I am not one usually speak negatively of a business but in this case, I feel it needs to be said. Especially seeing as I've given him chances to respond to calls and texts and he hasn't made it right.Do not buy a vehicle from Up a Notch Auto Sales unless you take it to a shop and have them *thoroughly* examine the vehicle inside and out to make sure that there are no issues whatsoever. Oh, and that the carfax are accurate and read them in depth. We were sold a vehicle that were were told was in great condition at the time and that there were no issues. This was in July I believe? It had noticeable transmission issues the 1st week of owning it and Josh allowed us to use other lot vehicles for a couple of weeks while this vehicle went into 3 or 4 separate shops to get checked out. Turns out he put a used transmission in it while it was supposed to be at a shop but he decided to work on it himself from what I understand and it wasn't even the correct model for our vehicle? We obviously continued to have transmission issues. We were able to get the warranty to cover the new transmission but it was in the shop for OVER 2 MONTHS. It STILL needs a whole new suspension and possibly a new fuse box or maybe a wire- pretty sure it's something with the stabilitrak system. We aren't sure what exactly is causing it yet but will be figuring that out asap. This car has been cutting off randomly WHILE DRIVING because the electrical unit isn't connecting to the engine like it should be from what I'm gathering. It powers down and locks up. We have children. This has literally happened over 20 times at this point. He sent someone out months ago to fix it and the guy bought a new piece and temporarily fixed it but it's right back to doing it again. Several of those times being while my kids were in the car with me. Thank GOD we haven't been hit yet but it could happen at any time. He was supposed to buy this car back but didn't want to until warranty fixed the issues! And now isn't even returning our calls or texts. I knew the owner too and trusted him. I'm so incredibly disappointed and aggravated. This vehicle is a really expensive piece of junk. Unfortunately, Alabama doesn't have a lemon law on used vehicles or else we'd absolutely go that route.

Up A Notch Auto Sales has provided excellent customer service, and great candid feedback and advice when I was in the market to purchase a quality used car. If you are looking for broken, busted, bumper missing, and raggedy vehicles this is NOT the place to find them! Josh DOES NOT SALE YOU JUNK!Josh had patience with me and was willing to work with me if I needed to put down a down payment. He was straightforward and down to earth. He even repaired two vehicles for family members. Thanks for “putting up” with my complex and complicated godmother. Hopefully she will stop being so cheap (oops, I mean ?) picky and buy a vehicle.
