using Small Animal Clinic on Hillcrest for 23 years now. The whole staff is kind and compassionate. I can't imagine anyone else taking care of my pet family.

Wonderful vets and staff. They’ve treated all of our fur babies, both dogs and cats, with great care and attention.

Wanted to take my dog back alone! What were they going to do a parent could not see!? Absolutely unacceptable! I can only assume they are abusive since they did not want to be observed!

Would have given 4 stars had they discussed prices before giving injections and filling prescriptions. I love my dog very much but I am on a tight tight budget. I can’t afford a $300 bill when I have to pay utilities in the same week. I have never been to a vet that filed the medicine first and gave injections amd then asked us back in the room. It makes me wonder. We went even allowed back untilAfter the exam and after they gave meds. Had I known I would have stated I wouldPick up the $83 ear ointment next week.

The vet was great however I called around ahead of time for price quotes I was quoted 25.97 before tax for a wellness check the day of making the appointment I asked the receptionist a wellness check is 25.97 before tax right? She said if that's what you were quoted for yes. This morning when I came for the appointment the bill was $ 116 of course my baby ended up needing medicine but it still shouldn't have been so much I asked the receptionist how much the services were being it was so much she told me it would say on my receipt when I got my receipt for the visit it said $56 when I asked why it was so much when I was quoted differently on the phone dec. 28th they apologized and said the new girl must have told me the wrong info. They said I had already paid and there was nothing they could do about it. It sounded like a lie to me. I should also mention it was the same receptionist that told me if i was quoted for 25.97 before tax thats what it would be. I'll be letting them treat my dog only because follow up appointments are $36 and they did help me figure out what was wrong with her I feel like I was misled and taken advantage of I did ask for a breakdown before I paid but she implied it would be on the receipt then when I asked about it they couldn't do anything? if they would've given me the correct estimated price I would've taken my dog elsewhere and next time I will. Like I said in the beginning the veterinarian himself does do a good job as far as what I saw. I get that were all human and make mistakes but I do feel like they could've still fixed it or atleast tried to.

I was evacuating with my dog and our condo didn’t allow dogs. This clinic had an availability and they were outstanding! My sweet pup Magnolia was taken good care of! They even offered to bathe her and trim her nails before pick up! Very impressed!!! Thank you!!!

Experience seemed like haggling with heckling marketers, not a family/patient centered clinic. I set an appointment for my dog to get neutered, which was relatively expensive at ~400$, compared to neuters in general and locally but they did say they would need to keep him overnight to monitor after the procedure. I assumed with the cost, my pet would get the best care and they would be on top of everything. He was ready the next day and the bill included a rather overpriced cone. They said he had ripped out his stitches so they stapled him and put the cone on while keeping him overnight. They didn't secure the cone with any of the straps through the slots on it and when we had gotten home he easily and quickly took it off and ripped out his staples. I called to let them know and that I needed to bring him back. They stated the vet was gone so he could stay overnight until seen in the morning. I went to pick him up the next morning and they charged me another bill, ~70$. I asked for the breakdown and a receipt, and it was a charge solely for 6 month shots (my dog is 1 year old.) I told them I am picking my dog up who I had just dropped off for a neuter and re-suture, not for 6mo shots. The tech went to the back and came back a few minutes later and said "ok we fixed it," and gave me a bill for $140. Surprised, I asked for a breakdown and reasoning the bill just went up from a few minutes ago. She didn't know and went to the back again. Another person came up and said they just gave 6 month shots while they were at it. I asked why I hadn't gotten any update of it or why I wasn't asked if he had gotten them elsewhere when he was 6months old? This second person went to the back and returned and said "oh, we did it during the neuter and forgot to file and charge you at the first time" not even answering my question. This whole experience through each of the visits seemed entirely unprofessional.

Took a trip for a week and needed to board our 2 dogs. Both between 40-50lbs. I called around and felt like I got the best prices/best customer service when I called Small Animal Clinic (we have never used Small Animal Clinic before this). Went and toured the facility on Hillcrest before boarding. Was very pleased with the cleanliness, size of the boarding area, and the fact that they could be boarded together in the same run. Boarding them together was extremely important since they are always together at home, and I thought this would make them the most comfortable. When it was time to drop our dogs off to be boarded, the staff was really patient with our dogs; they were scared since it was a new environment. I felt relieved when I dropped them off because I knew they were in good hands. I called twice during vacation to get updates and the staff provided me with many details. Picked our dogs up and the invoice was exactly as I expected; no surprises! Our dogs were well taken care of while at Small Animal Clinic for 5 nights. We will be using Small Animal Clinic for all of our pets needs in the future. Kim, Dawn, and the rest of the staff are very easy to work with, friendly, and patient.

Great vets and staff! Worked here 15 years ago and started using them then and I'll never stop! They have reasonable prices and they will work with you on payments. Plus the staff really care about the patience both four legged and furry and two legged and not.I recommend this place to everyone I know and have done so for years.

I have 5 cats and have been to many different vets and offices over the years. This is by far one of my favorites. They are fast, professional and have went out of their way to help me on a couple occasions now. The staff is friendly and the vets are knowledgeable and caring. They will have my business from now on.

Great Dr. And great staff, I get overly concerned and paranoid with my little Bella and they not only take care of her but help assure me that she's fine and that I am also going to be ok
