Allison at this location feels empowered to manipulate the customers. Clearly on the website, Game Stop is pre-offering a particular amount for resale items. Her customer service was manipulative because she did not honor the price presented on the website. She instead forced me to add a game (Madden 24) to my sale in order to receive the amount offered online. When I pointed this out! She doubled down on deceit and even misspoke to justify her actions. Incentives are always offered in sales and she is clearly out for recognition and to gain a profit. Even going as far as to take money out the cash register draw in the middle of the day as if the other BLACK customer and myself were going rob her. Very biased undertone to this location. I would NOT encourage anyone to buy or sale anything to or from Allison with the expectation of a fair trade. HORRIBLE customer service! I feel hoodwinked!

First time in the Hoover location. Went in yesterday evening and the employees were extremely helpful. They helped me find just what I needed and I will be returning to this location because of it!! Thanks, guys!

This is my home GS store for over 10 years. Allison the Mgr and team are by far the best crew for anything video game questions to help you make the best of your time shopping there. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended to shop this location, always a positive experience. Cheers to Team Allison!

Store was trying to close early which is very inconvenient to paying customers. I wanted to purchase a game for my sons Birthday. The game I requested didn't cost the same as Gamestop on Google was advertising. I asked if they priced matched with Walmart and they said no. This place just lost a $60-$70 sale. It was a very unpleasant and unwanted feeling shopping at this store so I may think to shop elsewhere in the future.

I didn’t know how to use the mic on my PS5 controller so I called this store where I purchased my PS5 to get some help and the girl that answered said she didn’t know and to go to YouTube and follow a guide on YouTube. Lol your workers getting paid to answer the phone and tell customers to find their answers on YouTube.

It wasn't very crowded and the lady who worked the counter was very sweet to my children. She walked them through using their gift cards.

Pre ordered a game from them, and they claimed they never received it in. Was patient for 3 weeks. Never got the game. Now I have to try and track one down when I pre ordered to avoid it. Simply unacceptable.

Came in for new gaming headset & was assisted immediately by an attentive & helpful clerk ! Would strongly recommend to make this store your GameStop home in Birmingham. They even actually answer the phone lol

I wish I could give Noah 0 stars!!!! He was extremely misinformed about their refund policy. I purchased a game on 4/4/22 and was wanting to return it today (4/12/22). The game was not opened plus I had a receipt. The receipt was a little worn from being in my pocket. So he looked me up in the system and saw my transaction. But still refused to give me refund. What a waste of time. Gas is too high and I work too hard to waste my time and money in the same place. I will NEVER shop at that location again. I called the customer service and they too are confused and told me to go to another store. They said Noah should have honored their 30 day return policy if nothing else.....with or without a receipt!!! They need to close that location.

Husband reserved a game and put money towards it. It comes in and calls about hours and was told that they sold his reserved copy. Why sale someone's game when they reserved it and already put money towards it?? Would not recommend it.

Decent selection. Large location. Mac was the employee working. Tried to be friendly to him and he was extremely rude and we were his only customers. Would definitely not return.

I have never considered myself a n**** nor a gamer. But apparently I attract those people in my life as friends. The majority of my friends in college were nerds. Always talking about games, toys and things that honestly were above me. I didn't know who what where or when. One of my best friends loves this one Pokemon and I have been looking for things that are that specific Pokemon for a while now to send to him as a very late (whoops) Christmas present. I figured if anyone were to have what I am looking for it would be Game Stop. They have just about everything else, so why not try. Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking to get my friend. Though what they did have was a whole lot of games for all types of devices (xbox, playstation, Nintendo switch). It is a pretty big store and the people who work here are very easy going. I'll be back in for the Funko Pops. I love looking at them and seeing all of the cute little trinkets. They have a lot of them, but not all of them. I am currently seeking 1092 which is the dog Dug from Up with a small squirrel next to him. I think it is the cutest and he is my favorite of the Pixar characters. So I have been keeping an eye out for that specific one. All in all, this is a very nice shop. If you or someone you love is a gamer, this is the place for ya'll!
