“ON WINE TIME! I was invited to a function for Children's of Alabama. The function took place at Classic Wine Company. Honestly it is so shocking that I had never been to this shop before. As I used to work in homewood and be in and around that area plenty of times. The function included a wine tasting. Josh (owner) and a few others did a fantastic job guiding us through each course with the proper pairing. I've been to other wine tastings, but never got an experience quite like this one. When we got to the dessert course the pairing of the wines and dessert bite from Pastry Art was exceptional. I typically don't go for red wines, but the wine plus the chocolate pastry made an explosive interaction with each other against my tastebuds. It's awesome to know of this business and the amazing service that comes with it. They do offer free wine tasting to the public on Friday nights so I will definitely be back!”

“Modern upscale but relaxed atmosphere tucked in a strip mall setting. Service was great. Staff was very knowledgeable. They made great recommendations based on just a few questions. The burrata with olive oil and crostini toast was a star. Creamy heaven on perfectly toasted bread. The 3 cheeses on the board were well balanced. Not pictured is the bread and olive oil dish. This was our least favorite dish. The olive oil was good quality but the bread was lackluster for us. If it were toasted it may have been better but for a plain piece of bread it just didn't add to the dish. Sort of like wheat bread from subway. We had two white wines based on their recommendations that were lovely. We even got a bottle of each to take home.”

The rum prices are a bit higher than what I pay at home, but I did find a Plantation Jamaican Dry on sale, so I picked it up. They also carry nice, higher priced rums that are hard to find.The two ladies were very nice working the registers.”
